“You look . . . young,” Andreas commented bluntly. “I know you aren’t,” he said, unapologetically. “But you look like it.”

"Yeah, no duh. I'm a spirit. I died at this age and I stay at this age." Elliot said a bit rudely, he hated when people commented on his age. I am calm, the picture of calm. I will not yeet this boy into the sun, I will not.

"Yeah no duh," Andreas said, matching the spirit's tone. "I just didn't know you died so young." He stuffed his hands into his front pockets and leaned against a space of counter that he hoped no one was using.

“Well now you have a reason to use it,” Alison chuckled as she turned right again down the next street.

M laughed softly, rolling his eyes. “I suppose I do.” He looked up. They were almost home…

“Mhmm,” Alison hummed in response, smiling up at him. “Hey. I just remembered that I forgot to tell you something.”

Elliot rolled his eyes and stayed quiet, still wanting to yeet this little shi out the fucking window.

“Well now you have a reason to use it,” Alison chuckled as she turned right again down the next street.

M laughed softly, rolling his eyes. “I suppose I do.” He looked up. They were almost home…

Eve smiled but shook her head. "That won't do. Unless you're willing to pay a small fee of my choice…" She giggled as she placed a finger against her lips.

Juliet laughed softly. "I said, 'Good morning…'" She drawled. "That's what people say when their awake…or getting there. Not going to sleep." She poked at his cheek.

Neo smiled a bit and shifted on the couch. “What type of fee are you imaginging, my lovely lady?” He grabbed her hands gently.

Zackary made a soft noise of protest when she poked him. “I just woke up cus of an itch!”

Alison grinned as she nodded. “Yup. Do you want to know what it was?”

M rose his eyebrows, noting the past tense. “What was it? Tell me!”

“I love you,” Alison giggled. That was it. That was all she needed to say.

M gave her a look, his lips pursed. “I thought it was something serious!” He nudged her. “But I love you too.”

“Hey, my love for you is serious!” Alison laughed, nudging him back playfully.

“I thought it was something serious,” M huffed grumpily.

Alison sighed. “Sorry, hun. Next time I’ll make sure not to joke like that.”

M gave her a look and nudged her again. “That’s okay. I just thought it was something seriouus because of our time apart.” He sighed deeply. “Worried.”

“Sorry, M. I’ll try to remember that next time,” Alison said softly. “But, hey! We’re almost home!”

M glanced up and pointed up a hill. “Yep. Just up that hill and to the lake.”

Alison nodded and hummed in response. “I love our home. It’s very beautiful. I’m glad we live there.”

M nodded in solemn agreement. “It’s very relaxing.” The ground under them started to slope up. M took it well, thanks to his long stride, but he had to stop every so often for her.

“Now I really feel short,” Alison muttered under her breath as she caught up to him. “This is the only thing I don’t like about it. This giant hill. Are you sure it’s not a mountain?”

M walked forward a couple more feet, turned to find her a distance away. He blinked down at his long legs, then up at her.
“I’m sure this isn’t a mountain. It is a normal hill.”

“It’s a freaking tall hill,” Alison grumbled. She blinked and grinned. “I bet this would be really fun to slide down if it was icy. Why haven’t I thought about that before now?”

Eve lowered her chin, looking up at him through thick lashes. "We haven't gone to dinner in a while….I wanna go somewhere romantic. Just you and I." She brought the hand that held hers to her lips and kissed it. "That's my fee, then you can have as many muffins as you'd like. Within reason, of course."

Juliet traced circles on his neck. "But you woke me up, so you need to stay up. "She held him tightly. "Entertain meeeeeee!"

M rolled his eyes and chuckled softly. “Why not just use our car? Or hire someone to pick you up?” He walked a couple more feet up the hill.

Neo laughed softly and returned the kiss to one on her forehead. “I couldn’t expect any less. Would you like me to rent out the entire restaurant? Or just reserve a booth for us?”

Zackary gave soft noises of protest, wiggling closer to her. “I didn’t mean to wake you! I’m sorrrryyyy!”
