Alexander didn't feel tired; his body felt heavy with exhaustion. He shifted, propping himself up on his elbows on either side of Faybian's head. With gentle fingers, he began to play with Faybian's hair, combing it back to reveal more of his face. "You know…" His voice was soft, almost a whisper, carrying a delicate weight that resonated in his chest. "Remember when my professor suggested I change my thesis topic to something easier and more relatable? The other day, I told him he should guide students to pursue their passions and specialize in their chosen field because anything less is disrespectful." He let out a small chuckle, the sound warm and genuine. "I think that's the first time I ever stood up for myself like that. You don't count, of course. You're my equal, not my teacher. But I think you helped me find that courage. You've taught me to speak my mind and assert my beliefs rather than keep them bottled up for years. So, thanks for that too." With a soft smile, he leaned down and pressed his lips against Faybian's. As their lips met, Alexander felt a rush of warmth flood him, a sensation that seemed to ignite every nerve in his body. It was a tender kiss, soft and gentle yet filled with an underlying intensity that spoke volumes of their connection. He savored the moment, the press of Faybian's lips against his own sending a shiver down his spine. It was a kiss born of gratitude and affection, a silent promise of unwavering support and understanding. Closing his eyes, Alexander allowed himself to be swept away by the sensation, lost in the sweet embrace of their shared intimacy. Time seemed to stand still as they lingered in that fleeting moment, their breath mingling in the quiet space between them, each heartbeat echoing the depth of their bond.

@Fenrir

Faybian practically started purring the moment Alexander ran his fingers through his hair. His hands ghosted over Alexander's skin, determined to stay relatively aware of what his fiance was saying, even if he was being extremely distracting. "And you did that all on your own? I'm proud of you, my love. And just when I thought I'd get over being flustered by you." He murmured, reaching up and caressing Alexander's cheek. He shook his head and reached up to press a kiss to Alexander's brow, "I can't possibly take all the credit for all that. You did quite a lot of that by yourself. I'm just glad I'm able to stand by you as you've grown into this amazing person." He brought Alexander close, kissing back eagerly. He slowly shifted so that Alexander was nestled between the wall and Faybian's form, never once breaking their tender kiss. He tugged the heavy blanket over top of them, knowing that as much as Alexander wanted to stay up, they'd both end up falling asleep eventully in a tangled mess of limbs, pillows, and blankets. A mess but undenyably comfortable with each other. Besides, his angel had been working non-stop for the past few months, a break was definately in order but more importantnly, a long, deep sleep, something that wouldn't be interupted by classes or work.

@Diavolo group

Alexander woke up earlier than usual the following day, compelled by the looming specter of a lab assignment awaiting completion. Despite his desire to tackle the task from the comfort of his home, he knew the importance of adhering to the teacher's instructions to avoid academic pitfalls. With a playful squirm, he extricated himself from Faybian's embrace, akin to a fish being pulled out of water. A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he gazed fondly at his slumbering partner. "You just never want to let me go," he teased, leaning down to kiss Faybian's forehead tenderly. "Are you going to grace me with your culinary skills this morning, or should I go to the bakery for a quick snack?" Alexander whispered affectionately into Faybian's ear, fully aware that his playful antics had roused his beloved from sleep. His disheveled appearance, with tousled hair courtesy of the bedsheets and a mischievous glint in his eyes, betrayed the anticipation that accompanied the start of a new day.

@Fenrir

Faybian was awake the moment Alexander so very rudely pulled himself away from his embrace but he didn't move, at elast not yet. Not until his cookng skills were put against some prissy bakery from down the street. Granted they had been countless times for Alexander's sugar cravings when Faybian was too tired to make anything up to his standards at the ungodly hours of midnight, and he had genuinely liked sampling their array of pastries but suggesting they eat at the bakery this early in the morning was an insult. And even if by some small miracle, they were to eat a bakery, how dare Alexander suggest just eating a "quick snack"? How could Faybian, as an adoring fiance, let his love go out into the world to be his successful self with only a small measly snack to hold him over until lunch if by another miracle he actually ate lunch? Faybian was going to genuinely start believing in heaven with how many supposed miracles happened to Alexander alone on a given day. He gave a soft growl in protest before glaring up from where his face was now pressed against the pillow instead of against Alexander's neck. He slowly sat up, yawned widely, studied Alexander for a half a second, letting him have his small victory of waking Faybian up before 9 am, wrapped his human in a hug, and immediately flopped back into bed. "No, I don't." He muttered, shifting so that he lightly pinned Alexander against the bed. "5 More minutes angel, please." He begged, resting his head against Alexander's chest and trying his damndest to go back to blissful sleep.

@Diavolo group

(AHHHHHH SO CUTEEE ToT, he's so precious!)

He let out a playful yelp as Faybian pulled him back into the warmth of his embrace, unable to resist the allure of a few more moments cocooned in his lover's arms. "Oh, you wicked tempter," he teased, his voice laced with affectionate amusement. "Fine, just five more minutes, but then I must start getting ready. You know how meticulous I am when selecting my outfits." Nestling closer into Faybian's comforting embrace, he allowed himself to bask in the soothing heat that enveloped him, a welcome reprieve from the abrupt chill he had felt upon rising from bed earlier. "I'm serious, Faybian," he mumbled into the fabric of his lover's shirt, his voice softened by the warmth and contentment that flooded his senses. "Just five minutes." He made a valiant effort to stave off the temptation to succumb to sleep, determined to adhere to his self-imposed time limit. Yet, despite his best intentions, as the five-minute mark approached, he found himself extending it by two more, unable to tear himself away from the comforting presence of his beloved. Eventually, with a gentle tap on Faybian's shoulder, he reluctantly signaled that their time together had ended. "Time's up, mister," he chuckled softly, his voice tinged with a hint of reluctance as he prepared to untangle himself from their embrace. "It's time to start my day." With a tender smile, he pressed a lingering kiss upon Faybian's lips.

@Fenrir

(:3 I love them both)
"Okay," he mumbled, only nuzzling deeper against Alexander. They had a routine by now, at least for most mornings. Faybian truely didn't like waking in the morning, he had never been an early bird but by now he had learned how important Alexander took his work. Starting early for him was essentially if he wanted to take advantage of the day and be successful, all of which Faybian was extremely proud of. If only it didn't take time away from their morning quality time. Though he supposed that's what weekends were for. "I do indeed, my love. Especially now that you've learned there's more to a redrobe than just sweatpants and t-shirts." He teased, glancing down at where Alexander and curled up against him. He chuckled softly and kissed Alexander'a head "yes, my love. Only five minutes." He promised, gently rubbing Alexander's back and humming softly. In reality they probably had 10 minutes before time became a minor worry but he knew how much Aexander liked his scheduling. He tilted his head back to gaze at his beloved human and smiled softly. He reluctantly loosened his hold and sat up to begin their day. He gently cupped Alexander's cheek, desperately wanting to fall back into bed but he broke away first and nudged Alexander's shoulder. "I'll start breakfast while you get dressed." He stood from the bed and tied his hair back. Tugging on jacket that was on the back of Alexander's desk chair, he made his way out to the kitchen.

@Diavolo group

"Mmm," he hummed softly in agreement, his tired smile lingering as he watched Faybian exit the room. With a contented sigh, he reached for his glasses on the nightstand, sliding them onto his nose before rising from the bed with a stretch. As he made his way over to the wardrobe, he couldn't help but lament the dwindling options for warm-weather attire amidst his collection, dominated by winter clothing. "What do you think about going out shopping for clothes this weekend?!" he called out to Faybian, his voice carrying through the apartment. With a thoughtful frown, he selected a pair of light silk pants from the wardrobe, their black hue contrasting against the brightness of the room. The fabric felt smooth against his skin as he pulled them on, the high-waisted design adding a touch of sophistication to his ensemble. Next, he opted for a loose white button-up shirt, leaving the top button undone as was his signature style. Tucking in the edges neatly, he fluffed out the shirt to achieve the desired effect, ensuring it matched his aesthetic. With his white boots waiting by the doorway, he hurried off to the bathroom to attend to his tousled hair, which had grown longer in recent weeks. Lacking the time to visit the barber, he swiftly gathered his hair into a hasty ponytail, the result perfectly imperfect. Adjusting his glasses with a satisfied nod in the mirror, he completed the remainder of his morning routine before returning to the kitchen. As he approached Faybian, engrossed in his culinary endeavors, he couldn't resist the urge to sneak up behind him and wrap his arms around him in a tender embrace. "Looks good," he murmured, his voice warm with appreciation as he admired the food and the man preparing it. "Did I mention how amazing you look when you cook?" Alexander never realized it, but their height difference was pretty significant. He couldn't kiss him from where he was standing, which made him frown.

@Fenrir

Faybian would eventually change later after Alexander had gone to class and work on tyding the apartment. After the proposal, he had gotten it into his head that he probably needed a job now that his stay in the mortal world be more permanent. He had a meeting coming up again with Lucifer to discuss his contract and the condition he'd be under for staying in the mortal world as a demon lord. Faybian expected to lose his title and much of the privileges he had built up in the last few centuries but he didn't mind too much, not if he got to stay with Alexander. The technicality of it all would be discussed later, including how he'd stay human while in the mortal world After all, he couldn't be running around looking like his normal self out in public all that often without someone taking notice. All he hoped was to be with Alexander, without either side interfering. Was that a lot to ask for yes. But he's made it this far, he was going to marry Alexander and they'd live out their lives together. No one was going to stop that. He glanced over his shoulder when Alexander came in and enveloped him in a hug, pausing in his wisking to dropp a kiss to his hair. "Yes, we can go shopping later if you're not tired after class." He replied, putting down the bowl of pancake batter he was whisking to scoop Alexander up and set him on the counter, careful not to ruin his outfit. "You're the one who looks amazing here, dear." he argued lightly, leaning in to press a kiss to Alexander's lips. "I might just have you for breakfast instead." He cooed, dropping a kiss to Alexander's shoulder before focusing back on breakfast. He had learned the wonderful world of meal planning ahead and had popped some scones in the over as a snack for Alexander to eat later. That paired with a smoothie that was already pre-portioned into smoothie bottles and a small side salad should hold Alexander over until dinner.

@Diavolo group

Alexander's heart fluttered like a trapped bird as he caught himself in Faybian's gaze, a rush of warmth flooding his cheeks. His breath caught in his throat. Despite his attempts to maintain composure, he couldn't help but feel like a dear caught in headlights. With trembling hands, Alexander attempted to shield his flushed face from Faybian's tender scrutiny, the embarrassment coursing through him like wildfire. He cursed inwardly, chastising himself for his inability to handle such simple expressions of affection. Why did Faybian always have this effect on him? It was maddening yet undeniably intoxicating. Summoning what little courage remained, Alexander attempted to salvage the situation with a feeble attempt at humor. "Y-You can't just say things l-like that and never follow through, you know," he stammered, his voice betraying his inner turmoil. Yet, his attempt at a comeback only seemed to exacerbate his embarrassment instead of Faybian's.

@Fenrir

Faybian paused from adding berries and chocolate chips into the batter and looked Alexander over in amusement. "My love," he purred softly, abandoning his work in favor of teasing his fiance. "If I were to follow through on every flirtatious comment and quip, you'd never leave the house in one piece." He reasoned sweetly, all the while finding small places of exposed skin to touch Alexander, just beneath the shirt trailing the length of his spine, grazing the waistback, nudging aside the shirt collar to press kisses Alexander's neck down to his collarbone then back up towards his ear. "Shall I continue?" He whispered against Alexander's ear, moving his hand so that it cupped Alexander's thigh and brought them flush against each other. "As much as I love you, and would do just about anything to keep you here, you do have class soon, my dear." He pressed a kiss to Alexander's cheek before setting him down again and continuing with breakfast, by now everything mostly done save for the pancakes he kept getting distracted from.

@Diavolo group

Alexander's cheeks flushed a deeper shade of pink as Faybian's teasing words washed over him, sending a shiver down his spine. He couldn't help but squirm under Faybian's touch, a mixture of embarrassment and arousal coursing through him. "F-Faybian," he stammered, his voice barely above a whisper as he tried to maintain some semblance of composure. The gentle caresses beneath his shirt and along his spine sent waves of warmth through him, causing his heart to race erratically. He closed his eyes briefly, relishing the sensation of Faybian's lips on his neck, the tender kisses trailing down to his collarbone. Each touch, each whisper, ignited a fire within him, a longing that he could hardly contain. As Faybian's hand cupped his thigh, drawing them impossibly closer, Alexander's breath caught in his throat. The intimacy of their closeness was overwhelming yet intoxicating, leaving him yearning for more even as he struggled to catch his breath. He wanted to say yes to Faybian's question, but he had already pulled away. He groaned but understood why. He pushed himself off the counter and tried to calm himself, but he still felt Faybia's touch, especially on his leg. "You really are evil." he huffed.

@Fenrir

Faybian watched with a self-satisfied little smirk as Alexander hopped off the counter, "I have no idea what you mean, my dear. I'm an angel." He replied with a wink, shaking his head adoringly as he grabbed a spatula and started to portion out perfect little cloud pancakes. While he waited to flip them over, Faybian also made a quick homemade whipped cream and got the scones out of the oven to pack later. He found two plates in the cabinets above and started plating the bacon and eggs before scooping up the pancakes and setting them gently in the center. Finishing off the dishes with a dollop of whipped cream on each plate and sprinkling a bit of granola on top, Faybian smiled proudly at his creation and carried the two plates over to their dining table. He set the plate in front of Alexander and pressed a kiss to his head. He set his own plate down, but remained by Alexander, gently tugging his ponytail free to fix it from where he had dug his fingers in when they he had been teasing his poor fiance. "Another lab today?" He asked, hiding another yawn as they settled into their quiet morning. He combed through Alexander's hair, momentarily mesmerized by the repeated movement before he tugged it back into a neat ponytail, braiding a small section to wrap around the hairtie. He tilted Alexander's head back and met him with a sweet kiss before settling beside him to eat his own breakfast.

@Diavolo group

"Yeah…" he whispered, answering Faybian's question. As Alexander felt the gentle touch, a sense of tranquility washed over him, eliciting a soft hum of contentment. "Mmm, that feels amazing," he murmured, savoring the sensation. He gladly gave in the short yet sweet kiss Faybian gave him. "I swear, if you could do this every day, I'd never have a care. Your touch is like magic on my scalp." He pulled a few strands of hair forward with a subtle adjustment, shielding his forehead from the light. "There, much better," he remarked, a faint smile on his lips. "Maybe this time around, I'll have some assistance. It'd be a welcome change from shouldering all the responsibility alone. Knowing my luck, I'll probably do everything myself again." He shook his head in mild frustration before focusing on his meal. "So, what's on your agenda for today?" he inquired, invitingly reaching out his hand across the table. "You don't have to share if you don't want to, but I can tell by the look on your face earlier that you were considering a trip to… well, you know where." His tone was gentle yet probing, seeking confirmation of Faybian's intentions. "Just, whatever happens, be careful. I know how powerful you are. When you first got here, you liked to say it a lot, and I asked you for such a ridiculous request. Just please."

@Fenrir

"perhaps not everyday, I know you like changing your hairstyle every now and again, but I wouldn't mind doing your hair every few days if you'd like." Faybian's soft smile fell slightly at the mention of Alexander not getting help yet again for his previous lab assignments. "You will, my dear. You've grown so much. You're not the up-tight know-it-all I first met." He lightly teased. "Now you've learned to open up to new possibilities, you're excited about your new labs, and you're passionate about your future. If others can't see that and don't want a chance at working with you that's there loss." He gently took Alexander's hand and pressed a kiss to his knuckles. Faybian fliched, hoping he could have hidden his nerves better until Alexander had left for class. It wasn't so much nerves as it was anticipation. He could already imagine how the conversation would go and while he knew the King of Hell was more lax now that his daughter was in his life again, Faybian knew that wouldn't guarentee a pass. After all, he had fallen in love with a human and was planning on marrying him. Would Luce even allow that? Especially since Faybian was a fallen angel himself, would that change anything? Faybian was an Overlord of hell, not all that powerful in the grand scheme of things but not so lowly enough that Luce wouldn't take notice if up and dissapeared all of a sudden. He gently squeened Alexander's hand. "And here I though I still had a few more years before you could read me like a book." He sighed softly and nodeed. "I am planning to go back to Hell. It's better if I explain things to Luce rather than he find out later. Besides that, there are a few things I want to work out down there before we get married." His demeanor brightened ever so slightly at Alexander worry but he kept back a snarky comment if only to please his fiance and dull his concerns. "I will my dear. I promise." He lughtl6 brushed his thumb along Alexander's hand in an attempt to sooth them both. All he hoped was that he's able to stay here as long as possible with the one he loved.

@Diavolo group

"Okay…" he whispered and focused on eating his food. It was delicious as always, making him smile with every bite. "Hey, when you're done with everything in hell, I mean, like when you finished, if you finished today, would you like to come to my university and go to this cafe with me? I'm not sure how things work down there, and if it doesn't take up the whole day, then you could meet me, and we could have a light lunch, right?" He smiled and squeezed Faybians's hands out of nervousness. He was so used to holding his hand that he forgot that Faybian was receiving the squeeze rather than him. "If it takes the whole day, that's fine; we can just go another day." He stuffed his mouth with another piece of pancake so he would stop talking like a madman. "Also, I can always go down there with you. I don't mind missing a day or two. I don't know when I last got sick, so one day should be fine if you want to take me with you." He was still nervous and cautious with his words. He didn't want to come off as too pushy. He hated asking people whether it was going out or what they wanted to eat more so because he was always afraid of rejection.

@Fenrir

Faybian watched with a small smile as Alexander stumbled through his words, finding so many words to say something so simple. He laced their hands together and gave a reassuring squeeze, and to calm both their nerves. "I would love to go out with you as long as you don't propose again. At least give me a chance plan something." He teased, trying not to bring down the mood. "It may not be a day. I doubt the absence of an overloard is similar to a work leave. Above all else, I'm technically not supposed to be here without a good reason. Marriage to the human I previously had a contract with doesn't fall under that unfortunately." Faybian sighed softly, letting go to gently brush Alexander's cheek before resuming holding his hand and eating breakfast for a few blissful moments.
He snapped his head up, nearly dropping his fork, "Absolutely not, I don't want you there." He stated firmly, a flash of fear in his violet eyes. The last thing he wanted to imagine was Alexander becoming a sinner. Granted he was right on track by marrying Faybian in the first place but beyond that Alexander didn't deserve such a terrible fate. For Faybian to be the only reason for Alexander to be in Hell wasn't worth it either. As much as Faybian had come to love his human, that mattered little when it came to an eternal soul and where they ended up. He could live this life loving Alexander to the absolute fullest if only he got to heaven at the end of his life.
He turned away slightly before taking a deep breath. "I'm sorry love, I didn't mean it like that." He murmured, standing to stand behind Alexander and hug him around his shoulder not caring if his air got messed up again as he kissed his head. "I promise you we'll take a break soon, go wherever you'd like for however long you need."

@Diavolo group

Alexander flinched slightly at Faybian’s tone, his gaze dropping to the table instead of meeting Faybian’s eyes. “But…” he whispered, feeling his chest tighten as Faybian enveloped him from behind in a hug. “It’s okay, I know you didn’t mean it like that,” Faybian reassured him, Alexander’s hands finding their place on Faybian’s forearms as he closed his eyes and leaned into the embrace. As thoughts swirled in his mind, Alexander hesitated to ask more questions, sensing Faybian had a good reason. He drifted in thought for a while, attempting to decipher Faybian’s motives, but found no clues. His breath hitched as he returned from his musings, gently shifting Jas off him to reach the sink and place his dish. Turning back with a smile, he asked, “Would you mind doing the dishes? I have to leave now. Don’t forget about meeting me at the cafe. Before leaving, Alexander planted a quick peck on Faybian’s cheek, his hands resting on Faybian’s chest. Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, he realized a rare feeling of nervousness, particularly around Faybian lately. Shaking off the feeling, he convinced himself he was overthinking it, slipping on his shoes and grabbing his bag. “I’ll see you later, I love you,” he said with a grin before heading out the door.

@Fenrir

Faybian closed his eyes as they hugged for a moment as if his hold on Alexander was the only thing keeping him here on Earth, out of Hell and safe. "But it came out that way regardless and I'm sorry." He argued softly. "It's not that I don't want you with me if it were up to me, I'd stay here for eternity with you. Hell isn't a place for you though. You're not meant to be there and I don't want to be a reason to bring you to such an awful place." He explained, reluctantly letting Alexander go but his worries still remained. He grabbed his own empty plate, adding it to the dishes in the sink. What would normally be an enjoyable task of tidying the house and heading out for the day while Alexander went to class only now seemed to get in the way of seeing his fiance again. Faybian wished he could just get back to this morning and convince Alexander to stay with him. "Of course, I don't mind, dear. And yes, I'll text you the moment I'm back home so we can go on the cafe date, I promise." He leaned into the gentle kiss "I love you more." He smiled softly, watching as Alexander left before tending to the house chores, his meeting with Lucider only looming closer and he desperately needed a distraction until then.

@Diavolo group

As Alexander started to work on his lab at school, his group members didn't end up being that bad. They interacted with him and ensured they did all their parts. It went so well that he could get their numbers and walk to their classes together. He was glad he was able to make new friends. The best thing is that they weren't all stuck-up men who were only there because they needed to fulfill a requirement. He smiled as he read the new group chat he was part of Luca, Emily, Daphne, and Richie. They were all texting where they should go for lunch, and he recommended a good place on campus with burgers, fries, and generally good fast food. They agreed and met up when they were free to have lunch.

"So Alex got any one that captures your eye?" Emily teased. Daphne lightly tapped Emily's arm to signal not to ask those questions. After watching their body movements and eventually asking, he learned that Emily and Daphne had been dating for the past three years, which was their whole college experience, which must've felt nice.

"U-Um, well, he messed with the right on his left hand. "I have a fiance already, but they don't attend this school. They finished college a year early, so he's living with me." He couldn't help but lie. He didn't know how else to explain why they were living together on the spot, and it was best to give them more information rather than them asking questions randomly."

"Oh…is that so? Look at you. Well, I'm curious. What's his name? Tell us about him." Luka wrapped his shoulder around Alex's shoulder, which caused him to jump a little bit. He wasn't used to other people touching him besides Faybain.

"His name is Faybian, and he's lovely. I have to share my location so he knows where to meet me later. We're supposed to go on a date at this cute cafe." He quickly dropped his location and a text saying he was eating with some friends and would join him when he was done with his affairs in hell. "You guys might meet him if he comes back from his meeting early." He then talked with his new friends more as he got to know them better.

@Fenrir

(oh if Faybian saw Luka now…:3)
"I told you you'd be back soon, Faybian." Luce purred, tilting his head as he observed Faybian from across the table. Faybian had changed into his best suit and summoned a portal to head back to Hell. Faybian shrugged, swirling the glass of whisky in his hand, "Not for the reasons you think Luce." He glanced up and met Luce's golden eyes, his own back to their smoky purple. The King of Hell laughed in intrigue and he straightened in his seat, ever the prideful ruler. Even in situations like these, he hated being wrong. It didn't escape faybian the subtle sound of ruffling feathers either, though they were currently out of sight. A sign of agitation from the king. Faybian's own wings twitched from where he had kept them hidden for the past year, stiff with unused. He shifted in his chair, only causing the king's signature grin to widen. "Tell me Angel, why are you here?" He asked, using his favorite little nickname for ones like them. Fallen ones. Angels in all aspects except in their ignorant blind devotion. Faybian shrugged off the comment and raised his left hand, showing the black band.
Lucifer's grin fell. "You expect me to be happy you married a human?" He deadpanned, all showiness and teasing comments suddenly gone and the room filled with a heavy viscosity that made Faybian's stomach twist with anxiety. "He was my contract. but things have changed." He tried to explain, hating so much how it sounded like he was begging. But wasn't he?
"I want to make a new deal…with you." He continued before the air suffocated him into silence.
By now Lucifer's eyes had gone crimson, their slitted pupils a dark black, reflecting the souls of which he ruled over. Faybian sometimes genuinely forgot the different sides of Lucifer Morningstar and how quickly those sides changed depending on the situation. Right now, Faybian wouldn't consider this a good one. "You expect me to make a deal on behalf of your human lover? Angel, have you forgotten who I am?" Luce asked, voice dripping with accusation and hatred. Faybian shook his head, his past resurfacing in his memory. He had been like Luce once. He had died out of spite for humanity, what good would he do as an angel? Why would he want to redeem souls who didn't deserve paradise to begin with? But now was different. He had fallen in love with one. And as pathetic as that may sound to Lucifer, Faybian had to try. "I have an offer you can't refuse." He slowly stood and offered his hand, whisps of purple smoke and the familiar sound of radio waves filling the air around them. "At the end of his life, promise me you'll let him leave Hell. Let him be an angel. It's what he deserves for loving me for a lifetime."
Lucifer arched an eyebrow, intrigued but not yet convinced. "and what do I also let you leave with him?"
Faybian hesitated before slowly shaking his head. "A demon made a human contract to fall in love with them. I don't deserve to be up there any more than when I first came to hell when I died." He said softly. "No, I won't follow. I'll stay down here. Do what you want with me. keep me as a lord or demote me to the lowest class. Whatever you feel necessary."
Luce's grin was back but this time there wasn't any true joy behind it. "You see where loving humans get you Faybian?" He shook his head in mock pity before grasping Faybian's hand and sealing the deal, Faybian's blood rushing in his ears as he felt all power slip away from his fingertips. "Until you or that human of yours dies, you remain human. then you're mine. What happens to the human is up to heaven."

@Diavolo group

(oh, what ever could you mean :0??? Nothing going on here ;)

He suddenly shivered down his spine and looked at his phone to see if Faybian had texted him back, but there was nothing. Alexander said he would be patient because this meeting was crucial, but he felt terrible about the whole thing. "Awwwwww, is someone missing their special someone?" Luca teased. "Come on, eat up. There's still so much we don't know about you, considering we just became friends. Do you have a job lined up after you get your doctorate?" He asked while taking one of Alexander's fries.

It took him a while to return to the conversation, "Huh? What? Oh, well, I already have a full-time job. However, I work from home, and they understand my classes, so I tend to do my work-related activities during the night while Faybian cooks dinner."

"Really? He cooks, too?" Daphne asked with excitement. "Oh my god, I could share some recipes with him. Well, if he's okay with it, you know." She took a bite out of her burger while Emily looked at her with eyes that matched how Faybian would look at Alexander. Something about the sight made his heart skip a beat. It made him miss Faybian, and even though they're usually apart for hours, this seemed a little different, maybe because there was a chance Faybian would be delivering bad news. "I make Emily try all my dishes, so I'll make a list and then send you the best ones."

"Thanks, I'm sure he would appreciate that." Alexander smiled and started to eat his food. He didn't even realize that Luca was periodically stealing his food. When he realized, he flicked Luca's forehead and moved his food and body further away. "Hey, hey, hey, this is my food. I have to eat something before I eat sweets for the rest of the day." He scowled while putting two fries in his mouth,

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Do you have a picture of his guy? How do we know you're not lying." Luca was half joking and half not. Daphne kicked Luca's leg under the table and made a face that said what-the-fuck-is-wrong-with-you.

Eager to show off his fiance, he pulled out his phone and opened his camera roll, only to find zero pictures of them together. Most pictures were just his homework assignments or other LBA experiment documentation. He felt his chest tight as he had to admit it. "I actually don't have any photos of him. It has been almost two years since he met Faybian in his sophomore year of college, and he has zero photos. His smile faded as he realized it was mostly his fault. Faybian was a demon who knew nothing about technology until a few months ago and still had no record of it. The only photo he had that was related to Faybian was the blood samples he had taken when they first met. He sighed

"Hey, ignore him. He's just being a jerk," Emily reiterated. "I'm sure your fiance is great; no need to prove it to someone you just met." Luca held up his hands in defense and draped his arm around Alexander, playfully shaking him to reassure him that he was kidding and didn't mean it.

(I smell the potentially for angst :D)

When the ringing subsided Faybian slowly let go of Lucifer's hand and blinked a few times. He felt aweful. Not necessarily sick but not himself anymore as if his skin didn't fit anymore. Then he knew why all of this felt familiar. He felt as when he had first died, not the powerful overlord, just a fallen angel who's heart was filled with betrayal and revenge. But now he was just a fallen angel, willing to shove all his selfishness aside for a human. Faybian almost laughed at the thought. He had turned down heaven to exact vengeance on the humans who had hurt him and now he was turning down hell in a way for a human he loved. Faybian wasn't sure how low he could go in terms of the hierarchy of hell besides hellborn but he was pretty sure he did. An angel with no place in heaven or hell, now that was new. He straightened the best he could and met Lucifer's gaze. He ignored the gold chains around his neck, tying his soul eternally to hell and to Lucifer. What remained of Faybian was Alexanders and that was more than enough for a lifetime. Luce jerked his head. "Well? Don't you have your human pet to get back to?" He asked all to sweetly as the room's air became breathable again. Faybian knew better than to answer or correct the king of hell after something like this. He grabbed his things and gave last glance to Lucifer before he dissapeared through the doors of his home and went back up to Earth for a lifetime with Alexander.
It took until he got back to the apartment for Faybian to remember that he had promised Alexander a cafe date. He cursed softly when he finally read the text and found the cafe spot on his map. "I'm on my way dear, I just got back." He quickly texted, quickly freshening himself up in the bathroom and changing into something a bit more casual. That's when he caught a gimpse of himself in the mirror. He looked…human. at least as human as he could get being from hell. His eyes still had a tinge of purple in them but were mostly charcoal grey irises. I supposed a way for other hell spawn to know his soul was now owned. The rest of him looked similar to his human form. Deep brown locks with shades of purple throughout. His skin had regained a bit more human tones rather than sickly pale and his features were softer, more lifelike than before. He slipped on a sweatshirt and slacks before quickly heading out the door. He could focus on what happened later when he and Alexander were alone. Right now he had made a promise to his fiance, one he wasn't going to pass up.

As Alexander sat alone in the cafe, waiting for Faybian, the ambiance shifted with the fading daylight. The bustling energy of the campus gradually waned as evening descended, casting a tranquil hush over the surroundings. He glanced at his phone intermittently, hoping for a message from Faybian to signal his impending arrival. Yet, as the minutes stretched into an anxious wait, Alexander couldn't help but feel disappointed. Finally, a text from Faybian illuminated his screen, offering reassurance amidst his mounting apprehension. He quickly texted back, Okay! I'll pick something up on the way home to eat today since you seem tired :) He drank the rest of his coffee and exited the cute little shop. It was pretty late to have coffee, but he didn't like tea, and he felt terrible ordering nothing when they had stayed open for so long. As he exited the campus, Alexander was greeted by the unexpected sight of Emily, emerging from the shadows like a beacon of familiarity. Her presence brought a welcomed distraction from his solitary thoughts, prompting Alexander to offer a friendly wave in greeting.

"Hey, you don't live on campus?" Emily asked as she approached, curiosity lacing her tone.

"No, I live in that apartment building," Alexander replied, gesturing towards the nearby brown structure. "I was hanging out with Daphne before this, but then I had to leave. It's still pretty dark around this time, and it's better to be safe than sorry."

"Oh yeah, how was your date?" Emily inquired, her interest piqued.

Alexander's expression softened as he recounted the evening's events. "Well, he was tired after his meeting and just got home not too long ago, so I offered to pick something up on the way. But now that I'm thinking about it, I don't know any good takeout spots. I don't go out as often as you might think."

Emily pondered momentarily before pulling out her phone and sending him a location. "This place has good KBBQ. It's a quick order, and I'm sure it won't be too crowded. They have fries, spicy chicken, and regular chicken if spicy isn't your fancy."

"Thanks," Alexander replied, grateful for the suggestion. "Looks like it's not too far from here either. That's good."

With a nod of acknowledgment, Emily bid him goodbye, and Alexander continued on his way to the chicken place. After picking up the order, he returned home, eager to share the meal with Faybian and enjoy the comforts of their shared space. "I'm home!" he called while leaning down to take off his shoes, making sure not to spill anything in the bag.

Faybian was about to slip some shoes on and half ran out the door to meet Alexander at the cafe despite how late it was but then got a text. He frowned slightly but responded. "Alright, Thank you dear. I'll see you back home soon, stay safe."
He pulled off his sweater and tidied up the house for a bit before heading back into the bedroom to change back into something more comfortable. He figured while he waited he'd start looking for jobs online, seeing as earning anything from hell wasn't going to be an option anymore and he didn't want Alexander being the only one providing for the both of them. Over the past few weeks, he had learned how to use the computer on a very minimal level, seeing as it was still very new to him but he had eventually learned how to do basic searches and navigate the wide world of the internet little by little. He settled into bed with his laptop and started searching for potential jobs, writing some down and saving the sites for later reference. While he wasn't keen on working for anyone since he hadn't lived long enough to garner any job after this education, he was determined to make a living here with Alexander, and that meant getting a job. But what Alexander had mentioned was true, he was tired, more than the other times he had come back from his visits to Hell. He was, for all intents and purposes a human now. A few minutes into his search, Faybian couldn't resist the pull of the warm bed and set aside his computer, promising himself he'd return to his search later after he took a quick nap. Curling up under the blankets and hugging Alexander's pillow to his body, Faybian fell asleep as soon his head rested against his pillow.
