(Okay, thanks!)
"Tomorrow?" Peter asked, arching his eyebrows. "Thanks for the heads up…"
"Well, I let our superiors know. And you know when the actual wedding is," John spoke. He peeled off his gloves and took a turn into his tent, inviting his friend in. "You'll be taking care of my duties while I'm gone. Mostly regarding prisoners," he spoke. "But it's alright if you leave that to another. As long as they get something out of the rebels,"
Peter stepped into the tent. "Alright. I think I can handle that. You'll be heading out tonight then? Arrive for your lady early tomorrow morning?"
"Preferrably," he smiled, glancing at his packed things. "Maybe late tonight, actually,"
Peter nodded thoughtfully. "Aren't you packed?"
"Yes," he replied, scratching his chin, "But I like leaving knowing everything's in order," he looked back to his friend.
(Do you want to timeskip soon?)
I can)
Edonine had crawled in bed with Pierre when evening fell, and woke up first in rhe morning, curled up in a tight ball against him.
Pierre’s arms had loosened around her in his sleep, but he still held her as he slumbered on.
She lifted her face further up the pillow. Just to stare at his languid, sleeping facr, unadultered from the wears of war.
He looked peaceful in sleep, his constant worry lines smoothed out by the much-welcomed rest. But this was not what he'd looked like when he'd been awoken by a nightmare just hours before, eyes wide, heart beating out a frantic rhythm.

Edonine reached a hand to stroke his face.

Yep)
(So, like, when he's arriving home?)
(kk, see you soon)
Pierre's eyes fluttered open, slowly coming into focus and taking in his surroundings. The first thing he registered was Edonine in his arms. The second was that they were not dying on a battlefield.

Lunch! Saved by the bell!)
"Goodmorning," she whispered quietly. Now that she was well rested, Edonine looked a lot less dead inside. A little bit of her former self.

(eyy)
"Good– Good morning," he mumbled sleepily, rubbing his eyes and taking her face into his hands. "Did you sleep okay? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine…" she smiled a little, at being coddled and worried over.
John knocked on his door, shivering, but filled with bursting excitement for Jane to open the door.
"Coming!" Jane called, not yet knowing it was John. She set down her teacup and went to the door to open it. The face of her dashing fiance surprised her. "John!" she cried happily, leaping into his arms. She didn't have a care for the blowing snow.

He searched her face for a second more. "Good." Pulling her lightly against his chest, he pressed a kiss to her cheek.

"Ohh, my love!" He gasped, throwing his arms around her and sweeping her off her feet, twirling her around in the air. As he brought her back down, he pecked incessant kisses all over her sweet face.

Edonine snuck a hand to rest over his heart. "Did you sleep well?" She asked softly.

She smiled happily, savoring his every touch. When he stopped spinning her, she spoke through his kisses. "This isn't a dream? It's really you?"
Hesitation flickered beneath his expression, before he shook his head.

"Yes," John laughed, feeling light with joy. "Yes, Jane, I'm here. Help me bring my stuff in," he asked eagerly, "What time is it? —I skipped dinner to come home, I'm starving," André spoke quickly with excitement.
Hesitation flickered beneath his expression, before he shook his head.
Edonine looked down and sideways. "Anything I can do..?"
"Of course, I will fix you something to eat in just a moment. Let's hurry and get your things," she said excitedly.
John scooped up what he could, and dropped them in the foyer. "Oh, I missed home. I missed you," he spoke warmly, pulling off his gloves and snow-soaked boots.
Jane stumbled in, carrying the rest. She helped him take off his coat. "I missed you more," she teased. "I was so worried for you."
