Haile debated. "Depends."

"On what?" It was Ana who spoke this time.

He nodded to his chains.

Eli uncrossed his arms. "Oh no. That's not happening."

Haile shrugged.

"Maybe if you give us some information, we'll consider it." Jace said, knowing fully no one would even bother, not even himself, but it was worth trying to get something out of Haile.

Eli saw where Jace was going, and smirked at Haile. "Sounds like a good deal."

Haile playfully pursed his lips. "What exactly do you want to know?"

“Everything.”, Griffin shot back. “And there’s no way we’re letting you out.”

Haile's eyes widened. "Give me a question, then."

Eli shook his head at Griffin. "Ruined the plan…" He whispered to Jace.

“How did the Circus start?”

Ana nodded. That's a good question to start off… Eli, however, disagreed. What?! No, we need more detailed and relevant information! He yelled in his head.

“Just trust me in this.”, Griffin growled.

"Started a long time ago. A group of talented children in the middle of terrible lives banded together and started this."

"Took a turn since then, huh?" Eli asked, joining Ana and leaning against the wall.

"A small one, yeah."

"Then why has it became so… horrible?" Lia asked.

Ana nodded after reading Lia's lips. "Yeah, what happened to this place?"

Haile paused. "Ièm not sure I can tell you that."

"You said you would answer all our questions." Eli crossed his arms again.

"It's not like it's a hard thing to answer." Jace added.
