"Point taken, but you still haven't told me much about what's going on in your classes," she prompted, giving him the cue to start talking.
"Point taken, but you still haven't told me much about what's going on in your classes," she prompted, giving him the cue to start talking.
"Ah…It's hard to remember.." Tyler admitted quietly. "I'm doing good though. It's challenging, but I like it."
"I'm glad you're enjoying it," Macha told him gently, squeezing his hand.
"So am I.." He smiled, squeezing her hand in return.
They arrived at the restaurant hand in hand, seating themselves near to a window.
The restaurant was busy but eventually a waiter came around and took their orders, leaving them to wait for the food.
Out of the blue, Macha turned to Tyler. "Wouldn't it be cool to have scales?"
Tyler burst out laughing and turned to look at her. "What?!"
She let out a short chuckle. "Sorry. I just mean— don't you think it would be cool? Hundreds of little interlocking plates?"
“I guess, if you like that kinda stuff.” He answered, still grinning over at her.
Macha was about to launch into a full three minute's worth of rambling about scale-like patterns and their history in architecture and a full analysis on the scales of gargoyles, but clamped her mouth shut before she could begin.
"Tell me." Tyler demanded, smiling knowingly.
Her eyes flitted away, a sheepish smile on her lips as she ran a hand through her hair. "It's all rambling, I don't want to bore you."
"You could never bore me." He replied, gazing at her with a smile on his face.
"This would," she promised with a small chuckle.
“Would not.” He retorted, laughing a little as well.
"Well, now I'm flustered anyways. It's not very interesting, anyways. Gargoyles and… stuff." She reached over the table, took his hand in hers.
Tyler pouted a little, taking her hand and giving it a kiss. “You have to tell me someday..”
Macha laughed sweetly. "It's just nonsensical rambling, love."
“I do that..” Tyler said quietly to himself, kissing her hand again.
Macha twisted her wrist so that she could press her thumb lightly against his lower lip. "That's different."
“But I love hearing your voice..” He said sadly, still looking at her hand.
"Aww…." Macha's heart melted, her hand moving to cup his cheek. "If you really want me to, I'll talk about something else."
“Talk about something you love.” Tyler told her.
"Like you?" She took hold of his hand next, bringing it to her lips.
“Noo not like me. Something else.” He laughed a little.
Her mouth turned down into a playful pout. “Aw. Fine. I’m— I’m working on this idea..”
Tyler nodded and he listened to her happily.
Macha bit the inside of her cheek before proceeding to launch into a description of the architecture project her professor had put the class up to. “We’ve got lots of time, it’s in the early stages right now. I’m doing a take on the Ancient Greek styles— the columns and arches and such— and designing a library.”
“That’s amazing Macha!” Tyler exclaimed, squeezing her hand.
