"I have all of them," she smiled warmly, excitedly, "On my desk."
"I have all of them," she smiled warmly, excitedly, "On my desk."
That smile… at the mere sight of it, his confidence turned to mush. “Would it be okay.. to read them to you?”
Edonine pushed a lock of hair off his face. "Absolutely.."
The Lieutenant lifted his hands to brush down the length of his coat, "Do you plan on being a celibate woman, Jane?"

“Not in the least… my sir,” she replied softly, fingering her petticoats.
He pulled a small, folded letter out of his breast pocket. “Should we go to your room?”
(Ou, things heating up with Andrane ;)
"Yes." Edonine answered. Delta spread his wings, settling on his owner's slim shoulder.
André glanced down to her feet, and his gaze travelled up. "Really?"
A few minutes later, Pierre and Edonine were sitting on top of her bed. Pierre licked his lips nervously, tugging Edonine to him, and unfolded the letter.
André glanced down to her feet, and his gaze travelled up. "Really?"
“You question my answer?” She arched an eyebrow, taking a step closer.
André glanced down to her feet, and his gaze travelled up. "Really?"
Jane tilted her head and took a step closer to him. “Would I lie to you, my sir?”
"I don't think so," André replied, lifting his chin with anticipation.
Edonine laid her head against his shoulder to listen.
She kept coming nearer. “Well then…” She was one step away. “What next, my sir?”
"What wouod you be okay with..?" Andre asked quietly.
With Edonine snug against his side, he cleared his throat, and began to read the most recent letter.
My dearest Edonine,
I’ve only sent you two other letters, which I’m sorry for, time has been sparse with the commander. I continue to miss you every day, and can only hope that you feel the same about me.
It won’t be long before the General asks us to leave and stray closer to the front lines, but as you said, I have a guardian angel watching over me, and will return home. I promise you that much. I also believe that I’ve become the guardian angel of a boy who claims to be sixteen, his name is Francis and he puts almost as much faith in me as you do. I can only hope that I’ll be able to protect him when the time for battle comes.
I’m afraid that I am not the best at writing letters, my attempts at poetry are clearly not successful, but I do try, so forgive me. Forgive me also if I overstep any boundaries in what I say next: I cannot stop thinking of the day we parted, when you cupped my cheek in your palm and pressed your thumb against the corner of my mouth. It is dangerous of me to say, but the mere thought of it has made my heart pound in my chest. I cannot tell a lie, I had to be honest with you.
I hope to read this letter to you in person, Edonine.
With love, Pierre
"What wouod you be okay with..?" Andre asked quietly.
“Let’s just say I’m not one for taking things slow,” she replied. “But for you, my sir, I will do anything.”
"Anything?" André asked huskily.
Edonine looked up at him, teary eyed. "Aw.."
Cheeks aflame, he averted his eyes.
"Anything?" André asked huskily.
“Anything,” she repeated, her lips pulling into a smirk.
André leaned down. At first, seemingly to kiss her, but instead to sweep Jane off her feet into firm, war-strengthened arms.
"Okay, read the next one," Edonine spoke excitedly.
Pierre felt tingles race down his spine. “You liked it that much?”
"Of course!" She exhaled giddy laughter, "Nobody else raphsodizes over me!"
The comment only served to further deepen his blush as he folded the letter and pressed it into her hands. "That was the most recent letter.. where are the others?"
André leaned down. At first, seemingly to kiss her, but instead to sweep Jane off her feet into firm, war-strengthened arms.
“Oh!” she cried, curling into his chest. “My sir!” Jane looked up at his face.
She stood up, left the room for a brief moment, and returned with the rest of them, still neatly tucked into the envelope.
André felt his face heat up with an impeccable kiss of joy– just seeing her light up like that. "Goodness, you're so light!" He teased.
Jane giggled. “I try, my sir…”
