Oke doke! I’ve got someone in mind but his looks and such aren’t fleshed our yet so a template would be helpful!
Would you like me to post it or should we just go in blind and describe our characters throughout the story?

@ElderGod-Carrots

Hm… I don’t mind, whichever you prefer. Just a heads up though, the boy I’m planning to use is a small, cinnamon roll gay but if you want to go in blind then I’m cool with that :)

The winter chill nipped at Ollie’s face. The first few snowflakes were beginning to fall from the sky and the leaves from all the trees had finally all fallen. The blonde haired, blue eyed boy made his way from home to school, hands balled up in the sweater that was at least two sizes too big for him.

He didn’t hate school but he didn’t enjoy it, either. He had maybe one real friend and other then that he stuck to himself. He was small enough to go unnoticed by majority and no one bothered him, and he didn’t bother them, not anymore.

He walked through the school gates and up the stairs, blending in with the crowd like always.

One of the students, a boy with jarring steel-blue hair named Shiloh, leaned against his locker with his arms crossed in front of himself while he lit up a group of five to seven students with laughter. He had a reputation of wearing a flashy outfit every day and keeping the school entertained, as he was a one man circus, always getting into some stupid trouble or trying to slide down the stair railways. Today it was a relatively tame outfit: a pink sweatshirt and dipped jeans with some sort of printed leggings underneath them.

Shiloh let out a long sigh with the expressive smile still plastered on his face. As he fell quiet, a few of the students separated from the group to either go talk to other friends or get ready for their first class. His eyes fell on Ollie, the boy he’d silently nicknamed “The Disappearing Wonder.” He’d always meant to talk to him, he’d just never gotten around to him yet.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Ollie knew he had a reputation in his classes for being quiet, it was just part of who he was. Then again he could barely get a sentence out without stuttering at least once and that was partly the reason he didn’t. Not that he minded, he enjoyed being by himself.

He was one of those kids that, even though he was generally by himself, still knew people. He had acquaintances, he had people who would help him if he needed but never really talked to them. And he definitely knew who Shiloh was. Everybody did and he wasn’t the exception. He generally managed to stay away from him, he’d seen him, they made eye contact a couple times but never spoken.

He walked up to his locker, mind clouded with a bunch of different thoughts which caused a pout to firm as he pulled out the books he needed for the day.

Despite all of his outrageous outfits, the one similarity between all of them was that they were all long sleeved. Even in the summer every outfit covered his arms from shoulder to wrist, and plenty rumors emerged within the student body over why that was the case. He neither confirmed nor denied any of them.

Shiloh squinted for a moment in thought that lasted a mere two seconds.
He pushed through the crowd, gradually making his way towards Ollie’s locker. He leaned against his arm on the locker beside him, almost like a jock would. But Shiloh wasn’t a jock, far from it. “Ollie, right?” He spoke over the monstrous noise of the other students’, a skill he used often.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Despite the noise, Ollie still jumped a little, bit expecting someone, Shiloh of all people, to talk to him. He nodded a little, chewing on his lower lip before he formed a worded reply, “Y-Yeah, that’s me.”

He turned to the side, having to actually look up at the other to see his face and he cursed himself for being so short. But he didn’t and would not make eye contact with him.

@Nighean_donn

Shiloh stood at an average height for most of his peers, but notably taller than Ollie. He tried making eye contact with him, keeping his friendly smile, “I’ve been meaning to talk to you, you seem really nice.”

He lowered his arm down from the locker and jammed his hands into his pockets to (hopefully) seem more inviting.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Ollie pouted a little, confused and looking down at the floor and fiddling with the end of his sleeves, “Wh-Why would you want to t-talk to me?”

Honestly he was probably one of the most boring people in the school. Yeah, he had his fair share of bad experiences that he’d rather not think about, but nothing interesting happened to him. He raised his eyes again, this time making eye contact for a split second before looking away.

@Nighean_donn

Shiloh shrugged, “Because you seem interesting, quiet. Quiet people are always interesting because they don’t say much about themselves. It also looks like you need a friend.” He rolled his shoulders back a bit, “Do you want to sit with me at lunch today?”

Shiloh’s extroverted qualities peaked at lunch time, always having crowds surrounding him, talking to him, even hoping that he’ll start another food fight like the one he started in his sophomore year. Now as a junior he’d calmed down a bit since then, but he still very much enjoyed talking and making a scene at lunch.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Ollie tilted his head to the side, the pout deepening just a little and making him look a lot like a kicked puppy, “I-I…” He knew the antics that Shiloh got up to, knew that if he sat with him he’d be dragged into something that he wouldn’t particularly enjoy. But still…

“I-I mean… s-sure…” He offered a small, sweet smile, the dimples on his cheeks showing as he did so. He hadn’t sat with someone at lunch for a while, and Shiloh was right, he did need a friend.

@Nighean_donn

“Wonderful!” He bounced, smiling widening to reveal both sets of slightly-stained teeth “I’ll see you then! Do you know where I sit, by chance?” He shifted his weight to the other foot.

He made a mental note to make sure to save a seat beside him for Ollie. He didn’t have a close friend that always sat at his right side or anything like that, so no one should be too upset to have to move. At least they shouldn’t be upset. Who knows, maybe Ollie would become that close friend who would always have the seat beside him at lunch. It was a pleasant thought to have someone like that.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Ollie nodded. Of course he knew where Shiloh sat. On the rare occasion he actually sat inside the cafeteria he saw him from across the room, near him from across the room. Normally he would sit outside in the quiet but, due to the weather he had to sit inside.

“Y-Yeah, I-I know. See you there, then?” The smile grew just a little, eyes maybe a little brighter then they had been a second ago and his pale cheeks were definitely, tinted a light shade of pink.

@Nighean_donn

Shiloh’s expression warmed at the sight of Ollie’s smile. “See you there..” he stood there for a moment in silence before turning away with his backpack over his shoulder. He headed to his first period class, English, the one class he was actually decent in. Which was why he loved it.

But this English class would be different: all of class he would be thinking of Ollie and how happy he looked at being asked to sit with him at lunch.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Ollie watched Shiloh go before he headed to his own class, mind racing a million miles an hour. Was he just happy because he had someone to sit with? Yeah, that was it, that had to be it. He sighed, making his way to maths, a class he didn't exactly enjoy but was good at.

The day seemed to pass quickly and soon enough, lunch rolled around. Ollie headed towards the cafeteria, maybe slightly nervous as he fiddled with the ends of his sweater, scanning the room for Shiloh.

@Nighean_donn

Shiloh sat where he usually did in the corner of the room near enough to the trash cans to warrant a trash-toss challenge. He took a large bite out of his generic chicken sandwich while the rest of his table continued to riot and have fun. He sat like a king at the table, regal and composed, at least until he would finish eating.

Sure enough, he’d saved a seat beside him for Ollie. Whenever someone tried to sit there he would bark ‘I’m saving it for someone.’ or just shove them out of the way if his mouth was full. A few of them looked confused and a bit incredulous. Why would Shiloh save a seat for someone? He never did that!

@ElderGod-Carrots

Okay, maybe Ollie was regretting agreeing to sitting with Shiloh. He didn't… fit. But he guessed there was no going back now, not that the other had actually saved a seat for him. One time. He'd sit with him one time and then go back to sitting by himself.

He made his way over to the table, gently tapping Shiloh on the shoulder to let him now he was there. He didn't want to be rude and just barge in or anything, that was not the type of person he was. Yeah, he was definitely in for one hell of a lunch.
