(Okay! I'm going to bed but may I take the characters of Victor Frankenstein and the Creature (Frankenstein)?)

@croccin-champagne

Name:
Dolores "Lo" Haze

Age:
21

Gender/Pronouns:
Female, she/her

Orientation:
Panromantic
Demi or Ace, likely due to her past experiences.

Appearance:
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/667588344755422528/. With slight differences.

Hair cut/color:
Natural light blonde hair, sporting light waves and falling to about the bottoms of her shoulder blades.

Eye color/shape:
A bit rounder than almond. They're a pretty blue that's somewhere between ocean and crystal.

Skintone:
Lightly tanned, has a light smattering of freckles on her nose and cheeks that she hides with makeup.

Height:
5'5, but her shoes often have soles that lift her to 5'6.

Build:
Very fit, with slender curves and a bit more in the chest area. Doesn't have much definition anywhere but possibly her legs, as she runs often.

Scars/Identifying marks:
Not very many, as she hasn't done much to get them. Has c-section scars from a miscarriage during childbirth, as her baby wasn't in the right place to remove naturally. Has a small scar on her jaw, too, from 'falling' and busting it on something.

Personality:
At first comes off as the classic sweet, but ditzy blonde. Once you get to know her though, she's surprisingly smart, and could talk circles around literally anyone, if she wasn't scared to. Has been told all her life that she gets everything because she looks good, and is terrified that if she loses those looks, suddenly everything will fall apart. Really needs therapy. Is horribly self conscious because on the flip side, people also tell her she's not actually good looking and is just pitied because she's not. She's incredibly sweet, and even if she gets teared up at the sight of kids literally every time, loves them. And the affection is returned. She's extremely passionate about fighting against the normalization of toxic age gaps, especially if they're between a child and adult.

Skills:
Great at causing distractions, be it by blowing something up, or by just looking good. Very good at gathering intel, as people tend to talk around her. They think she's all looks and no brains, and have no clue that she's always paying attention. In fact, has an eidetic memory specific mostly to things she hears or witnesses. Isn't as good with reading because she's dyslexic. Has a decent knowledge of poisons and antidotes due to her love of gardening. Run fast. Good at math? The power of Gun.

I know it's a lot but it's really just a lot more words than necessary to list things.

Hobbies:
She adores gardening with all her heart, and can raise some of the best showplants you've ever seen. Would be a reader, but she has issues reading–undiagnosed dyslexia–so she listens to audio books instead. Got into cooking when she was pregnant, because she kept craving things not made or served near her, and now has extensive culinary knowledge. And is just a really good cook. Going for runs as a de-stressor, and to work off the calories she consumes.

Backstory:
When she was twelve, her mother offered boarding to a man. He eventually became her step-father, but through out his marriage to her mother had a strange obsession with her. As she was a child, she was easily convinced that that was…normal. Eventually, her mother found out, and while writing a text to her friends about it while driving, she was hit by another car and died in the accident.

Lo, who was at a private school at the time, was suddenly picked up by her step-father, who told her her mother was in the hospital and ill, and that she wanted them to travel together and enjoy life.

He pushed, very hard, for a sexual relationship with Lo, who didn't know better than to say yes. He was a man she trusted, and he had spent quite a bit of time and effort convincing her that it was perfectly fine and normal.

Eventually, a family friend that she had a slight crush on caught up to them, while she was on the hospital sick. He convinced her to come with him instead, and she did, again falling for the sweet words of another man who shouldn't have been interested in her at all. Her step-father was angry, and did his best to hunt them down, but could never find them. Unfortunately, she fell in love with the family friend, but was rejected after she was unable to do anything sexual due to the manipulation and abuse she had suffered from her step-father.

After a lifetime spent being ridiculed and judged, as well as used, for her looks, she finally met someone her age who didn't care or intend to do anything but love her. They got engaged, and she ended up pregnant, happy with where her life had finally ended up, after the past seven years of hell.

And then her fiance died in an accident, while working in the garage he ran. Overtaken by grief and stress, she went into early labor, and lost the baby in the process, while almost losing her own life.

With nothing left to do, she moved in with a different family friend, a nice old woman who was actually head of a criminal organization. The trade off for room and board was simple. She just had to do a couple odd jobs here and there. She eventually became a highly valued asset, and Mrs. Velander has been her employer ever since, and the only one to ever look at her as a person before looking at her as a fantasy. Minus, of course, her late fiance and a small handful of friends who are generally very gay or in relationships.

Other:
Really wants a cat.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(aw I love her and want to hug her :( I think she might actually get along with Alek and Sherlock really well, since Sherlock will have zero (0) interest in her sexually (and they both have wanting a cat in common!) and Alek is…well, they have some shared trauma, though his didn't go on as long as hers. Altho Alek is also kind of certifiably insane, so uh)

@croccin-champagne

((oh she'll definitely love sherlock then, they can just…joint custody of stray cats. also they're both big brain so. and dkjdfjfdj rip @ alek but also fair))

@ElderGod-Icefire

(YES. And like Sherlock is just. completely unfazed by her looks and everything. Like she could strip in front of them and they'd be like "…please put your clothes back on". And to be fair to Alek, he is a retelling of Hamlet so uh)

@croccin-champagne

((that tiktok 'walking in on your significant other in just a towel' trend except it's lo, asking who the heck turned on whatever machine steals the hot water. nobody looks up from what they're doing. someone does once just to answer her. she's goes back to shower in cold water while swearing. thats it, no punchline. hhdsj yeah that's fair. dude needs therapy hardcore but also might be a little too gone))

@ElderGod-Icefire

(calling it right now, it's Sherlock that looks up, studies her for a moment, then replies, unfazed, "sorry I needed it for an experiment. I didn't know you were showering". dhgjh he had therapy, it just…didn't really help lmao)

@croccin-champagne

((oh she's going to love being able to just get out of the shower and just…walk to her room in a towel. that's the kind of vibe she's always wanted. also oof))

Name: Victor Frankenstein

Age: 51

Gender/Pronouns: Trans man, he/him

Orientation: Aromantic, homosexual.

Appearance: About average height, with greying dark brown hair and pale blue eyes, not physically fit and honestly very underweight. His face is littered with freckles and he has a light tan.

Personality: Victor is brilliant, but broken, he used to shine like a star but now you can barely see the light from him. He's very scientifically minded, and doesn't seem to understand that his actions have consequences. He's very self-centered, and stubborn, and arrogant, but he isn't an entirely terrible person, just morally complex. He's a bit bold and prone to outburst, but can also fall into incredibly low periods at the slightest questioning of his knowledge.

Skills: He's like one of those scientists in media who was written by people who thought "scientist" was a catch-all profession. He knows. All the science. Not very good with fighting though, but he can think circles around almost anyone.

Hobbies: Tormenting himself for letting his brother, sister and his queerplatonic lover die.

Backstory: Frankenstein grew up as a privileged asshole. There, I said it. He lived in a mansion on a terraformed Mars, a beautiful place to live and to grow up in, lush plants all around tinted red by the soil, and amazing lakes that spanned incredibly far. His brother and adopted sister were his best friends, as well as the child of one of the servants, Justine. Justine later grew up and became the housekeeper, but Victor always had thought of her as a second sister. He grew up to be an intelligent, scientifically minded genius and Elizabeth grew up as a poetic soul, inspired by the nature around her. Henry later went to study at one of the best universities on Mars. The thirst for knowledge soon spiraled out of control, however, he wanted to create a living being. Obviously the best way to do this is assemble a corpse made of corpses. Corpse… squared? I don't know math. Anyways, Victor learned to reanimate dead lifeforms with the handy help of tech, and through wires and skin created… a LAD. Surprisingly, the creature was beautiful, if not really viscerally disturbing, with long, flowing dark hair and well defined muscles (for a LITERAL CORPSE SQUARED), but their eyes were horrifying. Victor ran out into the night, leaving, and I quote (spot the reference here-) what was basically a GIANT NEWBORN BABY, VICTOR, out to figure out their own shit. And it ended up figuring out how to leave, or Victor just left the door open, because when Victor returned to his apartment, he found it empty. He celebrated by passing out for unexplained reasons. Maybe his delicate constitution? His friend and childhood (queerplatonic) sweetheart, Henry Clerval, found him two days later and nursed the man back to health. Victor decided he was done with college and wanted to settle down with the people he loved, or at least tolerated more than most. However (take a shot every time I say-), Victor still wanted to know what had become of his Monster. The next thing that happens is a homicide. His brother was killed late one night out on the streets of Mars, and all his fine jewelry had been stolen. It later turned up in Justine's room, but she had nothing to do with it, she swears (she's not lying? Dudes?). Victor later sees the Monster, skulking in the shadows of an alleyway holding his brother's favorite necklace and puts two and two together. He decides to run, more scared than angry, and returns home in tears. He refuses to confess what he knows, for fear of looking insane. Eventually, he and his best friend Henry work out their shit in the non-romantic subplot of my dreams and they end up deciding to marry! Good for you guys. The Monster later shows up and demands Victor create them a partner as well, for they are a lonely creature and may cause less harm if motivated by love by somebody like them, who would understand. Victor is initially cautious but agrees. He ends up in a conflict of interests and destroys the unfinished monster, vowing to never again abuse science this way. The Monster is outraged, and swears that he will be with Henry on his wedding night. Victor takes this as a harm-to-himself threat despite ALL EVIDENCE POINTING OTHERWISE, VICTOR. The sad tale concludes with Elizabeth, as Henry's bridesmaid, and Henry himself getting brutally murdered as the vows were being said. Victor chases the monster down and ends up nearly freezing to death in the winter snow only to be found by Mar's famous General Robert Walton, who won them the Solar war years ago and nursed back to health two, electric boogaloo. He relays the story to the General, and it gets published as fiction under different names to protect Victor and to put out the cautionary tale into the world. The Monster and Victor later found each other, and being all the other had left, decided to stay together.

Other: sorry that was a big chonk of words, anyways its up to you guys to decide how much of an asshole Victor is or is not. He's been severely weakened since nearly freezing to death, and he isn't getting any younger. He's also not in a good mental state, for obvious reasons. Also, he has some form of chronic pain, I’m going with sickle cell anemia since it has side affects most similar to his situation.

Name: The Monster, or Eden.

Age: Because of being built from various corpses, as well as having a surprising intelligence/maturity rate, I'd say probably like, basically early 20's? Its how long Eden's been around at any rate.

Gender/Pronouns: no. They/them

Orientation: Bisexual/romantic

Appearance: Tall, eight feet tall to be exact, and muscular, with dark hair and eyes that reach into your soul and cut it out. They have many scars from their years of living on the streets, and scars from being stitched together from various body parts. They are pale, with yellow-greenish skin that was once rosy, and a long, sharp nose and sharp white teeth.

Personality: Very torn, a bit of a tortured soul and very remorseful but ultimately doesn't seem to register other's feelings very well beyond pain and suffering, because based on their own experiences they just… don't know about positive emotions I guess? They're very literal and serious, but strangely poetic. You don't know really why they did that terrible thing but you hardly blame them for it, kind of a deal.

Skills: Revenge (Eden nO). They're very skilled with most weaponry and has a crazily good reaction time that is very useful in evading the fire of weapons, among other things. They are also highly skilled at driving, being able to evade oncoming cars at high speeds (the have a history with law enforcement). They are intelligent as well, and poetic, but usually use this to be weird and cryptic.

Hobbies: No.

Backstory: I awaken, in cold and in pain. There is a man, he says he is Victor Frankenstein, but I will not know that until later. Now, I understand nothing, and I feel everything. I am in a loose-fitting gown and trousers, a soft, pale grey. The man screams as I stand up and open my eyes. Nothing here makes sense, as he rushes out the door and into the cold night. I walk. I touch nothing, I am terrified to touch any of these clearly fragile instruments and break them. I exit this cold, horrible room into a cold, horrible world, where I am found by men with loud, floating bikes and icy smiles. I learn only cruelty from them. It will be years before I learn language, but I understand enough: the world is cruel, so you should be too. It is the only way to survive. I hide in the shadows, slowly learning the tongue of these cold, cruel men with smiles like ice, and I use it to scream my grievances and terrors at the sky. The sky does not respond. I join up with a group of men with slightly less icy smiles, with more heart to their heartlessness. It is later that I leave them, when they ice over fully, and meet a child, alone on the streets. She is lost, clearly, and scared, and I know I could kill her. I know I could harm her like those who harmed me, and I know it would be fun. So I do not. I pick her up and find her home, where I am met with more screams and more ice to my slowly beating heart. I meet William Frankenstein, and I am filled with a sudden rage at the way he says his name, just like the man who created me, full of ice. I shatter him, and flee. I know revenge now. I plant his fine jewels in the housekeeper's room, and leave the evidence for the household to find. I hate myself for it later, but do not confess as the poor woman is executed. This shakes the household to it's boards. It is a strange glee, and a strange pain, revenge is. It is a weight. A weight that needs sharing, I reason as I find my wretched creator and demand something to hold on to, someone to know me entirely and not recoil from me. I am so, so alone, and soon he agrees, albeit reluctantly. We are, neither of us, the people we once were and it shows. When I hear of Victor destroying the creature, I weep, for a life never lived, a life meant to live. I destroy his everything. On his wedding night, I burst in, shattering the ice of both the lover and the sister, and flee. I cannot bear it anymore. I have become icy now, and I am finally free. And it hurts. So. Much. I find Victor, years later, old and tired and in need of rest. And so I stay and give him the chance, heart slowly melting.

Other: How To Rest by the Crane Wives is my mad lad's basically theme song. A little bit codependent and definitely has some unaddressed trauma from his entire life, basically.

(If I need to change anything let me know!)

(Also, a note: I may update their profiles, I posted these at like 5 in the morning and so I wasn't super coherent then.)

@ElderGod-Icefire

(D: I love them. I'll have you know that Victor is my favorite from the original story so I'm…not exactly happy with his villainization, but you don't have to change anything! Only thing I'd say is that there is a rather severe age gap between him and the rest of the cast, so I'm a little unsure about how that will affect the group's dynamics)

(yeah dude no problem, I might make some edits to my characters as well)

(I actually didn't intend on villainizing him, just be being salty at his playing god. Although you're totally valid for liking him! And I can see how you could take his characterization that way. Honestly he and Eden are complicated people who have to live with their mistakes and take care of each other in the process. I can also fix the age gap if it helps? Idk I'm happy with there I'm at but if you need anything changed I can do that.)

(Haha makes sense. :) Honestly I'm fine with you leaving his age as-is if you like, or if you bring it down a bit, that's fine too. Whatever you're content with. I just wanted to tell you that such a significant age gap might do weird things to the group dynamics)
(also I can totally see Sherlock asking Eden all sorts of questions about…everything to do with their making and existence and stuff lmao)

(Eden would probably not answer most questions, but you can totally try. Victor on the other hand would go a little too in detail for all questions asked and probably give you nightmares lmao.)

(Victor: Do know in depth the dangers of playing God?
Anyone sane: Please no. You do this every time we talk about the weather. Please, nO-
Victor: Would You Like To Know? No? Too Bad, You're Going To!)

(lmao well Sherlock is going to ask all the questions. Because they're curious)
