forum writing conflict that's not like every other YA fantasy novel

Okay… so I am struggling! I have some OC's who I think have a lot of potential to be in a fantasy story. The only problem is I am struggling with the conflict.
It's a fantasy story, but every time I have a decent idea (specifically conflict lol) I remember that it's literally in another book (which is not a bad thing to have a similar storyline, but I just want some originality/something new).
And in my scatter-brained mind if I don't have a clear conflict, then I can't make a good plot. Anyways, if anyone could help, that would be great!

I know this probably isn't the advice you want to hear, but you can't make your plot entirely original. There are so many books out there and about every basic plot structure and conflict has been done before. Instead of trying to make a completely original plot idea, focus on making the execution of your plot different. Other elements of the book like your writing, characters, and world will set it apart from others. Good luck with your book!
