Hello! This is a very, very serious one-on-one storyline that only those willing to commit to a detailed story should look into. Whether or not things like romance will come into play will be decided later. If you happen to be interested, please read on for details!
(Hint: This storyline has to do with magic; however, I wouldn’t say it’s heavily fantasy based. You’ll see what I mean if you look a tad further!)

Brief/Important Description:
The world is full of magic.
Not the magic that humans are used to—the type performed by cheap, flashy, card-wielding “professionals” on the streets—but actual magic, the kind that’s backed by ethereal forces. There are three types. The first type comes from Heaven (known properly as Heavenloche) and is performed by what many humans have nicknamed “angels” (angeleyl, in actuality). The second comes from Hell (known properly as Heavenfell; otherwise known as “those that fell out of Heavenloche”) and is performed by “demons” (the deylfell). The third comes from the wellspring humans have dubbed Purgatory (known properly as Weiside, or “the residence of the dead”) and is performed by human spirits that have escaped/possessed young human offspring.
These three sources of powerful magic have kept the planet Earth functioning behind the veil for years.
And then, in the year 20XX, something changed.

(To anyone religious looking at this role play in horror, I apologize. I do not mean to imply that any of this is real. It’s simply for fun.)

I just realized something a bit unfair—if you have a certain character that doesn’t have powers already/is part of a species, then I suppose we could discuss using them.

Ooh, could I play any side characters? Since it seems you already have your foreplay partner!

VictoryOchre

Hello, both of you! I’m thrilled that you’re both interested. I was originally only accepting one person—one main partner—but would you be opposed to having someone read this and play side characters, Iris?

VictoryOchre

Also, do you have any questions? I’m in an area of spotty WiFi, so I can’t send the plot yet, but I can answer some questions about the magic or the three places.

VictoryOchre

So I won’t reveal all of the details of the plot (especially the end) now because I do wish for there to be a slight element of surprise to this whole thing, but I was hoping that something like the following would be fun. Tell me what you think!

“One of our characters is an Angeleyl; the other is a Deylfell. They are quite set into their lives of daily mischief and miracles until they each suddenly receive word from their respective magical locations about what’s been deemed an emergency. Clever spirits have escaped from Weiside since humanity was brought into existence, but never before has anything else come out with them. That is, until November 8th, 20XX.

Everything seems to go wrong within a week. Entire cities run out of power; brand new cars blow up on the highway; floods ravage small towns; fires suddenly start and transform bakeries, forests, markets, and small islands to ashes. Both Heavenloche and Heavenfell are so panicked that they send out investigators to terminate the source of the problem.

That’s where our characters come into play. In a series of problematic, surprising events, they’re forced to work together. If they don’t, the world they belong to—the planet Earth—may come to an explosive end.”

I rather want my character to be an Angeleyl, if you don’t mind. I have a whole idea of who they should be, but if you don’t feel comfortable with yours playing the Deylfell then you can always tell me! Just keep in mind that, although the Deylfell may sound scary, they’re not necessarily cruel or mean in anyway.

By the way, here’s a bit more info about both!

Angeleyl

  • Strengths- They’re generally good with human beings, although they often tend to avoid directly getting involved in human affairs (they don’t like to be seen); most are patient and have an eye for helping the unfortunate
  • Weaknesses- Because they did not Fall, they see themselves as superior beings and often overestimate their abilities; they are also quite prejudiced; they are good in battle, but are not so good at letting go of the past
  • Extra- Their wings are in colorful yet more relaxed shades, like rose gold, auburn, tawny, etc.
  • IMPORTANT- All Angeleyl will have one type of magic and one identifying feature (like freckles in constellations or glowing fingertips)

Deylfell

  • Strengths- They are very smart, and a lot are less “evil” and more just thoroughly curious beings; in terms of magic, they are very powerful; many have a certain style that makes them interesting, whether it be in terms of fashion or hobbies
  • Weaknesses- Many are still upset about their Fall (even though many won’t talk about it as a bad thing); some can unintentionally come off as harsh people; quite a few are also prejudiced towards the Angeleyl cause they see themselves as more knowledgeable; teamwork usually isn’t their strong suit
  • Extra- All of the Fallen have charred wings, meaning that they may or may not be able to fly; they Fall when they involve themselves in certain sinful acts (anything ranging from using forbidden magic to hurting human beings unnecessarily to stirring up havoc in Heavenloche)
  • IMPORTANT- All Deylfell will have the opposite type of magic that they did when they were an Angeleyl (meaning if they used to have nature powers, they’ll now only be able to use fire magic; if they had healing, they can now only cause sickness) and their identifying mark will be messed up, too (if they had golden, glowing tattoos, then those markings would now be inky black)

I’m so sorry for this information dump! Feel free to save chunks as you please or ask questions!

VictoryOchre

I don’t mean to bother you at all, Iris, but I wanted to ask how frequently you think you’d be able to respond for this particular storyline. I myself feel as if I can respond quite a lot in one day, but I know not everybody can (and that’s perfectly fine!)

@Painted-Iris group

(It varies from day to day and I'm most likely going to be on the most during weekdays.)
(Thinking about it now, I think @Reed might be better full time due to occasional lack of motivation writing.)

VictoryOchre

Oh, I see. I’m sorry to hear that, my friend! I hope dearly that you have a lovely day, then, and wish you the best in your future endeavors!

@Reed are you okay with taking their place? I understand all of the specifics and details of this whole thing might be a bit… much, so I understand if that’s not a commitment you’re willing to make. If you like what you see, though, I’d be glad to help you with any questions you have!

VictoryOchre

I’m going to leave this open just in case anyone comes by and decides they want to take a look! Hope that’s alright!

VictoryOchre

I think I’m going on leave this open for the rest of the day. If no one responds, I might see if I can restart it in the fantasy category. I just would like to get things running as fast as I can.

Deleted user

Erm, honestly, id prefer to just work with side characters. But I can do the main, I'm just not very good with character forms.

VictoryOchre

It’s ok! I think I already started it up again in a different role play section, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. Sorry about all this :)
