Akuma smirks. "That's not what I meant. . . I meant you'll obey me. But either way you agreed, not knowing what was really meant - so now I own you."

Sam places her hands on her hips, laughing softly, “Oh, you weren’t clear enough darling, I said I’ll listen, hear what you have to say, never that I’ll actually do it. You have to be clear when making a deal.”

Akuma tilts her head. "I was clear. You should have known."

Sam shrugs, “No, you just said I have to listen. You never said listen and obey or whatever. The direct definition from the dictionary of the word listen is to give one's attention to a sound. Or something like that. So. . . You know. . .” She shrugs again.

Akuma sighs. "You're a fucking smartass, aren't you?"

“Yup.” Sam laughs, “Deals are very specific to word choice, Akuma.”

Akuma's lips pull back into a snarl. "I'll have my way."

“Look, if you want me to listen to you, just try being a little nicer to me and try asking instead of demanding. I may like pain, but that does not mean I like someone being rude to me and disrespecting me.”
