"He really doesn't," Serna said softly. "Lucas, he… he's a good man." Serna shook her head a bit. She hated this.
"He really doesn't," Serna said softly. "Lucas, he… he's a good man." Serna shook her head a bit. She hated this.
"Maybe I could talk to him sometime… hopefully not because he's here for some injury she gave him."
"Maybe someday…" Serna let out a soft breath. "I'm so sorry," she said again softly.
"It's not your fault, miss Serna… you were taking care of Nix. Is he okay, by the way?" Nix nodded a bit.
Serna nodded as well. "He's all better," she assured.
"That's good…" Cas sighed softly. "What should we do now that everyone's all situated?" He asked.
Serna thought a moment.
"I don't know," she admitted, holding Nix close.
Cas hummed softly to himself and buried his face in Zachary's shoulder again. "Well, what time is it?"
"It's about four," Serna said. Zachary held Cas close, but his grip loosened just slightly.
"Okay, um… I'm not sure, then. Maybe Zachary and I can do another puzzle?" He shrugged a bit.
"Okay then. Do you want me to grab one for you?" Serna stood, holding Nix in her arms.
"Yes, please…" Nix nuzzled against Serna affectionately when she lifted him, yawning a bit.
Serna gently rubbed Nix's back, resting her head on his. She nodded to call, moving over to the bedroom to get the a puzzle for Cas and Zachary.
Nix quietly helped Serna pick out a nice puzzle for Cas and Zachary. "Do you think that they would like this one?"
Serna looked at the puzzle, making sure it was small enough.
"I think it would be," she agreed.
Nix nodded a bit and huddled up against Serna again. "Alright… I hope they like it." He fiddled with a couple strands of his hair.
"I'm sure they will," Serna said. She rubbed Nix's back with her thumb as she carried him and the puzzle to Zachary and Cas. Zachary had already brought Cas to the table, still placing light kisses on his head.
Cas looked up when Serna and Nix returned, examining the puzzle curiously when it was set down. "Thank you, miss Serna…"
"You're welcome," Serna said softly. "Nix was the one who picked it out." Zachary looked at the puzzle as well.
"Thansh you," he said. Serna nodded a bit.
"We'll have to keep working on your k's and hard c's," she noted.
Cas nodded a bit, kissed Zachary's cheek, and lifted up the lid of the puzzle box. He carefully poured the pieces onto the table and got to work.
Zachary leaned into the kiss, picking up a few pieces as he worked with Cas.
Cas hummed contentedly as he continued, sticking the pieces together whenever he found ones that matched. Nix huddled a little closer to Serna.
Zachary smiled softly. Things had calmed down again. He kissed Cas's cheek lightly, connecting his small group of pieces to Cas's. BSerna moved back to the living room. She ran her fingers through his hair, humming softly.
Cas smiled gently when Zachary connected their pieces together. He hummed a bit as he gathered a few more. Nix leaned into Serna's hand with a weak purr.
Zachary smiled as well. He nuzzled Cas's cheek a bit with his nose, humming faintly.
"How are you doing?" Serna asked.
"M'alright… better now that the sick is gone." Nix smiled weakly and nuzzled against Serna, curling his tail around himself.
"I'm glad." Serna smiled gently, rubbing Nix's back.
"I'm doing my best to help you all…"
"I think you're doing a pretty good job… when can I meet the minor gods?" He asked curiously. "Since I feel better now and all…"
"Well, I can talk to them soon. I'm sure you'll be able to find someone nice." Serna offered a gentle smile.
"Mmkay." Nix yawned a bit and rested his head on Serna's shoulder. "How many do you think you'll be able to get ahold of?" He asked.
