how about monday at 9:30?

It had been a while since Damien had gone on anything even resembling a date and he found himself rather giddy at the thought. Even if this wasn’t really a date. He sorta wanted it to be a date. Anyways, he wanted to look nice regardless, so he started planning what to wear on Monday. The only time Urian had ever seen him, he’d been wearing almost nothing at all, now he wanted a different impression. Guess it was time to go through his closet.

I can do monday. See you then He knew he had to plan this out perfectly, he wanted to come off a little flirtatiously, but not too much so. He opened his closet. Mostly sweaters and cargo pants. God, he couldn't wear this. He looked in his drawers and found a super wrinkled pair of grey slacks. Score he thought, then he found his two only dress shirts, a maroon button down and a creme one… the creme seemed like the best choice. Red seems like it comes off too much as romantic. And of course, he took out a brown sweater vest. "Hey Eric!" he called from his room "Can you iron these before you head to class tomorrow, I gotta get to class soon" he heard Eric roll off the sofa with a thump on the ground "Ugh fine. But you have to agree to go straight to class on monday. I'm having someone over and you can't ruin it for me" Ew Uri thought " Thanks, won't plan on it." THis was going to be the best not-date ever.

(Timeskip to Monday…)

Damien tugged at his sweater nervously as he waited outside the cafe. He had gone with a pair of khakis, a white button-down, and an oversized baby-blue cardigan–oh, and his usual black hightops. Hopefully, Urian would like it. Not that that mattered. It wasn't like this was a date. He was Urian's research subject, nothing more. Disappointing, but that was the way of things, especially for Damien.
Currently, he was sitting at a table outside the cafe watching his phone while he waited for Urian. He had been going to get a drink but thought he could offer to get the other man's, too, when he arrived. Maybe then he could pretend it was a date and he wasn't horribly alone.

Urian left class ceeling elated, he had his not-quite-date with Damien today and he had gotten readied up. He wore the clothes that Eric had Ironed him and he cleaned up his glasses, along with putting on his only pair of clean tennis shoes. White. The day before, Urian had shaved so that there wasn't to much unshapely stubble on his face, though he did leave a 5 o'clock shadow, so he looked decently presentable. As he drove to the cafe, he smiled into his rear view mirror, making sure he had nothing in his teeth. Once ha arrived at the cafe and got out of his car, he saw Damien waiting outside for him. "I hope you didn't wait long" he called, with a grin " I'd feel guilty if you did"

@Skylark

Damien looked up with a smile. "No, not long," he said, standing up to greet Urian. "Maybe ten minutes. Want to head in and get drinks?" Ok, so far so good. Sure, it had only been a couple of minutes, but he hadn't fucked up yet, so he'd take what he could get. Urian actually looked really nice. Well, Damien already found him attractive, but now he looked well-dressed and more comfortable. It was a good look on him and Damien couldn't help the pang of disappointment when he reminded himself that this wasn't a date.

He narrowed his eyes slightly, and laughed "Well, I already took out my wallet, and I wouldn't want to inconvenience you anymore, since you're the participant you know?" He chuckled awkwardly " So, what did you want? Really"

@Skylark

Damien hummed, studying Urian and the menu in turn. "An iced raspberry latte, then," he said, internally resolving to reciprocate somehow. Date or no, he really wanted a good impression.

Urian smiled victoriously at Damien, and approached the barista " Hi, can I have one iced raspberry latte and a mocha matcha latte" he asked. He then payed for the drinks and headed back, smiling at Damien " They should be calling us in a few minutes, let's look for a place to sit."

@Skylark

Damien rolled his eyes fondly, honestly somewhat pleased that Urian was buying his drink. It just… felt nice, to have someone do something for him. Even if it was a sort of payment for his time.
"Sounds good," Damien said as he moved towards the seating area. "Do you prefer a window or no?"

@The-Dyonisia group

He nodded and smiled" I usually go for window" He paused " It'll be better for me to see your face" he smiled wider, his dimples deepening. He wanted it to seem a little flirty, while still keeping it a little professional, so as to not make Damien uncomfortable…

@Skylark

Damien tried and failed to bite back a smile, a very faint blush crossing his cheeks. "Sounds good, I'll go grab a table," he said, hurriedly moving to find a suitable spot. What was the matter with him? He could dance half-naked for strangers every weekend, but a few words and a smile on a not-date had him flustered? Ridiculous, but he didn't hate it.

As they sat down, Uri looked at Damien's face. He looked so cute, strangely, he seemed entirely different from the person he met at the club, but he didn't really mind. It was a good change. " Well, first on the list," He said, taking out his laptop, "I have to see how your general mood is at the moment" He touched Damien's hand a bit… " How are you?" … Maybe that was a little too flirty. He took his hand off immediately, blushing as he looked down.
