(Sorry for the wait, I was on vacation :)
"Ah, yes, your lovely face. How I love to stare at it." August said in an overly dramatic voice. It was true that the man was very handsome. It was just a shame he was absolutely insufferable. "Yes, I swear I won't do anything. No slipping into shadows, I promise." August raised his hands as much as he could in surrender, all the while giving the man a slightly flirty grin. Just because he was annoying didn't mean August couldn't have a little fun with him. He wasn't really expecting the man to give him anything useful even if he did pick the right hand. And yet, not only did he pick the right one, the man actually gave him something good. A vial of Salva. August didn't really need free Salva, but it was free. He'd take free anything. "Maybe it's because I'm locked up in a hospital. You know, that would make someone feel a little bouncy." August opened the vial and downed the Salva as quickly as he could. It was a little weird that this guy, who had never needed anything to do with the drug, had it on him. Unless he was secretly addicted to it, which would actually be really funny. "Speaking of relaxing… I'm finding it very hard to, what with the handcuffs and the stress and all that. I don't suppose you know anything that could help calm me down?" August asked, smirking ever-so-slightly at him.

@knightinadream group

Should he or should he not? The question left him in a deep state of pondering. Running his fingers through his hair, Janus started to pace around the hospital room. Supposing he could take the cuffs off then he wouldn't have to hear this fool keep pestering him about them. On the other hand, he has the gut feeling that it will only lead to more trouble happening. Then again, would someone who just got knocked out really do anything while still needing rest and time at a hospital? Probably not. Well, all he could do is actually do something and see how it goes. Oh how he hates the fact.

Stopping in his tracks, he turned his neck to look over at August. Janus tilted his head at the sight of the grin that he was given. A look of puzzlement swept across his face as he reluctantly decided to go back over and sit down at the side. His lower lip curled back as he looked up at the ceiling, thinking about August's statement on hospitals making people bouncy. Glimpsing over, he shook his head. "Does it really though?" He asked. "I am sure there are other reasons why someone would be all over the place in a hospital. Anything can happen if you let it."

That smirk. How he was beginning to despise it if he hadn't already. Throwing in the towel is something that he also despises too, but perhaps it is time he does. Slowly, he took a deep breath to release any tension that was stirring in him. Reaching into his pant pocket, Janus took out the key to the cuffs and used them to release August. Then he took the handcuffs and set them off to the side. "If that's what you need to calm down, you better shut up too. I am not helping you calm down."

"Oh, really. Why don't you let me hear a few, hmm?" August asked, tossing the vial at the man. He had no interest in anything he had to say, but he was hoping to keep him occupied with stupid questions so that he could recover enough to get out of there. First, he'd have to convince June to take a bite out of his handcuffs. That was arguably the most difficult step, as June seemed very against listening to him half the time. August was pondering ways of convincing it to help him when the man pulled a key from his pocket. Oh, wow, he was actually listening to him? Okay, the first step was already passed. Perfect. Now he just had to disappear into shadows–and since he no longer had the medallion on him, he probably wouldn't be stopped–and get out of there as fast as possible. Then he just had to make it into his part of town and he'd probably be fine. Lying low for a while wasn't avoidable, but he'd stockpiled enough money to last him if he made smart choices. August made a face at the man, rubbing his wrists with exaggerated care. "So, I know you just said to shut up, but I'd at least like to know the name of my most annoying, handsome captor first. So, what's your name?" Hopefully, that would distract the man enough for August to make a break for it. He wasn't a fan of getting his bones crushed, so he'd have to be quick.

@knightinadream group

"Wouldn't you like to know?" He grumbled. Regret started to overcome him the moment he sat the cuffs down. Catching the vile thrown at him, he held it. Was taking the cuffs off really worth it? Janus knows too damn well that this thief is just going to cause more trouble for the both of them then try to disappear. Perhaps it would be best if it just happened, that way he won't have to talk to this guy anymore. And yet, at the same time, he feels defeated in whatever kind of battle dynamic is going on between them. He absolutely hates it. "I really do not want to waste both of our time, but if you really want, you can continue being a fool."

A flash of irritation rushed through him. Janus took a deep breath while running his fingers through his hair. There really isn't any point in getting frustrated over this August guy. Really, there isn't a single one. Even though this fool is suppose to be the "other" prophet, he could care less if he does not see him ever again after this moment. Besides, he gets to go home too. Anything cannot be better than being by himself in his nice warm apartment. It is impossible.

Biting his bottom lip, he looked up at August. His name? What's the point in this thief knowing his name? The sound of the vile breaking in his hand stirred his attention. Forcefully, he loosened his grip then placed it next to the cuffs. He rubbed his hands against his thighs before clasping them together. Staring back at the thief, he responded with, "Janus Nyilas, happy?"

"Really, who would everyone react if they knew this was the way you're treating a chosen one of Caelestum?" August asked, raising his eyebrows. "Granted, you are one as well, but I would think you'd forgive the whole stealing-that-medallion thing. Maybe give me a lot of money?" He laughed. "And I will continue to be a fool, thank you very much." August crossed his arms over his chest, relishing the fact that he could do that. "Huh, Janus Nyilas? That's a rather fitting name for you. Suits your, uh," August waved at the man, "whatever you have going on there." He glanced towards the window, but it was shut tight. That wasn't very fun. Guess he'd have to use the door after all. August was yet again grateful that doors had a little crack at the bottom. It made stealing in and out of places so much easier. "Well, I suppose I should return the favor. I know you already know my name, but I haven't told you it, so it doesn't count. I'm August de Soleil." August gave Janus the most blinding smile he could muster before dissolving into shadow. It wasn't all that useful for hiding in this brightly lit room. But he wasn't trying to hide. He was making a run for it. August quickly slipped to the door and slid under it. He just had to hope this hospital wasn't a maze.

@knightinadream group

Janus scoffed listening to August. The fool sure does have a lot to say; it is more than clear to him, sadly. "Does it really matter how everyone else would react?" He mumbled to himself. The police really do not care what he does since they're all paid by his father. Of course there's the priests he's more worried about. His mother would scold him just for treating someone else like this.

With a shake of his head, he rolled his eyes. Hopefully he will have no regrets in telling August his name. They are already connected since they're both chosen ones of Caelestum. Knowing names is just the beginning.

"I suppose I could forgive you, but why would I give you money when you're just going to try to steal from someone else again?" He asked while getting up. "Are you going to go back to stealing if you leave?"

He straightened out his shirt and fixed his cuffs. Humming a little, he glanced over at August to see the smile on his face. Suspicion lit up in his eyes as he stood there. In a blink of an eye, August was gone. Janus did see the shadow disappear underneath the door, but he did not dash over. No, instead he stood there for a couple of moments.

Finally, he made the decision to go after August, though he was not sure why. Janus wrapped his fingers around the handle, but heard a few screws fall from the side of the door and creaking as he opened it. He only took a few steps out before it fell to the floor. "Great," He sighed, looking around. "Where could've that bastard gone to?"

This was going to be the most amazing escape he'd ever pulled off if he managed to get out of here. Not only was this place a maze as he'd feared, but the moment he'd started moving the headache had come back in full force. At least he'd managed to take some Salva before or he'd be in worse shape. August turned around another corner and spotted a door that looked like it led outside. Thank everything. August slipped under the door and found himself in a surprisingly spacious alleyway. And just in time, too. He spilled back into a human form, bracing himself against a wall. No, he had to keep going. He couldn't stop so close to the hospital. August took a long, deep breath and pushed off the wall. Where was he even? Had Janus brought him to the rich part of town? Probably, given that August had never seen a hospital in the part of town where he lived. That just complicated things. He couldn't exactly blend in around here.

@knightinadream group

Doubt started to sprout within him. Whether or not finding August would serve any use, he was getting exhausted. Janus ran into some of the officers, but just kept on going after they realized what he was doing. He didn't have enough time to really say a word, especially since he just wants to go home at this point.

There's no way that he could've gotten far though. Could he? The hospital didn't even approve August for discharge yet. Perhaps the thief was not too far off from where he was. Maybe the thief was still on hospital property.

Eventually, Janus ran outside. Something was telling him that he would be finding this guy eventually if he left the building. He lifted his chin up, hoping he would be able to spot him. Anyone from the lower sides of the city are easy to find. It takes a lot to be able to blend in these parts, he knows it all too well. Hopefully, he can find August before trouble ensues again.

Just moments after he looked over his left shoulder, he found someone. He found him. Rubbing the back of his neck, he let put a sigh. The urge to yell was strong, yet he ended up slowly yet surely walking over. "Yah, August," He called out. "There's no use in doing this. You're going to get lost. Let's go back to the hospital and get you back in bed. Okay?"

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

(I apologize profusely for the long wait! Life's been wild lately. :)
August froze, the voice sending a tremor of dread throughout his body. Damn, this guy was persistent. And fast. He'd hoped he'd have longer, but no. "Ah, well, better to be lost than locked up in there," August called, not looking towards the guy. "I'm good at being lost. I bet if you gave me enough time I'd be able to get out of here, no problem." Most of that was lies, but August wasn't about to confirm Janus' words. Yes, he'd probably get lost. He'd probably have multiple close encounters with what passed for the law around here. It was all better than being stuck in that hospital with all that 'chosen one' stuff hanging over his head. "What are you going to do? Threaten to crush my skull?" August started walking, trying his best not to look as bad as he felt. Maybe he could have a little more Salva, just to aid in his escape. "June, could you give me a hand?" He muttered, praying the thing would cooperate with him.

@knightinadream group

(No, it's all good! I'm kinda busy too. I appreciate the response! :D )

"Ahhh I see…Is that something you learned or are you terrible with directions?" With eyes squinted, he stared at August. For a second he looked over his right shoulder back at the hospital. Locked up…. Well, Janus could give him credit for that, although there is no point in running away if you haven't fully recovered yet. The doctor looking over August did not even come back to Janus or the officers to let them know that the thief can be discharged. If he was not a decent person, he probably would have let the guy just wander around for a few hours while following from a distance just to amuse himself. In a way, it would be entertaining.

"Threaten to crush your skull…." He murmured the words. Biting down on his bottom lip, he glanced up at the sky briefly. A small chuckle managed to slip out of him just as he looked at August. There is no way that this guy will be able to walk out of his sight or get far away from him. Rolling his eyes, he rushed forward then grabbed August's wrist. "Come on….You know you are wasting both of our time here. I won't threaten to crush your skull if you comply for once."

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"I've learned it," August snapped, glaring at the small space that had opened up in front of him. "June, I swear to everything. Cooperate or you're not getting leaves for a very long time." The space turned down, almost like a disappointed face, then opened into a space the size of a small suitcase. August quickly stuck his hand in, rooting around for the bottle he was looking for. Something cool got nudged into his hand–probably June trying to get back into his good graces. August pulled out the bottle, uncorked it, and popped the Salva into his mouth. Yes, he probably had a problem. But everyone around there did. It was the only way to live. He dropped the bottle back into the space just in time for Janus to grab his wrist. "Am I really?" August demanded, whirling around. He was already starting to feel better. His headache was nothing but a whisper, and he felt a lot stronger too. It was amazing what taking more than the bare minimum of Salva needed to live did. "I'm already outside the hospital. And I dare say I feel a lot better than I did in there." August glanced down at the hand around his wrist. He wouldn't be able to get out of that, not if the guy was really as strong as he claimed. August didn't want a broken wrist on top of everything else. "Aww, come on, Janus, I think we both know I'm not very good at that." August gave him a cold smirk. "I'm not going back into that hospital. I'm not going to go to jail, either. I'd rather get decapitated."

@knightinadream group

Janus was not sure what was happening. Whatever it was, he could not really move at the moment. The man just simply stood there and watched the space and August interact. His attention wavered for a few moments until he heard the thief speak again.

He noticed how all of the sudden, the other looked more well than just a moment ago. At first he thought that he is possibly just seeing things since it's been a day, but then he blinked and realizes that it was true.

To him, he felt as if the air around them was starting to get warmer. His blood was boiling as they rushed through his veins. Part of him wanted to just let go of this guy while the other was assuring to hold on as long as he could.

How long can he take this? The more he stares at August, the more he will start to lose his sanity. Absentmindly, his grip on the thief's wrist tightened. The corners of his lips reluctantly turned up into a bittersweet smile. "You steal, you are terrible with directions, and you cannot comply," He sighed. "Ah…What good of use are you as a chosen one then?"

Letting go of August, he was quick to lift the thief up and throw him over his shoulder. "Try me, August. Please do….Try me." And with that, he began to walk off towards the entrance of the hospital.

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"That's the whole point," August grumbled, glaring at Janus. "I'm not a chosen one. It's some sort of mistake." He was expecting Janus to start pulling him back towards the hospital but not at all for Janus to pick him up and throw him over his shoulder. "Hey! What are you doing?" August gasped. He couldn't believe Janus had done that. What was he thinking? This was ridiculous! This was actually worse than being decapitated. "Let go of me!" Obviously, Janus wasn't going to listen to him. But it was his first reaction. His second reaction was a lot more useful. August dissolved into shadow and slipped out of Janus' grasp. He reappeared a few paces away from Janus, shooting him a huge glare. "Don't ever do that again."

@knightinadream group

"In a better world it probably would be, but the two of us are here now. And sadly we are in the same position." August suddenly disappearing and slipping out of his grasp caught him off guard. Janus abruptly stopped then turned around. While doing so, he picked up on the other guy's glare. Curling his lips back, his shoulders lightly bounced for a bit until he tensed up and sighed. Rubbing the bridge of his nose, he shook his head. Letting his hand drop to his side, he walked up to August. "Alright, whatever you say, pretty boy, though I can't promise anything," He sighed. Shoving his hands into his pockets, his eyes flickered to the ground for a moment. "Well, I hate wasting time, so I'm just going to head back, get my jacket, and go. Chasing idiots for hours is making me hungry."

Janus lifted his chin up to look at August then gave him a quick wave, "Bye babe." He gave a grin before turning around once again and walking back into the hospital.

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

August was expecting Janus to try and pick him up again, or to make good on the promise of crushing various bones in his body. He was not at all expecting for the man to just let him go. He blinked in surprise, both at Janus' words and the fact that he was watching his back disappear into the hospital. That turned out way better than he thought it would. This was actually incredible. Now all he had to do was get back to his part of the city and avoid getting arrested for looking slightly suspicious. It was a very real possibility that would happen, and it would be his luck if it led to him running into Janus. Again. August turned and started walking away from the hospital. Time to pretend to be someone with money, even though he looked nothing like someone with money.
