Dak chuckled a little, "Makes sense. You see it as a vibrant place of life that you've gotten used to, and I'm seeing it as a dream I never bothered to go after."
Dak chuckled a little, "Makes sense. You see it as a vibrant place of life that you've gotten used to, and I'm seeing it as a dream I never bothered to go after."
“You should always chase your dreams…” Colton said quietly, “Even if they seem impossible.”
"Yeah and the white walls said otherwise," Dak said in a sarcastic tone.
“Well there aren’t anymore white walls,” Colton frowned at Dak, “And if I have anything to do with it, there never will be again.l
Dak looked at Colton with a smile before sitting up, "Thanks. I think now that I've seen the world, maybe I'll fight a bit harder to stay in it."
Chrysi who had been eavesdropping out of sight for the entire thing had a small smile on her face. It wasn't just Colton that would keep him out of that lab, she would too.
Colton smiled back, “I wouldn’t say you’ve seen the world, you’ve seen a small portion of it. After all this you could go and explore the rest.”
Dak grinned, "Yeah. I could go and explore. I can do anything really now can't I?"
Colton nodded, “Yup. You can do whatever you want, when you want and no one can te,k you no… most of the time.”
"I'm figuring Chrysi and the other rebel ladies might say no occasionally," Dak laughed.
Colton laughed with him, “That’s for sure. But you can still do other things without being told no.”
"Yeah, like life and shit," Dak said happily.
Colton nodded with a small laugh, “Exactly that.”
"It's nice talking to someone my age-ish," Dak said with a happy sigh.
Colton nodded, rolling onto his back and closing his eyes, “Yeah, heck it feels nice having a friend again.”
"Did you not have any friends after moving?" Dak asked Colton.
Colton shook his head, “No. I didn’t have many friends here to be honest,” He admitted, “There was one guy, Lance but he…” Colton stopped himself, “Doesn’t matter.”
Dak frowned slightly but nodded, "Oh, well we're friends. And I'm sure the rebels will be your friends, even if they seem a bit cold at times."
Colton sighed through his nose and nodded, “I know. It’s a fresh start, for both of us.”
Colton sighed through his nose and nodded, “I know. It’s a fresh start, for both of us.”
"Yep, sort of glad I got kidnapped," Dak sighed.
Colton hummed in acknowledgment, “Better then being back there…” He mumbled.
(I honestly love them so much!!)
Dak shrugged, "Yeah I guess."
Colton raised an eyebrow but decided not to push anymore. He released a long sigh through his nose.
(???)
(Sorry, I was on phone and nearly asleep, I’ll change it now)
(Okay.)
Dak wondered if he had gotten annoyed again. Last time he hadn’t, but this time maybe. Chrysi came to the rescue, “You two do realize you have to build another one right?”
Colton groaned, “We were just taking a little brake, Chrysi,” He said, sitting up and standing, stretching himself out, “Come on Dak, let’s get back to work.” He gave him a smile.
Dak smiled back as he pulled himself up, "Yeah, yeah."
Chrysi rolled her eyes with a small smile as she walked away once again.
