Proper defense. Those words stuck in her like a knife. Maybe he does know.. She thought to herself, damn his hair is soft Kiera gave a short cough "I need to be honest with you." Nows the time to just flat out tell him. If you want to have friends, you need to be honest Ki She thought again. "I'm not actually a secretary. But you already knew that. I know you didn't walk away. You were curious. And you watched me walk into the station." She told him, "You're not as sly as you think Dustin."

"Oh?" he raised an eyebrow, having got his coffee and holding it his hands before taking a long dramatic sip and seting it down.
he snorted when she said that he was curious and waited afterwards. "I knew the whole walk, I heard you talking to yourself in the alley way before starting to talk to you, i just decide to pretend like i didnt here anything, but yes. I id stay afterwards because I knew it wasnt your office building." For someone who says you shouldnt care so much about stranger he sure did care a lot about what happened to her. another dramatically long and loud sip of coffee
"Your not as sly as you think, but im sure you already know that." He looked around the shop.
"So whats your rank? how high up are you?" the questions slipped out before he could stop them.

@Red-Is-Going-To-Be-Off-For-Awhile group

"Detective." She sighed, "I'm high up, just not where I'd like to be. They have me do undercover ops but to be honest, I always blow my cover. Like now." She gave a small smile, "Trust me, I don't need to be sly around you. Especially when you are going to shut your mouth and let me in." Kiera knew exactly who dustin was. She wasn't dumb. She could tell by the mannerisms, the clothing, the expressions. "So I have a plan."

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

He frowned, of course she knew. He was dumb for thinking she didnt know and he could just have her think he was some low level gang hoodie.
"As if i would, I havent let anyone in. The only person i ever did let in, was my mother." It was almost as if he was challenging her to try and butt in.
"Oh? and what's this plan of yours?" he was a bit more ice like, his voice a bit sharper.

@Red-Is-Going-To-Be-Off-For-Awhile group

"You will let me in. I will help you guys evade the police even more." She said, her voice lowered. "If you let me in I can help you. I wont sell any of you out. The station is more so looking to get rid of your rival. The Blood Skulls. We aren't looking at you guys yet." Kiera sighed, looking at him, making pure eye contact, "But i understand if you dont want a cop in the party. It's typical of you guys thinking that most cops will rat you out." She stood up. "Text me once you've though about it."

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

oh. she meant that kind of let in. It almost made him a bit embarrsed about the mom comment.
"I see, and what will you when your boss starts looking into us?" he asked raising a brow at her, his face completely stotic. He took his last and final drink of the coffee before leaving the porclain mug on the table for the staff. he pt his scone in a box and stood up as well.
"I will think about it, i cant garuntee i will text you about it though."

@Red-Is-Going-To-Be-Off-For-Awhile group

"I'm not forcing you to." She said, "When it comes down to it, I can lie very well." Ki looked at him, she desperately needed this. "Trust me or not, we aren't after you guys yet. You are more strategic about your plays, the skulls on the other hand, arent. We're trying to deal with the messes they make. You dont leave messes." And with that Kiera left the cafe and let him think about his next move.

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

He watched as she spoke, then as she left and he sighed puttng a hand to his face and rubbing the bridge of his nose. I can never get away from buisness deals can i? he was had come here to maybe 'hang out' but he wouldnt get that chance and he should have known so sooner.
He waitied till she was out of sight before going back to base in a bad mood blazing his path not caring who he bumped into and just plopping down in his chair when he got back.

Kiera felt bad as she walked home. She lead this man to believe that she wanted to hang out, but yet she made him a business deal. As she walked in the door to the house her aunt started yelling at her, telling her she should've been home earlier. But Ki went straight up to her room and locked the door. I need to fix this, I really wanted to hang out with him, but I let my job take over. she thought as she plopped onto her bed. She kicked her shoes off and stared at the ceiling, he was very attractive though Shut up Ki, you cant think that, hes a gang leader, a man of no emotion.. The next thin Kiera did was shut her eyes, and fall asleep.

He sighed, checking his phone for the 30th time that night. He kept leaning over and checking it, he didn't know why but for some reason he kept expecting a text.
He shouldnt be, there was no promise of her texting him. Why would she text him? He shouldn't be wanting or expecting a apology or just something from her saying she actually wanted to hang out. He chided himself every time he checked it. He needed to stop.
She was just a business partner, nothing more.
He had thought about the deal through out the whole night, staying up pulling another all night and inhaling another cup of black coffee, a bit of honey in it this time. He had texted her around 2-3am, she was probably asleep so why he kept checking his phone he didn't know.
He glanced at his watch, 6:30 am it wasnt as early as he thought it was. He rubbed his tired eyes, bags already appearing under his eyes. He signed off the last of the paper work and set it in his drawer of never ending papers. He had to sort out the last disaster, he had just wanted a quick exchange but he wanted to give Dustin a headache and say that he would turn him in and so he had to do what was necessary. It was a sloppy job but he had to leave time to clean up.
He got up stretching his arms, he walked over to his closet and got out a pair of jogging clothes.
He got changed, sweatpants and a sleeveless shirt. He left the building and began jogging.

Kiera woke up before her alarm at 6:30. About three hours until she had work. She still felt bad about last night. So she grabbed her phone and saw the notification of his text. She texted him back 'Sorry. I let work get in the way of me actually wanting to hang out. I get it if you hate my guts now. Wouldn't surprise me. Anyways feel free to block my number or anything. And you can forget about my plans.' She sent the text and then got ready for work. Ki felt that she needed to go in early today. So she quietly left the house and made her way to the station. Her brain was full. Ki actually messed up her only chance at a friend. "God I feel terrible." She muttered on the empty sidewalk. Most of the time the sidewalk and street were empty at this time. It felt nice to have some space. But she wanted Dustin here. To keep her company. You need to stop thinking about him Ki. She thought as she entered the cafe to get a small coffee for the day.

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

He looked way too fast and eager at his phone when his phone went off.
'Sorry. I let work get in the way of me actually wanting to hang out. I get it if you hate my guts now. Wouldn't surprise me. Anyways feel free to block my number or anything. And you can forget about my plans.'
Now she was cancelling there plans? what was with this girl? He shook his head with a huff.
There you go assuming things again, i'm not going to block your number.' He shut off his phone and stuck it in his pocket, holding back from texting her anything else.
Even though he hated how he wanted too.
He slowed his jog to just a walk and stopped inside the cafe, he walked into the cafe and got in line behind someone he thought looked similar too Ki.
Stop. shes either at her job,or at home most likely asleep.

(coughs The Kuudere is quiet like the Dandere but is cold and cynical. Kuu comes from the Japanese pronunciation of the English world “cool”. The Kuudere rarely shows a caring side even to their love interest. They don’t really care what happens to everyone else including their love interest on the outside, but care on the inside.)

@Red-Is-Going-To-Be-Off-For-Awhile group

Ki heard another person walk in. As she looked down at her phone to look at the time, a notif showed up. 'there you go assuming things again, im not going to block your number,' She gave a slight smile at this, STOP. you need to stop thinking about him. She texted back, 'I really am sorry. Can I make it up to you somehow?' With that she put her phone away and ordered. After that she sat down near the window, watching people walk by. *You know, he probably hates you now. She thought again. Her mind racing she pulled out her pen and gave it a few puffs before putting it away. why do I care about him so much? she wondered as she stared out the window.

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

He pulled out his phone, again feeling way to excited and happy that she texted back.
'I really am sorry. Can I make it up to you somehow?' She had texted, but he saw the person infront of him pull out then put there phone away. He looked over there shoulder since they were quite short and realized that didnt just look like her.
itwas her, and she hadnt even noticed him, probably because of his super casual attire.
He looked down at his phone once more after ordering a cinnamon vanila latte and a blueberry muffin.
'how about pay more attention your surrodings.' he sent that and leaned on the counter out of the way of the line and stared directly at her while waiting for his stuff.

@Red-Is-Going-To-Be-Off-For-Awhile group

Ki looked at her phone and then looked around, stalker much? she thought to herself, only as a joke. She walked over to him, "Whatcha doing Dus? Look you have no idea how terrible I feel about last night." Ki fidgetted with her pen as she spoke to him Damn he even looks attractive right now too…

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

He did have his muscles out, wearing a sleeveless shirt but didnt think that he had that much muscle and he was sweatin so his hair stuck to him a little bit. He watched her as she walked over to him.
"Just waiting on the things I ordered." He looked down at her fidgeting. was she nervous?
"Oh? why do you feel so horribly terrible?" he was being dead sarcastic. "I figured it would end up being a buisness deal, I dont usually get random people wanting to be my friend without wanting something from me or who I am." He sighed.
"I dont expect you to lie to me and claim you still wanna be friends unless you can tell me you actually want to be friends while staring me in the eyes. The truth. I hate lying."

@Red-Is-Going-To-Be-Off-For-Awhile group

She looked him dead in the eye, "Honest to god Dustin. I feel like shit. I really messed up my chances at have a friend. I get it. You probably dont trust me. But I want to be your friend." Kiera stopped fidgeting as she looked at him, "Look if you want me to be honest, then forget about my plan. I just want to be your friend. Someone you can talk to." Kiera dropped her gaze and went back to fidgeting. I keep making this worse, stop talking Ki. Of course you want to be his friend. You want to help him. and if he does want your help well then you'll find another way in. She told herself. She grabbed her latte and went back to him. "I really do want to fix things."

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

He stared down at her as she spoke staring directly in the eyes. He sighed, as her words were spoken and he looked at her the whole time. He didnt enjoy seeing her upset, he just wanted to make sure she was telling the absolute truth and he looked like a jerk while doing it.
"It was a good plan, just horrible timing." he went to grab his latte before returning back to her. She seemed to b honest, not many could look him deadset in the eyes and lie.
"If im being honest i have never had a real friend." he said quietly then immediatley taking a sip right after he said so.

@Red-Is-Going-To-Be-Off-For-Awhile group

She gave him a small smile, "then why not have one now?" Was this considered fixing things? "Its been a while since I've had a friend. Probably been three or four years." Ki looked at him, her nerves fading. "You're oddly comforting to me." Kiera told him. If I want a friend, I have to be honest. That wont be hard anyways, your 99.99% honest Ki "Do you want to continue talking?" She asked him, she needed a yes or no answer. And with the way she felt around him, she hoped he would say yes.
