Atlas looked up curiously as an owl ducked through a large window at the back of the hall. It was proud and fierce, easily considered nobility’s. It flew to Dumbledore and let him untie a scroll, which he immediately frowned at. She turned to Vega to make eye contact and do the whole ‘twin telepathy’ thing where they knew what the other was thinking.
Vega nodded, making eye contact with Atlas and frowning slightly. Whatever was so important that it interrupted the Welcome Feast and made Dumbledore look so concerned couldn’t be good.
Arryn watched the interaction between the siblings and nudged Atlas "what's going on?" She asked
“The letter,” she replied simply. Before she could say anything else, Dumbledore stood up.
“I’m afraid I’m being called away for just a bit. Some important business. No matter of yours! Enjoy the feast.”
Vega couldn’t help but nod with the rest of the school and continue the feast, though she was thinking hard and fast. Dumbledore hasn’t ever been called away from the feast before…
Before she could talk herself out of it, Vega stood up and hurried over to the Ravenclaw table, squeezing herself between Atlas and Arryn. “What’d you think?”
"There is something fishy going on." Arryn spoke up
“I agree,” Vega said, nodding vigorously. She turned to Atlas. “Any ideas?”
“The stirrings, you know. I bet You-Know-Who did something really bad. Worse than what’s already happened,” she said, craning her neck to see what was happening. A commotion broke out by the Gryffindor table, the Marauders running off.
//Voldemort already had some power by now right
Arryn sighed "I admire the extremely thought out pranks the boys create but I wonder why they ran off right now."
“Probably to follow Dumbledore, they love pestering him. Leave it to the boys - we’ll know what’s up by tomorrow.”
//cut to tomorrow - Thanks to the boys, they did, in fact, know what was happening by now.
(Why do I imagine Sirius being the one to accidentally spill it during breakfast and get in trouble will Mcgonagall? Lmao)
//Sirius, very loudly: I can’t believ the Order is getting together to attack You-Know-Who!
McGonagall: a deep and heavy sigh
(The rest of the hall: O.o)
//lol
“Yeah, no kidding,” Vega said, smiling slightly. “We probably will. But, on a mildly unrelated note, how is Dumbledore going to do anything about it? Not to underestimate him or anything….”
Arryn stretched and looked at the table. "I despise mornings." She grumbled
“I don’t know. Like on one hand, the Malfoys listen to him,” Atlas started, glancing at Lucius. “But on the other hand, I feel like he’s the kinda person to die by tripping and hitting his head.”
(ma L FOY)
“That’s very true,” Vega said, laughing lightly. (Is that a thing?) “But the Malfoys also have to keep up appearances, you know?”
Arryn laughed, nodding her head in agreement. "Wait, then what does this mean about classes? I have potins first." She groaned.
(M A L F OY)
“Honestly, do classes really matter right now?” Vega asked nobody in particular. “I mean, if we’re all going to die tomorrow, I’d rather not have my last words be, ‘Oh, thank goodness I learned about the Draught of Living Death’.”
Arryn laughed "I dont want to go to Potions anyways, I was asking so that I could be happy." She smiled
“Alrighty then,” Vega nodded, turning to her twin. “What’d you think?”
“I hope they cancel, but you know. Whatever!” Atlas shrugged. “To bed?”
