So, I've noticed that I've hit a snag.
In my story, wraiths are souls that have been marked by Death, but are still tethered to Earth because of a strong mental or emotional. Over time, the soul becomes mindless and overcome with rage, grief, etc, and they turn into a wraith (think poltergeist, evil spirit type creature).

Pan can use his connection to Earth (some background: Pan is a nature god, and was born the moment to first plant life grew from the earth, the Auktross, along with numerous other brothers and sisters. Over many many years, his siblings left the Auktross and adapted themselves to other god pantheons [am I using that correctly?], and Pan was the last to leave. He used most of his magic at the time to protect the tree before he left, and so has a deep deep connection to earth) to sever the wraiths tethers and then takes the wraiths back to Neverland for two purposes that he accomplishes with the Neverfairy Tree: 1. He can cleanse the soul and they turn into Pan's Lost Boys. 2. He can the soul energy from the wraiths to use in the Pool of Tears (a liquid mass of pain and sadness tears from the fairies, fairy dust, Pan's magic, and soul energy from the wraiths), which is then used by Pan, while connected to the Fairy Tree (kind of like Neverland's 'heart'), to strengthen the magical barrier between Earth and Neverland and Limbo (fey lands).

But, I'm not sure how Pan should do these, how does he drain the wraiths, how does he turn them into Lost Boys.

okay so I have one question- in number two, what does he do?

  1. He can the soul energy from the wraiths to use in the Pool of Tears

Is the missing word use?
I assume yes, so that's what I'm going with,
maybe it's a potion/alchemy process, and the outcome depends on what he uses from the tree. I imagine like, leaves as the active ingredient leaves (ha ha. pun originally unintended but I like it so it stays) the wraith as a lost boy
but like, roots as the active ingredient puts the soul energy into the pool of tears
