He let Noel help him, but still looked very upset, he sighed rubbing his face as he got up. "I just..she used me to get away, if I had been more aware maybe I could made sure to not get grabbed by her shadows.." he tried to form somewhat of a response, he just wanted to capture Kali and now it was his fault that she escaped.

Meanwhile Evan made sure to catch her as soon as Kali passed out, not sure about what had happened he layed her back down on the Cott.

@Tired-but-passionate

Noel shook her head defeatedly. “I don’t want to hear any self-blame from you, Trent.”
After a few moments she let Charlie down, and she leaned on August, who confiscated the small book from her at Malachi’s request.
Alister was the first to enter the infirmary. He had to do a double take before he registered the other person’s presence in the room.
“Evan? Who…?”
Noel followed behind him and gasped. “She’s here!”
The rest of the group entered the room. “What?” Charlie exclaimed, nearly pulling away from August before she held her back. Malachi’s heart pounded. He rushed to the front of the group where the Storm siblings were, away from Malcolm and ignoring his pain flaring up.
They almost descended upon Evan and Kali, but Malachi held out his hand. “She’s unconscious. She’s not a danger now. Malcolm, can you help her? She’s the most injured of all of us.”
Malcolm slowly approached, giving Evan a reassuring look before placing his hand over Kali’s arm. As he healed her, Malachi spoke to Evan. “I think I forgot to tell you this earlier but… I think that might be your sister, mon jeune ami.”
Alister watched, suddenly feeling the urge to get closer to Evan. But he didn’t. It would be rude, wouldn’t it? This was probably important to him. The question of how the two of them ended up in completely different places wormed it’s way into his brain. Of course, perhaps it was a long, exhausting story, like the one of how he and Noel ended up separated.

Trent sighed, he didn't say anything in return but he was thinking it. but it was my fault… he rubbed his face with a sigh before moving to follow after them to the infirmary rubbing his neck slightly.
Evan tensed when they all started walking, she was defenseless, and she wasn't harming anybody.
She was also badly hurt..
Evan gave a soft look at Malcolm, letting him help her. "thank you."
He turned to Malachi nodding, "yeah, i-i know….we were able to get into lab files.." he muttered sighing but also watching as Malcolm helped kali nervously.
"i've..also..been having visions about her.." he muttered so only Malachi could hear.

@Tired-but-passionate

“Ah, I see,” Malachi murmured. Then his eyebrows roses up. “Visions?” His mind flashed back to the previous night, when Kali had told him about the things she saw as she endured her breakdown. He opened his mouth to reply when August spoke up.
“Malachi, we have to find a way to contain her now. How will we know if she’ll become aggressive again when she becomes conscious?” She held Charlie’s arm as Charlie nodded in agreement.
Malachi had to pause for a moment as another wave of rage washed over him. “Hold that thought,” he told Evan, then stood up and faced the two of them, his hands curling into fists.
“Give me the book,” he said. August handed him the small black book and he turned on Charlie.
“This is all because you read those stupid words in here,” he spat. “What were you thinking? Espèce d'idiot, those words acted as the trigger for her aggression, she wasn’t in control of her own actions. Don’t tell me this was from your days with those female soldiers.”
Charlie scowled. “It is. She looked like she came from the same place as I did, and I suspected she was a spy or something trying to bring me back, or worse. You can’t blame me for having my suspicions.”
“But you had no proof!” Malachi tried to keep his volume in control. “Your suspicions certainly don’t warrant such drastic actions.” He put a hand over his eyes, the pieces falling into place. “We met one of those soldiers on our journey. She spoke those same words that you read from the book, and that became the only time Kali ever tried to hurt me. She had this same book. And she was the one in control of her, telling her to hurt me. How did you get in possession of this book?”
Charlie seemed to be trying to keep her own anger in check. Her eye twitched as she said honestly, “I found it outside the prison. There was a note telling me that I had control now, and that if I saw someone who looked like her,” she gestured to Kali, “then I would know what to do. I believed it because I… I thought it was from someone I trusted. But I see now. I don’t have control. But…”

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

Evan rubbed his face, watching as Malachi went off on Charlie like the male boss he is I mean what.

Anyway he was listening into the conversation and something didn't make a single bit of sense to him.
He got up from the bed and walked over to where they were talking.
"you saw a book, that you have never seen before just sitting there on the ground with a note to the exact page number and it was signed with a name, and yet you still thought it was a good idea to use the book and just assumed it was someone you trusted?" He was gonna start glaring at charlie soon.
"what the heck were you thinking! What even made you think in the first place that it was a good idea? Why this of all things do you not share it with anyone and decide to act on your own faith? Can you not assume everything will be as you expect it to go and actually take a moment to think? She isn't just some toy for you to try things with and if you came from the same place as her you should know that!"
He was angry, he just wanted to meet his sister in peace, and he could have garentee that the interagation might have actually gone well if SOMEBODY hadn't screwed it up for everyone and got everyone hurt.
"she may have hurt everyone, but your the one who started it. You are the one who didn't stop to think that maybe it wasn't a good idea. It is your fault that everyone just got hurt and things ended up like this."
He was angry, and people could tell. He usually didn't get this angry, he was slow to anger but not today apparently. He couldn't get a break from people trying to scheme or people trying to do something for there own best interests.
"Did you maybe stop to think that you were doing it for yourself and not for the rebellion? Because this rebellion isnt for helping ourselves, it's for helping humanity and if you can't see that you need to rethink some things."
He winced slightly at the pain in his stomach, before moving to leave through the Crowd trusting Malachi to take care of kali as he needed some fresh air.

@Tired-but-passionate

Charlie’s eyes widened at Evan’s outburst; she was clearly not used to seeing him like this just as everyone else wasn’t. Her lips curled back as she bared her teeth at him.
“I’ve seen books like that before, I know how to handle them,” she growled. “THE NAME WAS OF SOMEONE WHO WAS MY FRIEND.”
She staggered back, a look grief briefly taking over her expression. “I assumed she had escaped like I had, and that she was trying to help me because it wasn’t safe to do so directly… we used those books so much I just didn’t question it…” then she growled again, “I couldn’t tell anybody because…” she turned to August, almost accusingly, yet apologetically at the same time. “I just felt like no one would listen to me. I know you’re always saying to just move on from that side of myself, August, but-“ she stopped at she pressed her hand to her head and groaning in pain. August took her by the shoulders, a vague look of fear flashing in her eyes.
“Kali threw her against the wall. She probably has a concussion.” August said, shaking her head.
Malcolm, who was already finished with healing Kali, walked over. He reached out his hand, but Charlie stopped him. “I’m not done. I just… I just wanted to use those things for good instead of evil.”
Malachi stood, dangerously silent, his veins pulsing beneath his neck. He finally said, “No good has come of this, Charlie. No good at all.”
She lowered her head, anger clouding her gaze, but she let Malcolm place his hand over the back of her head. Malachi turned and scooped Kali’s small body into his arms, ignoring the pain in his leg and side. Alister watched Evan wince in pain, worry and concern settling in the pit of his stomach. He shared a glance with Noel and followed Evan through the small crowd, just to make sure nothing happened to him. Yeah, that’s all it is, right?

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

Evan stalked his way down the halls and out through the entry way into the open area, inhaling fresh breath and then exhaling with a sigh as he looked around the outside area for somewhere to sit, he spotted a bench and decided to go over and sit down on it and lean back against it, he didn't know if anyone had followed him out but in that moment he didn't care, he just wanted to be away from all of that, and he could trust Malachi with her, he knew he could.
He let out another sigh, moving his hand away from his stomach and almost expected to find blood, though when he didn't he wasn't exactly surprised. What the heck happened back there? What was with people recently? He didn't know how to answer any of his questions, and as much as the fresh air was doing for him he wanted conversation, but he didn't tell anyone to come with him and he probably made it seem like he just wanted to be alone, and he thought he did. He just didn't think so anymore after it fizzed out. He didn't even mean to explode on her like that either. It just had been building up inside of him and he couldn't keep it in.
Kali just layed there in malachis arms, her head lulled to the side of his chest, leaning on him slightly while being passed out.

@Tired-but-passionate

Alister followed Evan outside, wanting to call to him but almost afraid to. If he was being honest though, he was glad he had followed him. He didn’t realize how much pressure had been building up inside him until he got away from all the shouting and anger in that room. It must have been to much, because as he watched Evan sit on the bench a few tears slipped from his eyes and down his cheeks. He quickly wiped them away and cautiously approached the other boy.
“Um, hey,” he murmured, sitting beside him. “Are you okay?”

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

He looked up as soon as he heard Alisters voice, he felt the vibrations in the ground, the thuds of his steps even if he had barely made any. He tried to work up a weak smile onto his face when he looked at him, but it just became sad as he looked away.
"Definitely seen better days.." he commented, moving to pat the seat next to him.
"You..?"

@Tired-but-passionate

He breathed a sigh. At first, he’d been rather anxious because of the possibility that Evan would still be angry and/or would desire time alone, but as he made room for Alister, that anxiety withered away, and he frowned with concern instead.
“Just a little rattled from the shouting,” he replied dismissively. “Um, can I do anything to help? Do you need a hug?”
He couldn’t help but stare at the way the soft breeze played with Evan’s hair and clothes, the way his lips moved as he spoke. He didn’t like it though, the way his thoughts were going. He shouldn’t be focused on such silly things when Evan wasn’t feeling his best. He turned to stare at his lap instead, tugging and fidgeting with the sleeves of his jacket.

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

"Ah yeah, I'm sorry if my yelling rattled you up or anything, I didn't mean it to do so. I just, for some reason have been a lot more angry recently then I usually am, though I suppose that's more so do to people's actions then myself." He sighed, looking around the area as he talked before looking back at his hands.
"A hug actually dosent sound too bad right now.." he muttered slightly, looking at Alister.

@Tired-but-passionate

“It wasn’t just you shouting, Evan.” He tilted his head, giving the other boy a sympathetic glance. “And I understand.”
He quivered under Evan’s gaze, still drawn to his gentle beauty. Alister reached out and pulled him into his embrace, holding him tight. After a mere moment of thought, he decided to admit his feelings.
“I… I feel like I should apologize too. I wanted to help you back there, say something maybe, but you’re….” He sighed. “You’re so beautiful. I’ve never seen you like that before and somehow— somehow you had me frozen and all I could do was stare. I hope… I hope you don’t mind.”

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

He welcomed Alisters embrace, pulling him into a close and warm hug wrapping his arms around Alister. He let out an exhale, relaxing slightly into the hug. He then soon found himself blushing as Alister talked to him about how.. beautiful he was? He wasn't used to someone complimenting him after he had just gotten extremely mad at someone else.
"Alister….it's okay. You didn't have to do anything to help me, and …I don't mind…I don't think anyone's really complimented me like this before." He let out a gentle chuckle.

@Tired-but-passionate

He laughed a little with him. “I can’t help it, I guess. Are you sure you don’t mind? I just… I really like you, but I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”
He silently questioned whether he should be saying anything he was saying right now. He wasn’t making things awkward right? Evan’s warmth seemed to increase as he blushed, and it made Alister a little worried. Unsure how else he should deal with it, he buried his face in Evan’s shoulder.

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

"I really, really don't mind Alister." He blushed more when Alister burried his face into his shoulder, and he just gently strokes Alisters head, softly petting it and massaging it.
"I don't think you could ever make me uncomfortable Alister….I…like you too..but that's to be expected, we're soulmates after all." He tries to slip in a small joke though he meant what he said before the joke he was just trying to keep it light hearted.

@Tired-but-passionate

Alister felt himself blush as well at the other’s touch, sort of liking Evan’s fingers stroking his fluffy head.
“Really?” His voice was muffled against Evan’s shoulder. “Okay… that makes me feel better.” He chuckled softly at the joke, but nothing more. “I mean, yeah… a part of me is still nervous though.”

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

"I think a part of me Is always gonna be nervous." He chuckled softly as well, continuing to stroke his head gently as he spoke to Alister, looking up at the sky with a gentle Hum.
"I wonder what's going on back with everyone else."

@Tired-but-passionate

Malcom had told everyone to calm down and pick a bed to lay in. Several of them still needed medical attention, and they needed to recover before they could decide what to do about the situation. Malachi immediately volunteered to watch Kali, to everyone’s disgruntlement. Malcom would walk around, assessing the injuries of those who needed his attention, while those who didn’t (Trent, Noel, and August) crowded around Malachi and Kali, desperate for explanations.
“Malachi, what exactly does the book do? How did it make—“ Noel hovered over him, but he cut her off.
“Not now, Noel. I’ll explain, I promise, but this is a lot, okay?” His gaze drifted to where Charlie lay.
“Sorry.” She looked down, a bit crestfallen.
“We’re glad you’re back at least,” August offered. “In one piece, sort of.”
He cracked a grin, turning his gaze to her. “Yeah. It is good to see you again…” the grin fell. “I just wish it was in better circumstances.”

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

Kali stirred In Malachi's arms, groaning slightly as she rolled around but ended up rolling closer into Malachi. She moved a hand up to rubbing her eyes and let out a soft yawn, how could something so small and innocent looking have caused so much damage? Well, innocent looking in her small moment of weakness where she hadn't put up any barriers yet.
She looked up and saw Malachi, "…what…what did I do..?" She asked him, staring him down tho her gaze wavered between anger and sadness. She didn't seem to notice the crowd, or maybe she just ignored them.

"I wonder what's going on back with everyone else."

He could honestly fall asleep like this if not for his pounding heart. Every time Evan touched him it was like his skin lit up with excitement.
“Dunno. I hope everything’s calmed down.” He reached his hand up to feel Evan’s side. “How are you holding up? Is it hurting?”

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

He felt himself blush slightly as Alister went to hold a hand up to Evans side and he moved to look away from him if only to hide the fact that his pale face was pink.
"o-oh uh…it dosent really hurt much anymore…I just had to take in a feel breath during my anger at Charlie, and I think I stretched out badly during my stress. But I'm good now."

@Tired-but-passionate

He startled. Letting out a breath, he couldn’t help but smile as she snuggled closer. The others were surprised too, jolting back. Malachi gestured for them to leave them alone, and they walked to discuss by themselves.
He leaned down and held her tight, then let go to see her face. She was so small and cute, he didn’t want to say anything that might break her. But at her question he grimaced and sighed.
“You did… a lot,” he murmured. “But I think it’s okay now. At least, it will be. I’m glad you’re awake. You… you didn’t see anything, did you?”

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

She moved to cover her hands with her face, wincing at her injury from earlier and just letting out a groan and shoving her face in his chest. man boobs
"how is it okay? Malachi how many people did I hurt?" She sighed rubbing her face with the hand that didn't hurt.
"Well I am not," she muttered to the awake comment, "What do you mean see anything Malachi? I haven't been in control of my body I don't think I saw anything." She muttered muffled from her face inside his chest.

@Tired-but-passionate

(help)
Well he certainly did not expect his general chest area to be invaded by Kali’s face. After getting over his initial shock and immediate flush, he said, looking around, “Um… two… three, four people? Including me? But I’m fine now, and one other person is also fine.”
Then he stuttered, “O—oh, sorry. Um, it just looked like you were… like you were having another one of your breakdowns before, um. Before you weren’t yourself. I don’t know.”
Why does he like it? Why does her snuggling into him feel so good? This girl tried to kill him. Malachi could not understand himself.
