(I'll post later cuz it's kinda late here and idk what to write right now lol)
(Idk but now that I’m working with him Zol seems like he is such an honorable character except he’s more like an adorable cinnamon roll.)
Zol sat still awkwardly. He wished he could think of something to say, but he could not. His mind was a mess of chaos that he desperately wished to control but every time he would try everything would go wildly out of focus. What was wrong with him? Breath. he told himself. Concentrate.
(I adore this cinnamon roll. honestly.))
Citra sat just as still as her companion, unsure of what to do. If she were being honest with herself, that had been the longest conversation she had ever had with a male outside of her family. Her sister had been the favorite, with her pure magic and staggering beauty. Citra frowned down at her hands. How does one….flirt? She shook the thought away. Zol had saved her life is all. He was a friend. Stupid, girl.
Everything in Zol was screaming. He decided the best choice was to flee. No, he thought get some air. He remembered Pipers abrupt departure. He should check on her. “I must check on Piper.” he said. “She seemed uneasy.”
Piper walked up from the Ocean, her head bent over, trying to shake the water from it. Peering up at the sky, she decided that much time hasn't passed since her little escape. The conversation with Her seemed to last hours, but only a couple of minutes, maybe half an hour, passed upon Earth. Time always passed slower in the Ocean.
Zol walked a ways away. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He let his consciousness seep out of his head and sweep through the surrounding area. He felt off to the side and felt the spark of life. Zol opened his eyes. Piper. He started to walk in her direction.
Feeling someone watching her, her head jerked up to see Zol walking towards her. Piper's mood dropped. He was the reason she had to go to Her in the first place. She turned, and pretended not to see him, wringing her hair out.
Zol walked towards her. “Piper!”he called.
She visibly sighed, and turned around. "Hello, Zol," Piper said, her voice holding no emotion. Inside her, a storm was brewing. Why'd it have to be him?
He stared at her, concerned. “How are you?”
"Fine." Her response was curt. Behind her back, Piper's hurt hand pulsed, and she hid her wince. The Ocean had no idea how to fix her wound, which was both internal and external.
“Please.” he said, “I am ignorant but no fool. Something troubles you. Please tell me. I may be able to ease your burden.”
Piper's eyes darkened, and the water around her feet grew rough. "You cannot heal what you have hurt, Zol." Venom laced her voice, and she dared him to provoke her even more.
Zol looked completely shocked. “I knew not that I had committed such a misdeed. Tell me immediately, that I may beg your pardon!”
Piper's fists clenched, and her nails dug into her palms. She glared at him, and spoke with a deadly calm. "You interrupted my healing spell. I am a dark-water hybrid, or have you forgotten? As a pure light, you overpowered my dark element, making it disappear completely!" Her voice rose with every word, and the waves had heightened a couple feet, now crashing against her waist.
(Like all her power is gone? Or just all the spell work on Citra.)
(i was thinking it since Zol is a pure light (i think) that it completely obliterated her dark side since she was only half-dark because her hand was on the wound too when Zol did his spell. so basically now she's just half water half human until she finds a way to get her dark back.)
If it was more possible for Zol to look shocked he did now. “I-I-,“ he stuttered, “I know not what to say!” He was completely distraught. Where was the honor of one who had unrighteousness taken the power of another? He was to be shamed forever!
He knelt down in front of her, pressing his face to the ground in complete submission. “In the name of all things sacred I beg you for your pardon! I shall do whatsoever you think right to redeem myself from this grave error!”
((automatic response was to dip. lol what a mood.))
Citra sat within the cave, staring at the spot where Zol had vanished after Piper. She let out a rather filthy curse. I truly mucked that up didn't I? She twirled her hand, playing with a blackflame.
Tears started to stream down Piper's face. She could barely see through them, everything a blurry mess. "You can't! You-You can't…" Her voice started out loud, but soon quieted to a whisper. Piper crumpled on the ground,, water crashing around them. I don't even know who I am anymore…
Zol held out a hand to raise her. “Please.” He said sadly, “let me help you.”
She held her hurt hand close to her chest. "No! You have already caused enough damage!" Piper yelled. She could feel the salty taste of tears on her lips.
“You wish to be alone then?”
