It was happening again. The Trance. She was desperate to wake up and help her friends.
Phoenix began to shake and suddenly her eyes flew open and her wings burst out.
"ENOUGH!" she yelled, "Cyprus, thanks for getting rid of the demon, but please chill with the music. Pixie, now that you're un-possessed, I swear on the Stars I will bind your wings together if you don't shut up for two seconds."
She sat back down, hunching her shoulders and putting her face in her hands.
"I have a story to tell you all," she said with a sigh.

Addison snapped awake at Phoenix's voice. "Huh?"

(Hi)
"There are some things I need to explain," Phonix sighed, "Please don't hate me when I'm done."

Cyprus looked at Phoenix with tired eyes. He was drained, and was so tired of arguing with everyone. He walked over to Jay's body, flickering as he got closer. He disappeared, and Jay woke up with a gasp

Hearing Jay's gasp Phoenix turned to him.
"Oh good, you're back, Jay," she said with relief, "Do you have any idea of what happened while you were out?"

Addison flinched when Jay woke up. "Hey. You okay?" She asked weakly and sleepily.

Jay groaned. "I hate this planet. I can still feel where that pixie punched me. I'd love to sleep for the next three centuries."

Hestia had no idea what was going on, or where she was, or how she got there. One minute she was fighting some demon called empress, the next, she was in the middle of a forest with Cyprus free, and him holding a… violin? She left, deciding to pursue a carreer in acting.

"You and me both Jay. Stupid spells and monsters. I just wanna sleep! Phoenix, what do you need to tell us?" Addison said sleepily.

Jay managed to sit up and walk closer to Phoenix before sitting down next to her

(Bye!)

Phoenix took a deep breath and absorbed her wings into her back.
"As you all can tell, I am not human, nor are any of us, it appears," she began, looking up from her hands, "You might have gathered that I am from this planet. It has been many years since I last set foot in these forests, and when I left, I never expected to return."

Jay huffed. "Yeah, I've had a hunch you might be connected to this forest somehow."

"When my… when my family was murdered," Phoenix said with a shudder, shadows falling on her eyes, "I could not stay, so I stole a ship. I enchanted it to take me somewhere safe, and it took me to Earth. That was 9 years ago."

"That, um. That really sucks."

She gave him a wry grin, then frowned and looked down.
"This may sound horrible…" She hesitated, averting her eyes from the others', "But I was kind of… glad that they died."

"Well, it isn't horrible if they were bad people."

"They were," she assured, rubbing her hands over her face, "They were cruel and horrid. The loved the power they held and nothing else, not even me or my sister. They jettisoned her into space the day she got her wings, fearing she would become more powerful than them when she came of age."

"That's…That's horrible. I'm sorry." Jay looked down at his metal leg. "My parents weren't the nicest either. When the outbreak hit, they were some of the first to be killed. I cared about them, but they were just…" He trailed off

Phoenix placed her hand on his shoulder and gave him a small smile before continuing.
"When I arrived on Earth, I was confused," she said, "It was so much different than what I was accustomed to. I got a lot of strange looks for my markings and wings, so I learned to hide them. I used my magic to get clothes and food. Eventually, I figured out how to go to school. From there I squatted in hotel rooms and empty houses and magicked up food and clothes. I went to college and tech school and ended up in the program where I met all of you."

"Well, at least you're okay and you're here now."

Addison drags herself over to Phoenix. "I'm sorry that you has to go through that Phoenix." She ignored the pain that flared up her arm and shoulder.

“I just had a normal life?” Lucille said, not wanting to be left out.
