Jane ate in a lady-like fashion, unlike the behavior she’d demonstrated just before. “So, Lieutenant,” she murmured when there was a brief break in the meal, “tell me about yourself. Something you’ve never told anyone else before.”
Jane ate in a lady-like fashion, unlike the behavior she’d demonstrated just before. “So, Lieutenant,” she murmured when there was a brief break in the meal, “tell me about yourself. Something you’ve never told anyone else before.”
"Oh," he exhaled. "I've already done that,"
Jane bit her lip. Right. “Tell me something from before that.”
"Um.. I owned a pig, once..?"
"Just ask," Geoffrey spoke. "She doesn't have to answer, I just wanna see how this goes,"
"What would you say if I was in your position?" Cruz commented.
Pierre was close to hiding his face in his hands at this point. “I can’t ask her— she doesn’t work that way. Maybe if she was a different woman.”
"You're letting your only chance of a wife go," Cruz commented.
Francis sighed slowly, rubbed his rough hands together.
At the word ‘wife’, Pierre reddened. “Don’t get ahead of yourself, Cruz,” he joked lightly, though flushed. “I only met her five days ago.”
Louis laughed loudly and clapped him on the back again. “You’ve fallen fast, then.”
"Exactly my words," Cruz chimed in, picking up Geoffrey's metal flask to chug the water inside. Geoffrey gave him a snide look, but let him. Geoffrey'd make him refill it later.
"What's it like to be married?" Francis asked the men.
Pierre gestured to Louis with a slight smile. “He’s the one you should be asking.”
The big man suddenly seemed very flustered. “Oui, mais, we have only been married for a month. And it is not.. it is not official marriage. More of a secret, oui?”
(Would Cruz and Geoffrey be good people to trust with a secret ‘marriage’ with another man?)
Oh yeah xD Cruz is an ass but hes probably the most loyal character I have )
"Mm." Cruz nodded, screwing the cap onto the flask.
Francis leaned forward with interest. "Is it fun?"
(Cruz is fantastic XD)
Louis tugged at his short ponytail, eventually pulling the tie out of it. His hair fell just above his shoulders, masking part of his blush. “It is, but mostly it’s… comforting. You know there’s always someone there… tu sais? My partner, they are very, err… romantic?”
XD! Hes one of my favorite sons )
Also in the dark cliff rp, HE CAN PLAY THE SAX LIKE GOD HIMSELF )
Francis smiled. "You kiss a lot?"
Cruz snickered. "I envy this kid's innocence."
(Yasss lol)
Pierre snorted, cuffing the boy lightly with one hand. “You’ve got a lot to learn, kid.”
Louis ran a hand through his dark hair, his deepening blush spreading across his features. It was uncanny, to see such a burly man looking so shy all of a sudden. “Me and him—“ He cut himself off sharply, eyes darting to Francis’s for any sign of disgust. Pierre held his breath.
Francis smiled a little wider. There was a note of.. admiration, actually, that he had the bravery to love in the face of danger. "Him?"
Geoffrey's worried, stiff frown relaxed into a smile of relief.
Louis looked like he could have melted in relief. “Oui. Him.” Pierre patted him on the arm reassuringly, turning to explain to Francis. “It’s why he said ‘secret marriage.’”
"What's he like?" Francis asked excitedly.
Cruz glanced at his friends, then back to the short kid.
Louis shushed him, glancing around in case anyone was listening. “Blond,” he started in a quiet tone. “Beautiful eyes— two different colours. Bleu, et l’autre comme le soleil.” He had drifted into French again, as he often did when reminiscing. It took Pierre to translate, though his grasp on French was slippery. “One blue, the other ‘like the sun.’ Basically hazel.”
Louis nodded, smiling softly. “He is a musician. Voice like an angel.”
"Awe.." Francis giggled.
They all smiled, and Pierre flicked Francis’s arm. “What about you? Is there a special someone?”
"Maybe," he replied shyly. Geoffrey and Cruz chuckled warmly.
Having regained his confidence, Louis leaned forward and withheld his eyebrows conspirationally. “Do tell.”
"Well," he sat a little more upright, fixing his shirt. "They're.. Taller than me, sweeter than they think, kind of cynical," he described softly.
Pierre leaned forward to rest his chin on his fist. “What’s their name?”
"Um.. I owned a pig, once..?"
She giggled. “Is that it? Your deepest darkest secret is that you once owned a pig?”
His face reddened. "I'd rather not say," he replied mushily.
"Ooooo." Cruz laughed. "I feel like I'm babysitting a bunch of teenage girls,"
Louis shook a fist at the Spaniard, clearly joking. “Watch it, tiny.”
Pierre raised a dark eyebrow. “Come on, I told you. So did Louis, did he not?”
Cruz stuck out his tongue.
Francis shrugged slowly. Tucked hair behind his ear. "I d'no..~"
Louis and Pierre blinked in unison, but Pierre quickly mustered his almost brotherly, teasing air and leaned forward once more. “So you love them from afar?~”
"Yeah." He laughed sparsely. "I don't think.. They know," Francis commented.
Pierre slugged him on the shoulder, chuckling. “You’d better tell them, then. When you get back.” Every one of the guys noticed how he said ‘when’ and not ‘if’.
(I swear to god, if Francis dies…)
