(I would think fantasy France, but if you wanna change the setting I'm fine with that too!)

(Hi, uh… it's been a bit and you can take your time. But I was thinking that possibly, the Beast could overpower and imprison Gaston, thus setting off a more BaTB-like storyline? It was just an idea, I couldn't figure out a really reasonable way to bond for the two beyond that but who knows?)

@ElderGod-Icefire

(Sorry, I've been pretty busy the past few days and I don't like rushing my character sheets bc it feels wrong to do that lol. I'll get it done soon! But yeah that makes sense. Maybe Gaston gets stuck at the castle bc of weather, too?)

@ElderGod-Icefire

Name: Percival Lavigne
Age: Questionable, as the curse has screwed with his aging and perception of time. Was 19 at the time of the casting, and due to the way it has warped his aging, is about 20-22 now despite more time than that having actually passed
Gender: Cis man
Pronouns: He/Him
Orientation: Bi
Appearance: (buckle up bc it's Complicated bc I don't know how to do things in a chill way) Okay so. Beast form first. His beast form is close to a large wolf (not going the Disney anthropomorphic route here, kiddies), with dark fur and red eyes that seem to shine in the darkness. It is also extraordinarily, and frighteningly, large, standing at the height of most grown men while still on all fours. However, its form often seems indistinct, and it moves in a very smooth, almost gliding way. In addition, it can somehow open doors and function much the way a person does. Often, if that movement is caught from the corner of the eye, it can seem as if it is a human hand opening that door or gesturing, but as soon as that realization hits, the wolf appears normal again. As if it never happened. The vast majority of the time, the wolf is on all fours, but occasionally it seems to almost become more of a wolf-man; still horrifying to look at and far more animalistic than human, but it can walk on its hind legs and its front legs/paws become more arm-like, and it's jaw shortens (not a furry and looks more like a freaky werewolf than anything else). Never looks more human than wolf, and often looks more like a massive wolf than human. Some refer to him as a dire wolf, though that label is incorrect. When he speaks, the muzzle of the wolf will twitch and its lips will move, but it doesn't usually match quite perfectly. His speech is projected through magic, rather than actually coming through his vocal cords. A quirk of the curse.
Human form: Percival, in human form, stands at 5'8" tall, with a rectangular-ish body shape. He has a narrow waist and slightly broader shoulders, but isn't bulky in any sense of the word. Does have good muscles, but again: not bulky. He has golden blond hair that falls in soft curls to his shoulders, which he often leaves free without anything tying it back. When he does choose to tie his hair back, it is usually in a low bun, or sometimes a braid. Depends on what he's feeling like doing. His eyes are a warm golden tone, with hints of hazel in them. He has thick lashes that frame his eyes rather well. Sharp, chiseled features, with high cheekbones and a perfectly sculpted mouth that is often set in a slight pout. Is always clean-shaven. Was fond of using make-up to enhance his features, with a light dust of highlighter along his cheekbones and something to set his lips off, and eyeshadow to help his eyes pop. Has long, slender, fine-boned fingers, and often wears rings (signet ring, along with others). He is white, and pretty pale, and doesn't really have any scars, either, except for a few on his back. (Currently is in his Beast form, ofc, and will remain in beast form until curse is broken)
Clothing: In Beast form, none, as it is not needed. In human form, usually finer materials. Silks, satin, velvet. Anything luxurious and lovely.
Style: Loves colors and anything lovely, really. Doesn't care quite as much about "feminine" vs "masculine" clothing
Personality Type (MBTI): honestly i have no idea sorry
Attributes: Prone to sarcasm and impatience, along with fits of anger and spite. Confident, but in a very effortless manner (or at least, used to be; his personality is a bit different in beast form)
Habits: Used to chew on pencils but will now literally chew on furniture when stressed or bored. Paces a lot. Stares at people when they're doing something obnoxious until they get self-conscious and stop.
Likes: Fire. Getting his own way. Reading. Parties. Clothes. Music.
Dislikes: Being cold. His father. Being told what to do.
Fears: His father. The enchantress that cursed him, and also fears the curse itself and that he may never be able to get rid of it.
Abilities: He's a gigantic fuckin' monster, bro. He will literally eat you, idk what else to say.
Disadvantages: Is a gigantic fuckin' monster, there is nowhere for him to hide from someone hunting him.
Disabilities (if applicable):
Weapon of Choice: His teeth. In human form it would be a sword bc he's a Gentleman/Extra like that.
Powers (if applicable): (not sure, tbh. We'll see)
Theme Song(s): "Numb Little Bug" by Em Beihold, "Need This Feeling" by Ben Schuller (acoustic version is my fave), "fuK u lol" by CORPSE (mostly fitting for his days as the playboy prince, prior to the curse)
Other: might be a bit ADHD. His mother died when he was young, and his father was abusive until he died, leaving Percival alone in the world

Hugo had been walking through town with his long-time friend and sidekick, Albert LeFou, for the day. But the day had to come to an end, and Hugo had to put an end eventually to things so he could go out and hunt for his supper. He hadn't seen his conquest today, as he affectionately referred to his Belle as. But it was too late in the day to deal with her now. She must have been in the town's small bookshop reading all day, and Hugo had made a vow to never set foot in that place as learning was for pansies and freaks, brute strength was what mattered most in the end. He tried not to think too hard about the reading lessons his mother had given him as a youth, and how much his father hated them. "Albert, my simple-minded friend, I really must be going."

"Well, better simple than complicated. Goodnight Hugo, see you tomorrow!" he said, blissfully ignorant that Hugo had just insulted him. His short, wide form waddled off into the distance, and Hugo prepared to go into the woods for the hunt. One half of the woods was common territory, overturned and barren. Lately, the townspeople had been importing meat as they were too scared to hunt in the so-called 'haunted' forest that led to the short route to the rest of the outside world. That was the other half. He got his things together and went off into the woods.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Percy was roaming the forest again. He often did, just to get out of the castle. Away from the servants with their whispers and anger at him. Away from the reminders of all that he once was and would never be again. Who would ever love a beast like him? His dark fur blended with the shadows of the forest, his upper lip curling back in a snarl to bare razor sharp, white teeth. Crimson eyes flickered across the underbrush.

He was starving, and there were always animals aplenty in these woods. His castle had always been surrounded by forest; the woods had spread unchecked for years now, and were rife with wildlife. Deer, wolves, rabbits and squirrels, and the occasional elk. He tried not to hunt those. They were too rare, too illustrious, and he could not eat it all anyway. So he usually went for rabbits or deer. They were plentiful enough. The wolves of the forest stayed well clear of him, usually. He frightened them. He was huge and his scent was strange, and none of them dared come too close.

Hugo didn’t see much big game at first, nothing he could say he was proud to hunt. He walked further and further into the woods, the only thing keeping him going as the late autumn weather slowly got worse being spite and hubris. He hadn’t expected snow to drift down into his hair and melt bitterly on his cheeks, but it did. Isn’t it a bit too early for snow? he wondered, but still he pressed on. He was too hungry to care now, any initial caution completely blown away by now. He continued on in his search for food, when he stumbled across the broken branches and snippets of fur indicative of a larger creature. It looked like something that could kill a man if you weren’t careful. He followed the careless tracks, loading a shotgun and looking further into the deep, deep black. That was when he saw it. The wolf, but too big to be a wolf. Too monstrous. Hugo obviously shot at it the moment he was within range. He missed, but the second time hit the sinew and bone if its shoulder. It was massive, and wolf made good eating when desperate. This would be one hell of a story to tell, Hugo reasoned.

@ElderGod-Icefire

The first gunshot made his ears prick and his eyes flick, searching for the sound. He found Hugo at the same moment the second bullet hit his shoulder. A howl of pain broke from him, his claws digging into the snow as his legs fumbled for traction. Stay or fight? His instincts, more beast than man, decided very quickly. Fight. This human was an interloper and a trespasser, and he had just shot at Percy!

So, with a low growl that sounded ripped from the bowels of hell, he sprang towards Hugo, teeth bared and eyes gleaming crimson. Percy was no ordinary beast, and while the shot to his shoulder certainly hurt, it had by no means immobilized him. He was still massive, and freakishly strong too.

Hugo stumbled back, tripped over a root, and fell back against the tree. He was off his game tonight and it would probably kill him. He quickly stood and ran in the direction he came from; quickly he found it was already blocked off but there was another path. It lead towards some suspicious light, but light could mean shelter. Hugo certainly wouldn’t mind shelter. He ran towards the light, as fast as he could. And when he reached it, he found it to be a castle. He took out some knives, the mortar was soft after all these years. He used that to his advantage to scale the walls. He did so quickly so the thing wouldn’t crumble down on top of him. He fell forward to the ground, and ran across the rose-filled courtyard to a side door in the castle (probably for servants). To his good fortune, it was unlocked.

He entered. Hugo looked around and saw that the place was already lit, but didn’t understand why a castle so old would be lit up like that. Wouldn’t the people know about this? Then he reconsidered. Superstition was at large in his community, and this castle looked pretty cut off. Maybe they were getting supplies from elsewhere, and honestly that was fine by him so long as he could find shelter from this monster. He made his way through the narrow passageway, his broad chest brushing the ancient stone passageway and hair being caught in the cobwebs above.
