She laughed lightly and rolled her eyes, "Thanks again Rhydar." She replied, leaning against her door with a smile. Jynna's turquoise eyes watched him for a moment and she held the scrap of paper with her number on it close to herself, wondering why she had assumed he was single, or even interested in her.

He gave her a two finger salute and headed down the street, dragging Will along with him. He followed the girl's directions and headed towards the house they led to, huffing and puffing from the added weight. "I'm am so not cut out for this," he grumbled to himself.

Eventually, he made it to the house. He had forgotten where the keys were. "Eh, screw it." He dumped Will on his porch and jogged back to his own house, already wincing as he anticipated the tongue-lashing he would receive from his younger brother. "Ooooh, I am so dead."

@gracehustle

Once he had left she turned and headed back inside, letting out a small breath and locking the door behind herself. "That was…interesting," She said quietly, dropping the scrap of paper in the trash before heading to her room and flopping down on the bed. With Will's promise that he'd be back and wouldn't be as nice next time and Rhydar the quite attractive mystery boy, she had a lot to think about and so she did just that. Thinking about what had happened.

Rhydar couldn't delay it any longer. So, he came up with a master plan to get his brother off his back without actually revealing what he'd done tonight.
He got home and swung open the door, still bracing himself when he saw Magnus. While he was the youngest of the two, it was hard to tell. While Rhydar was skinny and always finding some sort of mischief, Magnus was heavier set with muscle, and was constantly looking over his brother's shoulder and bailing him out of whatever trouble Rhydar found himself in. His dark green eyes narrowed as he leaned on the kitchen island, arms crossed over his broad chest. "Well?" was all he said.
"I went out on a nightly walk and happened by some guy harassing this poor girl, grabbing her and all that jazz, and he was threatening her with this spray paint, so I just jumped in and came to her rescue. Dude got off lots of solid hits, including the spray paint, and I barely managed to win the scuffle with my life intact. So, really, you should be looking at me like a hero and not some idiot just rambling off this ridiculous story to save his ass." He took a breath, smiling at Magnus.
The younger brother pinched the bridge of his nose. "Just go."
"Yes!" Rhydar hopped up the stairs two at a time, eagerly throwing himself on his bed and closing his eyes.

Eventually her eyes drifted shut and she fell asleep, tossing and turning all night. When her alarm went off early the next morning she sighed, knowing that not even on the weekends she could sleep in because of her job. She hit snooze on the alarm and got a few more minutes of sleep in before sitting up and getting ready for the day.

Magnus chucked a pillow at Rhydar's sleeping form–still on top of the covers and fully dressed, as he had passed out instantly. Rhydar groaned and threw it back blindly.
"Up," the younger brother instructed, throwing the pillow back at Rhydar's head. "We're going out today."
"Mmmmmmlskdfjldsk!!" In other words, that was a big fat NO.
Magnus sighed and called Lucky, their Boxer dog. Rhydar instantly shot out of bed. "I'm up!" But it was too late. She burst through the door at full speed and launched herself on Rhydar's bed–and Rhydar. He fell back with a shout, assaulted with a giant, slobbery tongue.

Jynna yawned and rolled off of her bed uncerimoneously, stumbling to the bathroom and getting ready for work as fast as she could, which meant a freezing cold shower. Working at a diner did have its perks, she got a free meal every so often if the cooks messed up on the order but it did mean she had to come in quite early on the weekends or any day she worked. Pulling her still wet hair up into a high ponytail and throwing on her uniform, she grabbed her phone and money and shoved it in her pocket as she headed to the door.

@ElderGod-kirky group

After receiving a slobber bath courtesy of Lucky, Rhydar got an actual shower and changed into a green tank top and jeans, exchanging some of his earrings and rings for different ones. Magnus had declared that they go out to a diner for breakfast, and Rhydar wasn't one to argue against food. When they were both ready to go, they hopped in Magnus's truck. Rhydar whistled for Lucky and the tan fur-baby jumped into the bed of the truck, large tongue dangling out the side of her mouth. And then they were off to the diner.

@gracehustle

She headed out to her car with her keys in hand, immediately heading to the diner. Her music was still blasting from the last time she drove and Jynna was grateful for it, nodding her head to the beat until she turned off the music in the diners parking lot. Getting out of the car she headed inside, punching in only a minute or two before her shift was supposed to start.

@ElderGod-kirky group

They stopped on the side of the road for a brief pit stop for Lucky, and because the diner probably wasn't even open yet. The dog sniffed around the grass, looking for a place to do her business. Rhydar scrolled through his social media, ignoring all the texts he got from random girls at school. Boring, boring, boring, boring. "Ooo. My masterpiece!" Someone had posted a picture of his graffiti all over one of the halls of his school, speculating who it could've been. Of course, Rhydar was one of them, along with the other school 'bad boys' and troublemakers.
Soon, they were back on the road, and Magnus pulled into the diner parking lot. Rhydar hopped out before the truck was even stopped, heading to the back to let Lucky out and put her on a harness. "C'mere, girl!" He called for her, and she pressed her body against his legs eagerly as he attached the leash to the harness. Then they all entered the diner. Lucky was wiggling her butt viciously as she dragged Rhydar behind her, as happy as a dog could be. "Yes, yes. Show off your kidney bean dance. Get it out of your system," Rhydar said.

@gracehustle

The cooks were already there and she opened the diner, grabbing a notepad and getting ready to take the first orders of the day. She took her place just inside the kitchen and was shocked to see Rhydar coming through the door with a dog and another guy. "First customers," she called back to the cooks, calming herself as she got ready to go out and take their orders. Her notepad was tucked inside the back pocket of her skinny jeans and her pencil was placed behind her ear.

@ElderGod-kirky group

Rhydar crouched down to pet the excited and very wiggly dog, cooing and fawning over her with a bright smile. Magnus called out to the cooks, "Are dogs allowed in here?"
Rhydar snorted. "Always the goody two shoes." He smooshed Lucky's face and playfully rubbed it. "Huh? He's such a good boy. But not as good as you! Nah uh! No he's not! You the goodest! Yes you are!"
Magnus rolled his eyes at how childish his older brother was being.

@gracehustle

"Leashed and well behaved?" The cook shouted back, poking a head out of the kitchen and forcing Jynna out so she could take their order once they sat down.
The diner was decently sized and quite homey, with small two person tables by the windows and bigger tables in the rest of the space. There was a pair of swinging doors seperation get the kitchen and the dining area and that was where Jynna appeared from, forcing a small smile on her face.

@ElderGod-kirky group

"Leashed, yes." Rhydar answered for Magnus, hugging the wiggling Boxer to his chest from where he was crouched. "Well behaved? In a few minutes." He hadn't noticed Jynna yet, but Magnus had. He returned her smile with a friendly one of his own as he slid into a chair.

@gracehustle

(Sry it's short)
"And what can I get for you two today?" She asked over the shout of the cook saying the dog could stay. Jynna pulled out her notepad and got ready for their order, the menus sitting on their table already.

@ElderGod-kirky group

Rhydar looked up to order pancakes but stopped with his mouth open. Huh. And so we meet again. His eyes gleamed with recognition as he smirked slightly up at her. "I'll have some chocolate chip pancakes if that's available." He turned to his brother. "What're you having, Mags?"
"Blueberry waffles." He said. "Extra syrup."

@gracehustle

She nodded and a small smile appeared on her face, "Alright then, anything else I can get you?" Tearing off the order from the rest of the notepad, she tucked the pencil behind her ear and slipped the pad into her back pocket, trying to act like she didn't recognise Rhydar.

@ElderGod-kirky group

"Nope, we're good," Rhydar said while looking at Jynna. He looked back down at the only slightly squirmy dog and changed his mind. "Actually, could you whip up something for Lucky here? She's not too picky, just no toppings like syrup or somethin'."

@gracehustle

Again she nodded, "We can do that, anything to drink for you two? Otherwise I can go get the order started right away." She looked down at the dog and smiled, hoping she didn't seem as happy as she felt to see Rhydar again.

@ElderGod-kirky group

"Some milk would be fine," Magnus said. Rhydar stood when Lucky finally calmed enough, leading her over to the table that his brother was at and looping the leash around his wrist a few times. Lucky laid down next to the table obediently, resting her head on the floor and looking up at Jynna while the little nub that was her tail darted back and forth.

@gracehustle

"Sounds good, I'll have your order right out." She smiled brightly at the dog and glanced at the two of them before heading to the kitchen and dipping inside. Jynna shouted out their order to he cooks and got the milk, bringing it back out to Rhydar's brother.

@ElderGod-kirky group

Magnus smiled kindly. "Thank you." Rhydar was, once again, scrolling through social media. He glanced up at Jynna when she gave Magnus the milk, then went back to his phone and texted one of his friends. Yo, there's a pretty girl at this cafe that I happened to meet last night.

@gracehustle

Once she had given him his milk she went off to take the orders of the other customers that were trickling in, most of them regulars that came daily so she knew what they ordered. Jynna started talking to some of the customers and soon the place was buzzing with small but happy conversations between friends with Jynna buzzing around and taking orders.

@ElderGod-kirky group

Rhydar slouched over the table, talking to his brother and people watching. His eyes often drifted towards Jynna, then he quickly found something else to look at to avoid being caught staring. He also kept an eye out for that vengeful ex he had knocked out. He didn't seem like someone to give up that easily if his threat was anything to go by.

@gracehustle

"Order up!" Came a shout from the kitchen and she smiled, the orders were finally bring filled.
Jynna grabbed the plates and balanced them in her arms, knowing that they were Rhydar's and the guy who was with him. "Here you two go, and there's the food for your dog." She said, setting their food down in front of them with the same smile as earlier, "Just give a shout if you need anything else or are ready for the bill."
