(ok) lucy enters the convenience store, a chime ringing through the vacant, fluorescently-lighted store. she walks through the isles of frozen food and chilled drink, which have become familiar to her. she selects a pint of ice cream, and strolls to the check-out. "dinner for one tonight," lucy mumbles. "what's your name?" she asks, speaking up to the girl at the cash register, smiling.

Lucy dropped one of the heavy books she'd been carrying when she bumped into someone. She instinctively apologized, before seeing Agnes. Lucy opened her eyes. "I'm sorry, I- are you alright?"

"Wait!" Lucy called. "…What's your name?" She asked gently, smiling. She was curious about the stranger's hard stare, drawn in.

Lucy didn't know, really. She felt her face go a bit hot. "I-" She tried to think of something to say. Her face was downturned in thought, her soft, dusty brown hair falling towards her face. She looked up, but didn't move her head. Lucy knew her eyes said a lot about her, which she kind of hated. She brought her posture back up, framing confidence. "Oh, I don't know." She held out her hand. "You don't have to say your name, but I am Lucy."

Lucy let her hand fall. Her eyes were calm even if something was spinning inside of her, turbulent with something unfamiliar. A bit of embarrassment, actually. "Well… maybe I'll see you in the audience?" She said, more of a question than a statement. She smiled, then remembered the books she'd dropped. Lucy picked them up then continued on her way to the service.

Lucy smiled again as the girl left and sighed. She caught herself, though, and scurried to the church. She didn't really like it either, nor was she heavily religious, but music often drew her in.
