(Lmao okay.)
Manni paused when he heard a scream, looking over his shoulder and scooting over to the edge of the building. The villian sat, still spinning the feathers in his hands.
"Interesting… arresting my villain. That's really cute." He laughed into a hand.
He darted down an alleyway, blood starting to seep through his costume. Fuck, that hurts. Can't be too bad though, right? He was not right. He started feeling dizzy halfway through the alley, and fell, without much strength to get up near the end of it. He could hear them behind him. "Stay there! Don't try anything."
No no no no no no no no no no no no no-
Manni watched with mild interest, but frowned. He didn't want his villian getting taken away, especially in unfair moments like this. Manni spun a feather between his fingers, leaning down and flinging a feather at the cop. It slit right through his uniform into the skin below.
He looked up, blinking. "Wha- what just-" He shuffled back slightly, as well as he could. "Oh no…" He muttered, a bit fearfully. "now thy're gonna come looking-" He tried to get up, before hissing and clutching his side. "Shit. Mom was right. I was going to do something stupid and end up dead in an alley." He hissed, laughing humorlessly.
Manni elegantly flipped down into the alley, rolling almost directly in front of the hero. "You look stuck," The man observed as the officer struggled for air on the ground behind him.
"No shit!" He snapped, the dizziness from before become really strong. He pressed a hand against his head, blinking hard to clear the black spots dancing in his vision. "…Is he going to die?" He asked, almost fearfully.
"That doesn't matter," Manni said, grabbing the hero in his arms. "I just need to get you out of here before you get taken away. You're too young to be doing this shit…"
"Why do you care?" He mumbled, looking away. He was very not used to physical contact. "'M link… ninety nine point nine percent sure we're about the same age, so whats that say 'bout you?" His eye lids were starting to feel kinda heavy…
((Sorry I'm on a drama kick))
(Lmao that's ok.)
Manni ignored the hero, hitching him higher on his shoulder. "Just you know that I could easily throw you off of this stupid building and let them catch you," Manni reminded as he walked somewhat faster to take off.
"Why aren't ya?" Alex murmured, eyes starting to slip closed. Weird, he wasn't this tired earlier…
Manni lashed his suddenly very light wings and launched off, rolling his eyes. "Whatever. Just stay still and don't die."
He stiffened once he realized they were in the air, screwing his eyes tight. "Ya don't gotta tell me twice…"
Manni hummed as he flew low to the roofs of the buildings, making wure neither were seen. Soon they were outside of the town, at a small cottage.
"Where are we?" He muttered, blinking slowly. He shifted slightly, moving to cover one of his injuries, just remembering that maybeeeeeeeeeeeee that would help. Yeah, he wasn't good at not being stupid. ((Mood))
He ignored the hero and took him inside, tossing him on a couch near a blinded window. He turned to a cramped little corner, which held a mini-fridge and what looked like a melting pot. He messed around in the fridge, then grabbed out a purple vile.
He hissed slightly, looking up. "What's that?" He asked, a bit childishly.
"It's something that'll close up your wounds. Sit up," The man said, shaking it and opening the vile. It smelled sweet, like a piece of caramel.
He pushed himself up, wincing. "Okay, okay, fine, doc." He took a deep breath through his nose, taking in the sweet smell. "Smells ((like teen spirit)) familiar…"
"Just drink the damn thing," Manni said, his wings quivering indignantly.
He took the vial, taking a sip. It was sweet, like a milkshake. He smiled faintly.
Manni trotted into another room, shedding off his heavy coat and throwing on a sweater, where his wings popped out of the slits. He walked back into the first room, looking down at the boy.
"It'll start to hurt."
"Okayyy-shit!" He hissed, putting a hand over the wound. "Okay, wow… one two three breath, no different from stitches fuck." He muttered, taking a deep breath. "Thanks…"
"You're welcome. But that burning sensation is of the wound healing over. So don't cut yourself, or it'll heal super fast." Manni plopped down at a rickety little table, covered in papers.
He nodded, pulling his hand away. "It's that obvious that I know nothing about healing potions?" He asked, in a very bad attempt at a joke.
Manni rolled his eyes and picked up a book, off of what looked like eviction notices. "Yeah, it's pretty obvious."
"Figured." He admitted, picking at his nails awkwardly. "Ummmm…"
Manni went to reading, sighing softly. "So, this place is kind of small, but you can find a place to sleep."
"Thanks." He mumbled, awkwardness just dawning on him. "Uhhhh… nice place, by the way…?"
"It's not, but thanks," Manni grumbled, hoisting his feet up on the chair with a sigh. "It's awful."
"O…kay?" He was starting to remember why he avoided socializing like the the plague.
