Oh well i have never watched/read One Piece but maybe i could help brainstorm some ideas for the pirates if you want. what part of it did you need help with?

@NobleWolf

At what age do you think is appropriate for a girl and a guy to start crushing on each other? The age gap is relatively small (two years), but their ages that I'm wondering about. I'm not sure how else to phrase it ^^; It's basically the typical "guy's best friend + guy's younger sister" subplot. The guy's group is highschool age and I wanna know how old the sister can be without making it weird

@NobleWolf

Maybe fourteen? I said they're highschool age, but it's in a medieval setting. Also, the girl's a princess and the guy (the best friend) is supposed to be looking out for her (not a bodyguard, something different). It won't be a full blown relationship, just complicated feelings, and the girl is going to start crushing long before the guy

I don't mind doing a time skip if need be, but there's gonna be a larger plot going on and I want it to be in the same timeframe

@NobleWolf

Definitely not that sort of relationship

I wish I had some book examples to show what I mean. I mostly use Percy Jackson/Harry Potter as examples when it comes to how crushes are handled in fiction, as those two characters do a good job with portraying how feelings develop with the passage of time imo. They were both crushing on people by the time they were fourteen even if it wasn't serious (Harry) and neither party really acted on it until later (Percy)

I have to many antagonists because I couldn't decide which one to use and none of them have realistic motivations or backstories because I forgot about them while working on the main characters even though my story needs the villain as a main character as well. So now I'm stressing because the plot called and wants its villain.

I love making antagonists, so if you want any help I'd happily do that. We'll have to talk about your story too, which can help.

@Kefi

Also I've just come to the realization that literally all of my characters are horrible people. I take no responsibility for this.

@stolenbrocoli group

@Ash-has-a-One-Piece-problem Well, i'm a firm believer that our characters are small extensions of our true selves, so i hope you're doing okay :)

@Kefi

@Kefi oh i get that wayyy too much. i don't think i have a single character who isn't toxic. Might have to write one in…

Seriously. I just had to throw my head into a pillow and scream for a minute because!! You can't just!! Murder people because you want something!!! Stop it. Be better.
