(I’ve been meaning to start a O/O like this before, but I haven’t had the chance do, but I decided - hey, why not now? I wanted to do something to help develop my character, Wendell, so here we are!)

In a close future to ours..
A city, with bright lights, and plenty of secrets. It’s inhabitants are many, and each unique, in their own way. Yet the city is thick with fog, and that fog is crime. Some crimes are minor, others are the opposite.
Most of us, are just trying to survive, however.

Alright so with that being said this is a roleplay taking place in a city (and the rural parts outside of the city if we do go there). It’s a few decades in the future, alternate universe maybe so you’re not gonna see any spaceships flying around like that. But there is a lot of freedom in this RP, I’ll tell you that.
RULES

  1. LGBTQ+ is fine.
  2. Romance is also fine. In fact, I’d enjoy it.
  3. In addition to the above two.. Wendell is a straight man, so if you do plan for romance, keep that in mind.
  4. No auto hitting, but don’t dodge every attack either.
  5. Violence is fine. Keep gore to a minimum if you need to describe it.
  6. In addition to rule 2, if things get too hot and steamy.. let’s take it to the PMs, please.
  7. Good grammar and at least 3 sentences are appreciated. The expectation is if it’s a conversation or something.
  8. Stalkers welcome.
  9. Nothing too OP!
  10. This list might change. And have fun.
  11. Oh please don’t let this die
  12. Cursing is okay.
  13. andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)’s rules apply.
  14. Rated M just in case.

    Appearance:
    Clothing:
    Do you abide by the law: (aka, list yes if your character is a police officer or civilian, no if they’re criminal. Law would be interesting to see, because of Wendell being a criminal, but you have choice.)

Name: Wendell Whitmore
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Age: 24
Appearance: Much of his physical appearance is unknown because of the clothing he wears, and it is said only a select few have seen his face. But he’s fair skinned, 5’11, weighing 167 lbs. His build isn’t too muscular and he’s rather lithe. He’s rumoured to have blue-grey eyes.
Clothing: He wears a mask covering the entire face and head, with a visor as well. His trench coat he wears is a dark green and his pants, tucked into his black boots are more of a charcoal grey. Optionally, he wears a grey ushanka. His gloves are black.

Do you abide by the law: No.
Personality: Wendell is the definition of a wannabe criminal. On one hand, he’s not that threatening (most of the time), on the other hand, his band of criminals are extremely so. He seems to have a mixed personality, which he can go from being “Are you alright?” To “Shoot them and let’s leave.” Wendell is easily flattered and surprisingly caring, despite his not so good origins. He does get annoyed easily, and has a low attention span.

Job: He’s a criminal.
Extra: Uses an obvious voice changer.

@Nighean_donn

Name: April Bailey
Gender: female
Sexuality: heterosexual
Age: 22
Appearance: April has a shorter, angled face shape with a light scar on her left cheek from a childhood accident. She is generally very lean and muscled from training, standing at a 5’6” and weighing 134 pounds. When thinking or not talking to anyone, her face is usually emotionless and cold by default. Being born in Germany, her skin tone is fairly light, and slightly tanned by the hours of training she spends with her dog. She once cut her black hair short to her ears at the beginning of police academy, but she let it grow out to about her shoulder blades, and plans to continue to let it grow until it annoys her too much.
Clothing: When not in her uniform, she usually wears darker colored blazers and black jeans out and about. At the house she enjoys the freedom of a comfortable crop top and yoga pants. She would never wear her home outfit out and about, nor let anyone see it.
Do you abide by the law: yes
Personality: In general, she likes her dog (and other animals) more than people. Alone her dog, April is silly, expressive, and even entertains making the classic “baby noises” to her dog. However, at the first meeting of a person, she can seem offish and judge-y, very quiet about her opinions. But like most people, she opens up more to people the longer she knows them. For her, this means that she’s a lot more blunt and honest about her opinions about them, she’ll openly laugh and smile without restraint. But even after knowing someone for several years, falling in love with them, or moving in with them, she might always be quiet around them, lost in thought or reading a book. She loves the idea of being alone together with the people she loves.
Job: police officer, K-9 unit
Extra: she has a Malinois dog partner named Bo, nicknamed Boey

(I like her! I’ll get started with a starter. Do you have any specific ideas on a starter, or did you want me to just go ahead?)

@Mojack group

Wendell walked briskly on the sidewalk, trailing behind him were the not so obvious members of his group, preferring to stay incognito before they got to the store. Perhaps it was a bit odd to see a masked individual in broad daylight, but there were even stranger individuals in the city, and Wendell also had an image to create. With that being said, he could already see the small store, and he signals behind him for his members to move up and enter the store - in an aggressive manner.
With their guns pointed out they shouted commands for the people within the store to get down. There was only the cashier, however. Wendell decided to keep the cashier as a hostage. However, contrary to popular belief, Wendell did not like to kill people, so he’d rather not kill this hostage, either.

The total members he’d brought along with him were three. So there were three of them within the store, four including the hostage. With one of his men on the hostage, the other went for the money, and Wendell watched the streets. The fourth member was waiting in the parking lot across from the store in a van, hopefully to serve as a getaway driver - as long as everything went alright. This might take some time.

@Nighean_donn

On her way home from her shift, April decided to stop by said store to retrieve a few things. She pulled the car up to the front of the store, put off by a few inconsistencies. Something wasn’t right here..
She squinted through the windows, only catching glimpses of the situation inside.

April cursed and reached over to the radio stationed in her car, which was of course, marked. That would be a dead giveaway for her if anyone was watching out for police. She pressed the button to speak, alerting them of the robbery and store location. She would have to leave the premises fast without backup; robberies usually included guns. She drove through the parking lot to a—hopefully—inconspicuous plot of another store nearby.

Bo, her Malinois canine partner, paced around excitedly in the backseat.

“Calm down, Boey,” She hushed him and opened her car door.

@Mojack group

Wendell could hear the car drive up from his spot near the door. Currently, he crouched by a shelf. He peered out the glass door, scanning for the situation, but immediately went back behind the shelf when he noticed the woman exiting the car.

To be honest, Wendell was a bit nervous. Knowing his luck, things might not go so well. But for now, he let that thought drift off.
He looked to the hostage and his other man, nodding silently and gesturing outside. The man, known by his alias; ‘Fox’ leaned over from his spot, then returned to the hostage again.

There was no need to brandish his pistol. Doing that would probably make the situation first; even Wendell was aware of that. Again, he opened the door slightly, and raised his voice as he shouted outside. “Don’t come in! We have a hostage!”

@Nighean_donn

April stopped when she heard the man's voice, "I'm not coming in!" she yelled back, hand drawing back to place her hand on the gun at her side, only hold it there in case she saw firearms, "But I highly suggest you exit the building with your hands above your head! It will help things go a lot smoother and even nobody has to get hurt."

Her dog yearned to get out of the car, anxiously sniffing at the windows. Normally she would let him out, but this wasn't the time.

April stayed a few several yards away from the door, listening for the police sirens to alert her that she wouldn't be alone. Being alone in situations like these terrified her, and yet she managed to keep a straight, detached expression. The more scared or anxious she was, the more stone cold her face became, eve if her heart was pounding.

@Mojack group

When he heard the reply, Wendell almost immediately responded. “I’m sorry,” he paused. “But I’m afraid I can’t exactly do that.”
He turned around to Fox, before whisper-yelling over at him. “What’s taking so long with the money?”

Fox shrugged, turning to the other man who was grabbing whatever he found. They exchanged a few words, and Fox shrugged.
Wendell turned back to the door. He didn’t like it when things like these took so long. He preferred to get in, grab money/stuff, and get out. A delay, in his opinion, was not a good sign.

@Nighean_donn

The rest of her backup returned in a matter of minutes, screeching into the parking lot behind April. They rushed out of their cars, all armed with the expectation of the worst situation.

A few other cars pulled around to the other side o the building, just in case there was a back entrance for the criminals to escape.

April followed her superior towards the store entrance.

"Secure the area–" Her superior spoke to her over his shoulder, his eyes still glued to the suspect, "Come out with your hands above your head!" He cried to them, hand on his belt the same way April had held hers.

@Mojack group

“Like I told the other cop, I can’t do that.” He attempted to keep the waver from his voice. He turned to Fox, who nodded, and the other man getting the money approached the front, although none of them exited. It could be seen that Wendell picked something from his pocket.
Wendell texted to the getaway driver.
READY.

He was well aware the getaway might take some time, so he decided to stall, for now. And what he was about to do was probably not the best choice, but he stood up and pulled the hostage in front of view of the glass door. He then pulled out his hand pistol, and pressed the barrel to the hostage’s head. The hostage was clearly nervous, but stayed silent, hands up.

Wendell tilted his head. He wasn’t really well known, so it was an advantage on his part. None of them would know he had no true intention to kill. At least, for now.

“I suggest you not come closer to this store, or things will get messy quick.”

@Nighean_donn

The man’s blood ran cold at the heinous sight; he froze in his tracks a few yards from the store, his face hardening into a scowl. He wouldn’t, this unknown criminal wouldn’t kill an innocent bystander..right? They had to approach this very delicately, but a gun threat meant he had probably needed I use his own gun. He subtly clutched his hand around the handle of his pistol.

April jogged away back to her car, glancing over her shoulder to the scene just in case there was another man in the criminals’ team used as a getaway. The other three officers stood in a haphazard line all a step behind their superior. They all braced themselves for anything.

Being away from one’s team almost never ended well, April swallowed. She opened the back door and grabbed onto Bo’s leash and practically yanked the eager dog out of the car. He might come in useful, either securing the scene as her superior had asked…or chasing down a runaway if the situation called for it.

@Mojack group

Wendell kept still, just staring out into the scene. His expression was unreadable due to his mask, and he seemed to keep his body language firm - at the very moment.

His phone buzzed, and Wendell could be seen again taking out a phone. Immediately, his gun arm seemed to lower, as if disappointed. But disappointment was not what he felt.

OUT OF GAS. CANT MAKE IT.

He could be seen bolstering his pistol momentarily and sending something back.

It’s fine.’ Even though it wasn’t. Hand on the pistol, he turned and looked each of his men in the eye. And with that, he shoved aside the hostage and broke into a run outside of the store, immediately taking a left. Meanwhile the other two men took a right.

However, Wendell panicked slightly as he tripped while running, slowing his progress down. He began to get back up and start running again.

@Nighean_donn

April lurched at the sight of the man running away from the store. She unclipped Boey’s leash, sending him it in Wendell’s direction, “Go, Bo! Get him!”

Bo took off in a fast sprint towards Wendell, mouth parted and head low to the ground.

April took off behind her dog after unlatching her gun from her belt. This could go bad— it could go very bad.

(Sorry for the short reply, I’ve been sick for the past couple days and I wanted to get at least something posted so you didn’t have to wait too long for me lol)

@Mojack group

(Tis fine)

Wendell took a glance behind him for whatever reason and felt the panic rise as he saw Bo behind him.

“Dog? Oh of course there’s one!” Despite the voice changer, panic was clear in his voice, and he didn’t even try to hide it. At the time, he was focused on running, so Wendell did not stop and pull out his gun; but rather continued his escape from the area.

Although, Wendell was human, and humans got tired after some time. He’d eventually start to slow down in speed.

@Nighean_donn

Bo gained distance faster than most humans, charging towards the criminal while leaving April behind to trail behind them. He bounded towards Wendell as he slowed and caught up to him. He launched himself forwards, jaws open and aimed for Wendell’s arm.

April sprinted faster as she saw her dog leap for attack. If Boey did catch actually him, she would need to be there to both tackle Wendell and make Boey let go of his vicious hold.

@Mojack group

Wendell’s main focus was to gain distance, and get away. But what he did not expect was to glance behind him, and see Boey right there, on his trail. And to add onto that, he was going in for a bite.

It was enough for Wendell to let out an audible yell, somewhat filtered through the voice changer in his mask. The bite; Wendell wasn’t exactly thinking right either, so that only added up to the chance that Boey was able to clamp down on him. And it actually happened, too.

He fell down, attempting to push the dog off him, although it was quite hard with how panicked he felt and how much pain he’d felt as well.

@Nighean_donn

As he was trained, Bo stayed clamped down on his arm, snarling at the criminal.

April eventually caught up with them and grabbed Wendell’s other arm and pinned him down with her knee on his back— Not to say that was very easy with him struggling and panicking— “Let go, Boey!” She ordered her dog, who didn’t seem to listen until she grabbed the top of his muzzle with her free hand hand.

Boey reluctantly let go of his arm and took a few steps back while he panted and caught his breath. His tongue fell out the side of his mouth.

April radio-ed back to her team “I have the first suspect!”

@Mojack group

Wendell continued to struggle for a few more moments, though it was hard, so eventually he decided to stop. Perhaps it would be easier if he went along with whatever was next, unless an opportunity presented itself.

Wendell’s arm ached slightly from the hold he was placed in earlier. He attempted to turn his head a bit - just to look around, maybe.

He could be heard sighing through his mask. Whether it was frustration, or exhaustion, or maybe both, would not be known. “Not getting the others, though.” He muttered, upset this robbery hadn’t gone so well on his end. He was the leader - why was he getting caught? Even then, the first one?

The other suspects - Fox, and the man with the stuff had also now gone into a car, and had more than likely escaped, or were trying to shake off any officers.

((Apologies for slow replies))

@Nighean_donn

(No problem! I’m really slow sometimes too)

April pulled both of his arms behind his back to handcuff his wrists while a line of maybe two other officers ran up to meet them. She stood up off of him, yanking him up with her.

One of her coworkers patted him down in search of the gun, or any other weapon. “The rest of the team are chasing the rest of the suspects, but they’re losing ground,” they spoke to April.

April nodded, “Okay. Well we at least have him. He’ll likely need transported to the hospital. It seems like Boey gave him a pretty good bite.”

Bo continued to pant and wag his tail while he watched April and the others.

@Mojack group

Wendell stood, knowing that there was no way he could get away right now.

Upon hearing the word hospital, Wendell spared a glance to his arm, and gave a slight nod, mostly to himself. Even he knew animal bites - or injuries, of any type were to be taken care of.

He also caught hearing of the suspects as well; or rather his teammates. He knew Fox was a good shot, and the others would probably meet up with the ‘suspects’ to regroup and decide what to do afterwards. He was their leader after all. A leader that was currently handcuffed, and currently, unable to do anything.

In terms of what he had on him, he had a pistol. Bullets in it, too. Wendell was the one who held a civilian to gunpoint with that very gun..Wendell had a feeling that would soon come to bite him back soon enough.

He also had a pocket knife, but it was unused.
