M grunted. Pax had shifted into a panther and was lying across M’s arms (which was still sleeved you dirty-minded bastard), as if begging for the other’s attention. M had picked up his book again and was blantantly reading over the panther.
Tyler quickly retreated from the doorway and sighed. “Didn’t expect any different..” North glanced back at M for a moment before turning back towards Tyler and closing the door behind her. “Neither did I to be honest..”
They heard a meow from the Pax-panther and a low rumble of M responding. That was always the bad thing about M’s low voice, no one could ever make it out unless they were standing right there.
“I don’t think he’s even happy for me..” She finished sadly. Tyler shook his head. “I’m sure he is..”
There was another soft meow from Pax.
There was a brief sigh, and a few moments later the door opened.
“What do you guys want?” M had appeared there, Pax panting behind him.
"Just wanted to say hi..but..you seem like you don't want to be bothered so.." She started walking away, taking Tyler with her. He glanced sadly down at her, then at M, then to the ground.
M raised an eyebrow. “What makes you think I don’t want to be bothered?”
Pax gave a loud meow, pawing at M.
"Well..I don't know. You've been weird lately and I just..didn't know if you wanted to see me or not.."
M gently tapped Pax’s nose. “No, just because I’ve been acting the way I have doesn’t mean I don’t want to talk to you.”
Pax gave a sharp meow.
"Oh..well..I guess that's good.." She turned again and continued walking away.
M gave a slight scowl at her back. “What do you want?”
"I..Nothing, it's fine.." She said quietly, Tyler walking behind her with a worried look on his face.
M sighed, gave a slight roll of his eyes and shut his door again.
North stopped walking and turned to Tyler, resting her forehead on his chest. "What's wrong with mee…" Tyler sighed and picked her up easily. He carried her upstairs and laid her on the bed. "Get some sleep, you'll feel better in the morning."
