Eve laughed. "Tell me about it," she mumbled, her lips already a bit pink from the kissing.

Rowan wanted to stay close to Eve, touch starved and definitely enjoying her company. The movie was completely out of his mind by now, and he was still a bit jittery.

Eve grinned and leaned back in, a gentle kiss turning a bit more heated.

Rowan was glad to kiss back, but he allowed Eve to take the lead. He found himself being pushed back a bit, with Eve slightly forward and above him.

Eve couldn't help herself as she tugged his bottom lip with her teeth on an impulse. She wasn't sure what Rowan had already experience, but she certainly didn't want to make him uncomfortable.

Rowan was definitely a bit startled, but tried not to make it obvious. He honestly had barely any experience at all with this sort of thing, which was partially why he was letting Eve lead. He was very flushed and not entirely sure what he was supposed to do, but he seemed more confused than upset.

Eve pulled away to judge his reaction and quickly became worried. "Are you alright? I'm sorry."

"Y-Yeah! I'm fine, I just… wasn't expecting that." Rowan laughed breathlessly, still very red and flustered. "I'm fine, I promise."

Eve smiled, but she seemed hesitant to even kiss him again. "I don't want to make you uncomfortable."

"I promise I'm okay. I'm just… not super experienced." Rowan smiled sheepishly, clearly a bit embarrassed. "I haven't really done stuff like this before…"

"Really?" Eve asked gently. "A handsome guy like you. No girlfriends? No boyfriends?"

Rowan flushed more as he shook his head. "Not really… I mean, I dated one guy for about a week in high school, but he was a jerk, so I broke up with him." He laughed nervously. "Never even kissed him though, so I dunno if he really counts as 'experience'."

Eve smiled reassuringly, tracing her fingers gently around the edge of his face. "Darling, that's completely fine. But by those standards, I would most likely be considered a whore…"

"Ah, y-you're not… that." Rowan replied awkwardly, not entirely sure what to say. "I-I mean… my parents are super strict, so that's a big reason why I have no experience. They didn't even know about that guy."

Eve noted his hesitance and mentally berated herself. "Sorry, words come faster than thoughts," she apologized. "But not dating is perfectly okay. We've all been there."

"Yeah… I'm always just worried that my parents will hate whoever I date." Rowan laughed nervously. "Not only because it would be bad for me, but I don't want my parents being awful to whoever my partner is…"

Eve tilted her head and smiled knowingly. "I've been treated worse than shit. If this works out and I do meet your parents, trust me… I could take it."

"R-Right… yeah." Rowan sighed softly and kissed Eve on the cheek again. "I just don't want anybody else to have to deal with them, you know?"

Eve blushed and scooted closer to Rowan. "Yes, but…" Her eyes flashed mischievously. "I do adore a challenge."

Rowan flushed as well when Eve came closer, some of his hair tumbling into his face as he shifted. "Well… m-maybe they would like you since you're a dancer too?"

"Maybe," she murmured, gently brushing aside Rowan's hair. "And if they don't…" She leaned in closely, letting her warm exhales fall on his lips. "I don't care."

Rowan shuddered a bit, leaning back and looking up at Eve meekly. "Um… it would definitely be better if they didn't pitch a fit about it though, yeah?"

Eve smiled briefly and let her eyes drop down his face, but she didn't come any closer since he backed up. "Yeah."

"Just wish I wasn't so scared of them… feels stupid, right? I'm a grown man scared of his parents." Rowan laughed weakly. "I don't really feel like a man. I'm still like a stupid teenager, worried ill get grounded if I step out of line."

"It's not stupid. That's like saying a fear of spiders is stupid, or a fear of heights is stupid. Fears are valid," Eve murmured, looking into his eyes as the conversation got serious.

Rowan shrugged and looked away. "I dunno… it just seems silly to be afraid of them, doesn't it? They shouldn't have this kind of power over me anymore."

"Hey," Eve said quietly. She gently took his chin and turned his head to look at her again. "No, it isn't," she murmured. "And if you're so worried about the power they have, just take it back. You're on your own now. You make your own choices."

Rowan looked up at Eve weakly and offered her an obviously fake smile. "You make it sound so easy. You're a lot stronger than I am, Eve. I've just been sitting and hoping they would give it up, but I know that isn't ever going to happen…"

Eve couldn't help but laugh. "No, I just look it. I'm really not strong at all."

"I think you're pretty strong… I'm just weak. I'm only confident when I'm dancing, and I'm pathetic when it comes to anything else." Rowan laughed weakly and lay his head back against the couch.
