Asura blinked, standing up and rubbing his eyes. "Looks like your morning isn't going too great," he mumbled to Pluto.
Asura blinked, standing up and rubbing his eyes. "Looks like your morning isn't going too great," he mumbled to Pluto.
"Yeah, they do this sometimes," she grumbled, wincing at the slight pain of the appendages being in such disarray
Mike went to the kitchen and got out a frying pan. "Anybody else want eggs, or am I cooking for one?"
"I'm good," Asura said, planting his staff on the ground and leaning on it heavily.
"I've got stuff for omelets if you want it." She went to reach into the fridge but ended up accidentally smacking Mike in the face with one of her wings
Mike stepped back, blinking in annoyance. "…Thanks, I'll take whatever you can spare."
(I gotta go in a sec, just imagine Mike whipping up a sweet omelet and making snarky remarks while I'm gone)
(sorry, errors got me again) "Sorry," Pluto muttered. She started to make bacon while the omelets cooked, as well as made coffee. "Hey Asura, you sure you don't want coffee or something? Got tea too."
(sorry my dogs required an emergency bath and I had to fight them to rinse all the mud out of their fur. My last pair of pants has officially been ruined.)
He glanced over at her, yawning. "I think I'll be okay," he said.
Mike left the eggs to sizzle for a minute and began neatly laying out his weapons on the table. He picked up his knife and started to clean it, glancing down the hall at the bedrooms. "Guess Red's still asleep. She looked exhausted last night."
"Mm. Yeah." She watched Mike clean his weapons out of the corner of her eye while the bacon cooked. She poured a cup of coffee and covered it in whipped cream, absently drinking it
"So what's the plan then?" Mike asked. "We are gonna deal with Zoe eventually, right? And then we have to get out of here so we can get on with business."
"Deal with Zoe. Figure out a way to get past Samandriel. Then we get you guys home to wherever you come from." She fiddled with a few of her feathers, frowning a little when one fell out
"All right. Where is Samandriel relative to here? Very far?"
"Not quite sure, but I think the last gate is about two hours from here. He hates the ocean, and since we're right next to it he's tried to distance himself as much as possible while trying to stay close enough to monitor me. I'm thinking it might be hidden though. Ain't captain of the guard for nothing." She poked at the bacon, turning one or two here and there
(can the characters deal with Zoe after they leave? because I'm going to be gone today I think)
(sure. I should add that I have to go next, be back later)
(ok)
(thanks. You guys can do what you'd like with Asura while I'm gone, I don't really care lol)
(we'll just drag him places in the truck lol)
Mike got up and stirred the omelet. "Suppose somebody went to the approximate location of the gate and just asked for an audience with the guardian? You know, without sneaking, or beating around the bush?"
"Well you'd have to go through his servants first. And then there's always the possibility of some kind of trial. Then if you survive you'd probably get an audience with him. He's a smug asshole, but he's buddy-buddy with the goddess of justice, so he's gotta keep his word. And if we're lucky we might get to see Molhaven on the way to wherever."
"Molhaven?"
Pluto sighed, taking another swig of coffee. "City of the gods. Well, more of an entire dimension, but you get the point. Whole place is crawling with every manner of creature, specifically demons and angels. The demons are fine, Damascus won't let them hurt any of us if we end up there, but the angels will have our asses in a heartbeat. Then there's the matter of the guard."
Mike took the omelet off the stove and started dishing it out. "Sounds complicated…..but not impossible. Dealing with snotty administrators usually sucks, but sometimes it's the best way to move forward. When does he start seeing guests?"
Pluto put the cooked bacon on a plate and moved it over to the side. "Usually whenever from my understanding. Though for some reason I've found most of his magic doesn't work in this dimension. So we'll probably end up in his Molhaven palace when we find the gate out of here."
"All right. Then how about once everyone's ready, we head out and I'll see if I can get this guy to help us. If he refuses, I guess we'll have to come up with another plan."
Pluto grabbed a plate with an omelet and grabbed a few pieces of bacon. "Well if we're really lucky I might be able to call in a favor. I've got a reaper friend who might be able to get Damascus to bribe Sammy into letting us off easy. Guy was never too bright."
Mike sat down and started eating. "Good. Why don't you try to get in touch with that guy while we wait for Red to wake up."
"Yeah, yeah." She grabbed her plate and walked down the hallway. She went into her room and closed the door, then grabbed her phone. Dialing a number, she put it on speaker and ate while it rang. There was a bit of static when it picked up, and then someone who didn't look older than 18 popped up on the video feed. He was covered in blood and his messy hair covered half his stitched face.
"Hey, Pluto! What's up? Thought you were tryin'a give us the cold shoulder!" There were vague fighting noises coming from behind him, and he turned around. "Shut it, can't you see I'm on the phone?!" The feed blurred as the boy turned around to slug what looked like an angel directly in the nose
(am I supposed to say something cuz I thought Mike was in the other room)
