Amber stopped. She was a little oblivious to parts of the story and interrupted. "Wait, so Anna died?"

Kira laughed. "Didn't you see her corpse after we left the gross prison? Sami dragged Anna to the river when no one was watching and ten minutes later, she's alive again."

"I didn't see a corpse." Ariene lied. "But the last time I had seen Anna before she had disappeared, she was badly injured. Sami probably brought her to the lake to help aid all the deep cuts."
She looked towards Anna and Sami. She had seen Anna's corpse but didn't want Sami to be punished for reviving her.

"Don't. Lie. To. Me."

Ariene looked away nervously but tried her best to act confident, "I'm not."

Kira smirked. "Right. Well, break's over. Let's go."

Ariene nodded and sighed in relief.

"We really should get going."

Anna was still very angry, but she was glad that the people that she now considers her friends (except for Kira) came to her and Sami's aid. She diug her thumbnail into the pad of her index finger, a habit she got whenever she was angry. The sting calmed her down just the little bit that she needed, allowing her to think rationally.
Anna has always had anger issues. Not being around very many humans hasn't helped.
She sighed again, following the misfit-group of people in their trek.
She didn't want anything more except to flee, back into the woods, but something about Sami kept her with the group.
If she left, Sami wouldn't have anyone protecting her from Kira and her wrath. She'd be alone.

Amber urged Duchess along and tried to ignore the fighting voice in her head telling her to run away, or a worse option, attack Kira. She looked around at the group that surrounded her. Her master and her dog, the princess, a knight, a witch and a dead girl. Over the course of just a couple days, they had formed such a strange group. Amber struggled to believe it was all real.

Kira frowned. They probably thought they were getting away with it, didn't they. We'll see about that.
