He knew he shouldn't look at it

“What do you want?” she called, opening drawers and searching for things.

"anything is fine"

She made them both sandwiches and filled glasses of water.

"thanks for doing this"

“No problem,” she said with a shrug. “It’s the least I could do.”

He smiled widely

She looked at him. “What?” she asked with a laugh.

"The fact I've known you for 4 days and your already taking care of me"

“Blind dates bring people together, right?” she asked with a laugh.

"True" he laughs also

She glanced at her laptop and shut it quickly.

"I didn't look at it. I promise"

“Okay,” she whispered, trying to ignore the newest email that came in.

Later there was a knock on the door "Could you get that…"

Bridget nodded. She stood up and opened the door.

it was his editor she looked pretty young

“Hello,” Bridget said, eying the woman.

"Is Joseph here?"

Bridget nodded. "Yes, he is. Would you like to come in?"

"If I may." as she walked in she notices Joseph "Is this how you treat a guest?"
"Hey…I'm sick…."

Bridget frowned and walked over to Joseph taking a deep breath. "Is there anything else you need, sir?" She winked at him and mouthed, "Go with it."

"U-Ummm…Medicine please"
"Anyways is the story done?"
"Just got finished"

Bridget complied and brought him his medicine. "Here you are, sir."

"thank you. You can go for now" he said as he sat up
His editor was confused "Anyways I'm just here to pick it up."
He points to his side table "Right here…"

Bridget nodded and left the room, but as soon as she turned the corner, she stayed there and remained out of sight so she could listen.

as she "stepped out" all you could here was fighting "You call this a Story? This is crap. No one will read this"
"YOU SAY THAT BUT MANY PEOPLE DO"

He stands up feeling dizzy "I. Said. Get. Out"

Bridget inhaled sharply.

She walks out as he falls to the floor trying to breath
