I had an idea, one character, scraped everything.
I had another idea, 11 characters, scraped the original book idea but kept the basics of the characters.
Now this book.
Now I need to find something that will help me make a map for the setting. The book idea is, humans and mythical creatures have been living together for millenniums. One day, a small group of humans starts to go against the mythical creatures, going as far as violence but gets shut down almost immediately. Since that, lots of mythical creatures have started killing humans since lots of the government was controlled by mythical creatures like Grim Reapers and Ogres and other strong mythical creatures. Then, the main character (Zuri, human) shows up at the door of an orphanage of a very strong Grim Reaper who is against killing the humans and then the story officially starts.
I don't want to use a real place or a real continent, I want the world to be entirely fictional.
Any help?
(No, I'm not asking for someone to draw it, you really don't need to do that. I don't want you to do that lol. Just asking for some ideas and maybe a tool I can use. Thanks!)

In my experience, it's much easier to draw a map then you might think. Try googling pictures of maps that other people have drawn. This is the best way to get the map to look exactly how you want it to.
If you're determined to find a site that would help you make a map I'm sure you could google around for a little while.
Good luck and happy map making!

This sounds like a really cool idea!
As I was reading this, I had this image of perhaps the orphanage or other very central places for the mythical creatures (as I imagine they'd live in separated sections from each other, the creatures and the humans, if there's friction) being somewhere natural, like a forest or a park? Then they'd be apart from the humans and away from the conflict between them, because they're against the violence, and it would be a more peaceful place for the orphans?
One thing that I think would really be a cool idea to play with for this story would be designing different areas/factions/neighbourhoods that would be predominantly human or predominantly creature. And then perhaps the place where your orphanage is could be a rarity where there's more co-existence?
I don't know if this helps but good luck with the story! Sounds like a great concept! :)
