"Further west of here if I remember correctly," She replied, shifting through her items, "I'm not uh… exactly human, hence why I'm good at potion making and have the skills to do so."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial snorted, tucking her hair behind her ears and pointing to the curved and pointed tips, "I'm Eyvn. We're not that different from humans, maybe a bit more aggressive depending on who you talk to."

"Oh." Shiv sat back slightly. "'Kay." She rubbed her arm silently, seeming to be deciding whether to say more. "You know," she continued in a quieter voice. "I've always kinda wondered what it's like to be…a medic, ya know? I mean…besides all that magical stuff it don't seem to hard." She glanced around furtively. "Our old medic died a while ago, but he told me that anybody could learn it…"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial sighed a little, "If I'm being honest I wouldn't classify myself as a medic. Yes, I know a little healing magic, I know how to stitch, bandage and treat an infected wound but like your old medic said, anyone can learn. It's just about trying to find the right teacher to help."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

"Uh-huh…." Shiv leaned forward again, lowering her voice even more. "Well, I don't even know th' basic stuff. And I was kinda wonderin'….if you could, y'know, show me how it's d–"
The crunch of heavy footsteps somewhere close by cut her off, and she flinched nervously. "O-oh, hey, Chief! How are ya? I'm jus' making sure the prisoner knows what'll happen if she tries anything…" she laughed shakily.
"Leave," Boar-back told her. "Tell Blue Tommy to take your place. If I see you talking with the prisoner again, I'll feed you to the others."
Shiv bolted. Boar-back crouched down in her place, peering inside. "What do you need to make healing potions?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial narrowed her eyes at him, leaning back on her hands and crossing one leg over the other, "Now let's see… nutmeg, ginger, chamomile, garlic, valerian, yarrow… Actually do want me to just write you a list in case you can't remember everything in that small brain of yours?"

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

He tapped the handle of his axe coldly. "Write down how much you need to make a month's supply. And it is my bandits who have the small brains. If there are any complicated instructions, make sure you are very clear or they will not understand."

@ElderGod-Carrots

She snorted, grabbing an old piece of paper out her bag as well as a very small pencil, writing down what she needed, "Please, I'm not telling you or your bandits my secrets. I'll make the potions, they just have to get what I need to do so, they literally have to hand pick them and I can do everything else."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial shrugged, "Maybe because you aren't scary? Or because I know I could kill you if I wanted to but I'm trying to be the better person here."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

He raised the remnants of one eyebrow in what might have been mild amusement. "Really….? That's so kind of you. I'm grateful you've decided to let me live." There came the sound of more footsteps approaching and he stood up. "Keep dreaming, little girl. I haven't tried to be scary yet." He spoke to the bandit who'd just arrived. "Don't let her leave. Don't speak to her. If she start acting oddly in any way, sound the alarm."
The bandit, apparently Blue Tommy, sat in front of the entrance and glared at Tanrial with slightly bloodshot blue eyes. He didn't quite look like he had all his marbles anymore.

@ElderGod-Carrots

(Ooft, well, Ima head to bed and try and get a lil more sleep then yesterday, seeya later ^^)
"I might be little in size but I'm older then you'll ever be!" She called after his retreating figure before cursing him under her breath. She then went back to finishing her list.

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

(Seeya! Sleep well! ^^)
As expected, Blue Tommy was not great conversation and the rest of the night dragged somewhat. At one point there was some screeching and crashing as a random scuffle broke out between two bandits, but otherwise all was quiet.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial was on guard most of the night and into the early morning. She only chanced sleep a couple times, fearing that Blue Tommy would take her things, or anyone would for that matter. Needless to say, she wasn't in the best of moods by morning.

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

The sunrise was announced by a bandit climbing up into a tree at the edge of camp and scaring up a flock of crows roosting there, perhaps to steal some eggs for breakfast. The crows did not take kindly to this and loudly attacked the bandit, mobbing him with such determination and teamwork that in a few moments he lost his balance and feel from the tree with a wail.
The commotion woke the whole camp, and scrawny men and women began reluctantly emerging from their shelters, yawning and grumbling. Those that had been awake all night now filed off to sleep, except for Blue Tommy, who seemed to be perfectly alert in a weird sort of way.
Eventually Boar-back emerged from the largest tent and made his way at a leisurely pace over to the fallen bandit, casually swatting away a couple crows that tried to harass him. Picking the unfortunate man up by his collar and growling at him until he got his feet under him, the chief pointed towards Tanrial's shed and said something, then left.
Sniffling, the bandit trudged over, cradling his arm, which looked badly broken. Blue Tommy slowly moved out of the way, grinning as if the sight of the injury was funny to him.
"H-hey," the injured bandit quavered, gingerly kneeling down at the entrance. "Magic lady…..are you awake in there? I b-broke my arm….."

@ElderGod-Carrots

(claps I claps love claps live claps footy claps)
Tanrial has been attempting to jungle three of her potions only to jump at the new voice. Luckily, she used her magic to form a small bet to catch them before they broke. Turning to the bandit with a slight glare, she sighed, the glare disappearing when she noticed his arm, “How’d you do that?” She asked, motioning him over.

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

(Nice XD Honestly, almost anything is better when it's live, I think ^^)
He scootched inside, awkwardly trying not to bump his arm on anything. It was a bad break and he was obviously trying not to cry from the pain. "I w-was really hungry and I thought maybe those birds wouldn't miss a coupla eggs, s-so I climbed up in th' tree but they all attacked me and-and I fell out."

@ElderGod-Carrots

(True. But I hate it when we’re six goals up at the end of the 3rd quarter then only two at the end of the 4th as our defence becomes sloppy and we go to sleep… we one tho so that’s good)
She hummed her acknowledgment, ruffling through her bag and pulling out a container of salve that had nearly run out and a black potion, “Right. Okay, first of all I need you to take some of this, it’ll numb your arm a bit and lessen the pain. Though it does taste bad I have to warn you.”

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

(lol big mood XD)
The bandit accepted her offering and took a drink without hesitation, only to screw up his face a second later and almost spit it back out. His arm must have been really hurting, though, because he forced himself to swallow and held up the potion questioningly. "Is that enough? S-should I take more?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Hm… that should be enough,” She replied, taking the bottle back and putting it down, “Give it a minute and it’ll start to kick in, I’ll get to work when it does,” Sighing she twisted the lid on the salve absentmindedly, “What’s your name?”

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

"Yeh, you too." The bandit seemed to be in much higher spirits now that the pain was gone, and became quite chatty. "I mean, it's more cool that I'm meeting you 'cause I'm not very important, I'm just a Dreg, see, so I'm not good for much–but I'm here in one of the king-tribes, so tthat's means I'm real lucky. You are too, ya know. Bein' part of a king-tribe means you're safer 'cause the tribes more powerful. I used to be part of a teeny little band but then Boar-back killed our boss and told us to join up so we did an' now here we are." He grinned proudly. "Pretty great, huh?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial shrugged, “Yeah I guess so. If I’m being honest I wanna get outta here as soon as I can. Things to do, people to see and all that jazz.”

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

He tilted his head, his smile fading. "Oh….well, I guess if you're new here than that makes sense. But you can't leave, you're our medic now! If you hadn't been there to fix my arm, it could've got infected an' I'd have to cut it off or somethin'!"

@ElderGod-Carrots

She narrowed her eyes at him, “One, your arm isn’t fixed yet, I just took away the pain, the break is still there. Two, I have important things my friends and I need to complete and three, you can find another medic.”

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

"But–but–" Ango glanced in dismay at his still-floppy arm. "But medics are really really rare 'round here! Besides…" He lowered his voice in a confidential manner. "I don't think the chief will let you leave, anyway."
He was going to say more when Blue Tommy suddenly loomed in the doorway, fixing Ango with the evil eye. He tapped his wrist, like he was tapping a watch.
Ango blanched. "Um–right. Anyway, uh, c-could you please fix my arm now?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Yeah, hold still." Gently taking Ango's arm, Tanrial let her magic feel out the break. Once she had a good idea of it, she pushed the bones back into place, using the small bit of healing magic she knew to seal the bones together. It took a lot of concentration, but soon enough, she was satisfied and putting some of the salve on his arm, "The salve will stop the ache you'll feel for the rest of the day."
