nova sorta retreated into herself and was useless for half the book (and 1000 years prior to the start of the book). she locked away her memories and was in denial about everything. she just didn't want to go through the pain again.

luna was close to doing the same thing, but she never wanted to be like her mother in the first place. she puts on a brave face for everyone, but eventually it all catches up to her. she's currently in her "deepest darkest hour" (between books two and three) and she's ANGRY.

sol already survived being tortured as a child. she learned what her captors wanted and let them believe they were getting what they wanted. she wasn't going to let them break her though.

Paisley, in her darkest hour, would 'turn' off her emotions. She would be cold and heartless, not letting anyone be able to get her sympthy or help.

In his darkest hour, Aidyn would not listen to a thing anybody else says. He would most likely commit, since he has grown up in a very abusive childhood, with his mother dying of OD and his dad whipping him with his belt every night and other cruel forms of punishment. Aidyn likes to talk a big game, that he is emotionally strong and everything rolls off his back like water off a duck, but those names make a mark. Inside he is a crumbling mess suffering from PTSD, anxiety, and depression. His back looks almost white from all the scars he got and he has lines all over arms. He always hated his parents, but if you grow up with everyone telling you you're useless, you begin to think that you're useless too pretty quickly.

Sawyer would probably just go nuts and start yelling at everyone, or go hide in a closet for a couple of hours.

Hmm. I don't know what my character would do. Probably get really angsty and pissed off XD

@Masterkey

Asher (heh Astrid we have similar character names) would probably realize he needs help for once in his life. I'm actually going to use a dark hour to make him reach out to people. He's not an emo or a recluse or anything, but he's been selfish all his life and slowly realizes his many acquaintances aren't true friends.

Makeana (my favorite character at the moment) would probably shut off her emotions entirely and save those closest to her if they were in danger, whether imminent or threatened.

@nekh

In general, every Minou is a little unstable and either lashes out or withdraws completely under stress, depending on the stimulus. I.e. when it’s something that makes her feel bad about herself(being dumped, everyone in trouble and she couldn’t save them), she’ll withdraw. If it’s something that greatly upsets her(someone hurting her loved ones, threatening her realm) then she’ll lash out.

I have a character who will kill their best friend/lover in their deepest darkest hour.

@Tarrant_Korrin

It depends on the specifics of the scenario, but Eloise would go cold. she would be angry, and absolutely terrifying, and she would go after the antagonist. not in an all out, last ditch, rage induced suicidal kinda way, but a very cold, very dark, very deliberate way. Almost like a sort of extended causality. bad things happened to her, so now as a result, bad things are going to happen to others.

@Celestial-B

Lilly would most likely completely shut down. Shut herself away from the world and all things in it. She would shut down emotionally and physically. She wouldn't eat, bathe, or think much and lock herself in a room all day and beat herself up for not being able to save/defeat whatever it is.

Grant would probably become savage. Something like he'll get his way no matter what it takes, even if he has to hurt others. But he'll probably be like that to protect others which completely contradicts his whole purpose for trying to get his way.

@GoodThingGoing group

Joan would start breathing quickly, and her face would flush. Then she’d use her telekinetic powers that she avoids using (because they make her go slightly more crazy every time she uses them.

@lefthandedwriter22

In her darkest hour, Adela would give up. All hope would be lost and she would lost sight of everything that is important in her life. She'd just throw it away, and focus on her own survival instead of those around her. She'd turn back to her old life as a thief or even her old life as a murderer. Her morals wouldn't get in the way, she would permanently solve any problem she faced.

Ashlee Seaton

Blanche is basically in her darkest hour throughout my book so far (she will get out of it at some point). She has turned off all of her emotions and has basically turned to extream training for a war that she knows is going to happen in order to block everything out of her head.

@ArtisticKnifepoint

Avalyn would lose control of herself. She would transform, transforming her arms into her weapon (blade arms, claw arms, whip arms) and would either start ripping a place apart, or go on a killing spree. It´s extremly difficult to make her do this, and she only did it once to save her brother Creed.
