"Are you feeling any better?" Sterling asked softly, running his fingers through her hair.

"I guess…" She mumbled.

"Do you… want me to go? Or should I stay?"

"No…please don't leave me alone…" Her grip on him tightened.

"Okay. Then I'll stay," Sterling murmured, kissing her forehead again.

She smiled a little, just having him around helped her relax.

"I know you might not want to right now, but you should probably eat something. And I brought an ice pack for your ankle," Sterlkng said softly.

"Mmm, fine." She took a deep breath and scrubbed her face of lone tears.

Sterling smiled and pecked her lips quickly. "Good. If you'll put your foot up, I'll set the ice pack on your ankle."

She pulled her blankets off and placed her left foot over the edge of the bed, taking a bite of her food.

"Do you have any extra pillows? Or blankets? It would be good if we could elevate it," Steeling said as he grabbed the ice pack.

"Not really. I do have a pillow but that's it." She pulled a small pillow from under her bed that she'd found the night before.

"That'll work. We really just need to elevate it a little," Sterling said as he took the pillow and tucked it under her bad foot.

"Well don't I feel pampered." She laughed.

Sterling laughed lightly and leaned over to kiss her nose. "Good. Continue to feel pampered," he said, setting the ice pack on her ankle before he moved to sit beside her.

(This song is funny. It's called Replay, and it's talking about how she could listen to something all day, and that's flow I feel about this song. Lol.)

"I love you, ya dork." She chuckled.

"Love you, too, sweetheart," Sterling chuckled back. "How's that breakfast?"

"Um…well it's food. It's edible so meh."

Sterling snorted, rolling his eyes. "I thought it was pretty good for camp food."

"For camp food, maybe, for actual food, no."

"Okay, I guess that's true," Sterling chuckled.

"Exactly." She smiled a little.

"But, hey! It's better than starving, right?" Sterling joked with a shrug.

"Meh. I guess." She shrugged.

Sterling rolled his eyes and kissed her softly. "It's better. If you starved, I wouldn't be able to see you anymore."

"That's assuming I died. Assassins fake their deaths to get out of tight situations all the time."

"Yeah, but you'd probably have to break off all contact with me, so I would probably never see you again," Sterling pointed out.

"I'd find a way. We always do."

Sterling raised an eyebrow at her. "You do, eh? And what does that usually entail?"

"Ehhh, not much." She chuckled nervously. Lots of death and manipulation.
