"Trust me, most gods are really against what he did."

Nix nodded a bit. "Mm… that's good to hear, I guess… how many other gods are there?" He asked curiously.

"Nine big ones in total," Derlik said.
"And… a metric ton worth of minor gods like Zachary."

Nix nodded a bit. "Miss Serna said something about maybe setting me up with a minor god…"

"Mm… yeah, that makes sense…" Derlik sounded just a touch down about this.

"I dunno, though… hopefully I'll find someone of my own accord, you know? I'm… I'm a person now, so I gotta be able to make some decisions.

"Mhm. That's very true. I'm sure she justs want to make sure you don't end up with anyone bad." Like me.

"Yeah… miss Serna likes to look out for me." Nix sighed softly. "Hopefully I'll find somebody soon… I get really sad when I'm alone."

"Well, I'll stay here until you do so you don't have to be lonely. How does that sound?" Derlik offered a gentle smile. Maybe Nix might even pick him as a partner.

Nix nodded a bit and huddled up against Derlik's chest. "That sounds good to me… uhm… t-thanks…"

"You're welcome…" Derlik lightly kissed the top of Nix's head.
"I'll enjoy it."

Nix purred softly and nodded again. "Y-Yeah… me too. We'll have to enjoy the time we have here before we're forced to live with Halm."

"Then let's make the most of our time. I'm going to do my best to distract you from it, just for a bit, okay?" Derlik offered a weak smile.

"Okay… how're you gonna do that?" Nix asked curiously, trying to put Halm out of his mind entirely.

"Well, we could go up to the human world for a bit. We wouldn't have to interact with anyone, but we could do things up there if you'd like." Derlik hummed as he thought.

"I guess… the only time I've been up there as a person was when we killed Cas's ex boyfriend…"

Derlik fell quiet a moment.
"I see…" He titled his head some.
"So, I'm to take it going would be a bad idea?"

Nix shrugged a bit. "I dunno… people up there aren't really used to people like me. Another time I went up, a weird guy and a group of his friends tried to rape me…"

"Well, there are places we could go that don't have other people, if you want." Derlik looked away at the mention of the men.
"Bastards…"

Nix nodded and sighed softly. "He had a bunch of pictures of girls in his room, but they had weird proportions and didn't really look like real people… and… he wanted us to watch something called 'hentai' with 'people like me' in it."

Derlik shook his head some.
"It's impossible for people like that to see the difference between reality and their fantasies. I'm sorry you had to deal with him."

"Mm…" Nix huddled closer to Derlik. "He wanted to take pictures of me once he found out that my ears and tail were real."

"I…" Derlik shook his head again.
"I'm sorry you had to deal with that man," he said softly.

Nix shrugged and yawned a bit, curling in on himself more. "It's not your fault… thankfully, Halm came in and stopped them before they could really do much."
