Hey I'm writing a story and for a portion of it they are in a car and talking, but I feel like that is too boring. It isn't super long dialogue but long enough to seem like to much when it is just simple back and forth. What should I include to make it more interesting? Things they see? Emotions? Or is it fine to just have dialogue for a little bit?

Its certainly fine to have dialogue for a bit but there's a fine line between a bit and too much. I mean I think you have the right Idea to just interject a bit of what they see and what they are thinking, also little stuff they're doing like shifting in their seat or changing the placement of their hands on the wheel, there are lots of little details that can be easily placed in to shake things up.

That's kinda what I was thinking. Thanks! I think it will work as long as there isn't a ton of dialogue.
