@PrettyLittlePyro

She opened her apartment door to hundreds of roses. She knew they were from him; he had found her at last.
They used to be friends. Best friends. That all changed when he went to go join them. And so she had to run. She thought she was safe… she wasn't. He had found her again.

Tyler stumbled through the rain, his hood pulled low over his face. He glanced around, his dark eyes observant. Two-one-three, he reminded himself. She was near, he could feel it. He glanced at the roses in his hand, a slight smirk on his handsome face. There was darkness in it, though, and a hardness that made people stay clear of him. He had changed in the seven years since he'd last been here, which wasn't a good thing.
He went into the apartment building, and up to her door. He placed the roses by the door and left, the only indication he had been there the roses and the dark stain on the carpet where he had stood.

Kenzie stretched, standing up from her nest of blankets on her couch and getting a glass of water from her sink. The apartment building was finally quiet, but for once Kenzie wasn't tired. She checked her watch, satisfied with the numbers. It was late, late enough that the coffee shop would be empty and she'd have time to talk with her friends that worked there. She took a moment, selecting a loose sweater and grabbing her small backpack. She grabbed a raincoat as a last minute thought, along with her car keys and phone. She opened the door and stepped out, locking it behind her. She took another step and froze at the sound of breaking stems. She looked down, her eyes wide and terrified. It's not possible… She crouched, reaching out a shaking hand to touch the thorn on the stem, adrenaline starting to course through her veins, even while fear held her paralyzed.

Tyler rubbed his eyes, watching her through narrow eyes. He knew that she wouldn't recognize him. He watched as a terror-filled look appeared on her face, and frowned.

She lifted the roses gently, unsure of what to do with them. How did he find me… She turned, unlocking the door and ducking inside swiftly. She locked it behind her, the key clicking panicky in the lock.

@PrettyLittlePyro

There. It's done, he thought. Now she knew. And soon, he would come for her.
Actually, that made him sound like a creep and a stalker. No, he would see if he could meet up with her. That sounded better.

Kenzie slowly sat down, holding the roses in both hands. She was shaking, but couldn't place her fear. You're being unreasonable…. He isn't so bad. Besides, maybe it wasn't him. She finally pulled herself together, standing and walking to the small counter. She couldn't bring herself to throw them away, but she didn't want to look at them either. So she left them there, laying droopily on the marble countertop.

Tyler sighed. He knew that she would be freaked. He didn't regret what he had done, though. He never would. Some of the best things had happened while he had worked with them.

It's going to be fine. You have to calm down. She ran her hands through her hair, untangling it and pulling it over her shoulders. She sat down on the edge of her couch, flashbacks to Tyler running through her mind. The years they'd spent together, all gone because of his own ambition. She'd never understood, never would.
