So, I had a dream last night about meeting one of my favorite actors.
I don't remember much but I remember I was like at a fair or something and that's where I met him and his family. I told I think a joke? I'm not sure, but we started laughing and then I woke up.

So, here we go. This was a few nights ago.

In my dream, pretty much everything seemed normal. My father was there, my mother wasn't, most of my older siblings were there, three weren't. Like normal. So, in this dream world, I walked around the house, it felt slightly strange, because everyone a walked past was smiling. Though only at me. They were already facing me when I walked down whatever path lead me to them. And as I walked past, they turned so that they were still facing me. Faces I knew, ones I didn't. They were all smiling at me.

Some could see this as endearing, some could see it as creepy. For me, it was merely stressing. I began to run within the dream world. I eventually made it to the place where I went to primary school. I ran down the concrete path to the french doors in the front. I pushed the doors open and was greeted with waves of smiling faces. They all spoke in unison.

"Why are you running again?"

It confused me, as I was unsure where the "again" part came from. I never in my life recalled an experience like that one. But regardless of confusion, I turned around and took off the other way. Though unlike the last time I ran, I heard a loud, ear-bursting sounds. The crowd of people all were running after me. Their strides in unison. Eventually, I made it to a park. My legs were tired from running. I wobbled, took two shaky steps to the right, one to the left, and fell to the ground. My vision was blurring, but caught onto a hooded figure swinging gently on a swing set. They said nothing, the swing just screeched loudly as they went back and forth. My vision became like static until I couldn't make out anything. Someone whispered to me, "see you soon".

And then I woke up.

Last night, I had a dream about me time traveling to America, around the end of the 17th century. I only know the dream took place there because I asked what year it was to someone who was walking by. Anyways, a married couple found me wandering around the streets and asked me where my parents were. I honestly didn't know how to respond, so I stayed silent. They both looked at each other and just pretty much started whispering. They let me stay the night until they could find my parents. The house was huge. It was like a mansion. I know slavery was a thing back then, so it could have been a plantation. I don't really know. I don't exactly remember the name of the man, so let's call him Sam. His wife was named Dorothy. Dorothy had two kids from her previous marriage.

I asked Sam what his job was. He said he was a politician. They showed me around the house and let me sleep in one of the extra bedrooms. A couple of days later, everyone was quite busy. And I was confused. Turned out Sam, his wife, and apparently, I was going to have dinner with two other politicians. Sam and his wife were already a bit suspicious of me because of the way I talked, I did not want two strangers to also be suspicious of me. I tried my best to talk how people talked back then, but if you live in the 21st century, talking like people around the end of the 17th century is pretty hard. Especially if you're a woman.

The dinner was interesting. I was introduced to these two guys who were way younger than Sam. There was also a little incident where I told them I was from a place that was under Spanish control at that time and I was from the future. At first, they thought I was joking until I took out some money and started naming the guys on the bills. Washington got a bit of reaction. The one that got much more of a reaction was the five-dollar bill. Because I said, "And this is Abraham Lincoln, America's 16th president." Around that time, I believe George Washington was still president. Alexander Hamilton did have his face on all the bills because he was the Secretary of the Treasury. I don't know why, but he did.

They looked at me and then suddenly I was bombarded with questions.

Then, I woke up. I wonder if I'll be able to finish the dream.

I had a dream sometime this morning actually, I didn't write it down in detail, but I did write a poem about it, if anyone would like to see it. I'll probably write it in detail later.

@furetakunai ac_unit

That dream is very interesting, the thing about Abraham Lincoln threw me off lol. Seems like a very strange dream.
Here's the poem, btw.

A darkness surrounds me
I'm atop a mat,
spinning for a crowd.
A crowd of people I don't know.
A cup of water rests in my hand,
I take sip, choking something down.
What is it?
Uncertainty?
Sorrow?
And can I really drown it
with the contents of this cup?

The room is silent
apart from the thud my foot makes
as I push off for another spin.
Everyone's watching.
In my other hand is a bag.
What's in it?
Who knows?
They say it's a beanbag, but
it began to doubt that after
the first time I dropped it.
I could hear a shatter, as it
dropped with my heart to the ground.

I made a mistake.
I tripped.
I clutched the bag tighter.
Determined to never drop it again.
I took another sip, and stopped spinning.
My footsteps wobbled.
I fell to the ground.

No one was cheering,
booing,
it was silent.
My eyes closed
and then opened again.

"Why is everything suddenly so bright?"

i had this weird dream where i was in a three-way relationship with nagito komaeda and hajime hinata from danganronpa 2: goodbye despair

it was so off,,, like it was a cute dream and all but it felt pretty awkward too-
but suddenly everything turned white. nagito and hajime were gone, and i was trapped in an empty, white void
i felt like i was running in circles, when i finally ran far enough i came across a sign that said "you're not good enough for them, so this is where it all ends"
and then i woke up, crying for whatever reason

I had a dream about someone who had died. It was a mystery, and someone by the nickname of Fox was killed. And there were videos telling a story. And they were scattered everywhere.
I decided to write a short story based off it.

@nebula__ group

i had this vivid dream and it actually made me sob i dnjndjnej

basically, the dream went like this;

i was drawing something digitally, and my mom walked in and asked what i was doing. i showed her the drawing and she stared at it and said, "wow, this fucking sucks." i always go to her whenever i have a drawing i'm super proud of, so i immediately started trying to convince her that it wasn't that bad like she said it was. then she told me to erase the whole thing. after that, i woke up with tears in my eyes, and they're still there. i can't stop crying and i have no idea why.

I always have weird dreams. A few years ago I had one that was me, standing next to a pool, seeing everything in blurry, bright blues and purples. Not long after that, I had a dream where I was on a field trip, and the teacher's head grew helicopter rotors and flew off without the rest of the teacher.

I had a dream about being somebody else's imaginary friend. It was sad because I couldn't see them as they grew up, but there was this entire otherworld of imaginary friends and places I could (was meant to) stay in…

@NotSoBeautifulDiseaster group

The last dream I could remember was something about my brother and mom being sick and sleeping in my bed, I went to take a bath and I had two tubs, one covered in dirt and grime and the other was full of some red sticky stuff, I wouldn't say it was a nightmare, per se, It was mainly just kind of off and kinda gross like one of those liminal space pictures

Other recurring themes I have in my dream are my home changing around, Some about fighting (artificially involving my stepdad), and some about having to escape something that's going to kill me but never managing to, There was also this nightmare I had when I was about 6 that I can still vaguely remember, where I was left in a car by myself in an empty parking lot while my mom was shopping when she came back the car started driving away by itself, no matter how much she tried to keep up with me and no matter how I screamed, the car kept driving until I couldn't even see her

@Kino

This was four years back around freshman year but I still remember it pretty vividly. I was floating in a long hallway that I felt like it went on forever with doors spaced out on both sides; though I could see the end of the hallway. It had like an arched door at the end of it and I started going towards it. Dream skipped to me all of a sudden being there at the door and as I opened it there was like this figure who was all white floating by a tree in a circular room. I don't mean like race by he was white or anything, it was like an inverted silhouette of like a person. They didnt really have a face or anything or eyes it was kind of just blank, and they had no clothes but no like bodily features really. They started floating towards me and I began to freak out. They grabbed onto me and told me to not be afraid and all of a sudden I just wasnt, it had like a weird voice that didnt really sound gendered but was deep. They lead me into the room and as we did the door shut behind us. In the room there were other doors equally space on the wall going in a circle. They entity told me that I could go into the doors and go anywhere I wanted. For some reason at that point the I had the thought that I must have died or something and this was heaven, what with all the weirdness and heavinliness of the entity that was showing me around. I started freaking out and thinking about my mom and how my family must be, to which the entity then said I could leave and come back again someday when I was ready. All I could keep thinking was that I wasn't ready to die yet and so I floated back to the door with the hallway and then as I started floating down it I wokeup. Was really confused and my heart was beating like crazy and I felt like throwing up. Cried and then couldnt fall asleep so I played video games till the morning.

I'm not religious by any means but man did that dream have me thinking for a long ass time. Couldnt sleep well for a few weeks after because I was really afraid of going back to that dream I guess, idek why but I felt terrified by it after waking up even though it was relatively calm.

Honestly wish I could go back to it just to play out that lucid dream again, let my mind go wherever I guess. Have not had a dream like it since. Like it was so detailed, I vividly remember colors and the weird sensation of floating and the touch of the door and how warm it felt when whatever the thing talking to me was. That's probably why I was so freaked out when I wokeup, just felt so real.

Don't like thinking about it too much though because it kind of disillusions me into thinking what if there was more to it. But I just rationalize it with how religious my upbringing was and thats probably why the imagery was how it was in the dream.

gonna like
revive this thread so i can talk about this dream i had last night that was super heckin weird

basically, the dream took place in this town that had a monster running rampant. and funny enough that monster was a demonic-looking version of the original design for sonic (the one for the sonic movie, that design that got worldwide hate) except he was like??? ginormous???
then suddenly there was like.. this cafe on the side of the road. upon going in, there was a bunch of vocaloids there talking about??? bananas???? i don't remember the conversation very well but it was something about bananas

and that's all i vividly remember
GOD this dream was so wacky

Had this dream once a few years back

I was suddenly in a pretty big shopping mall, everything was lit up and seemed as if it was opened for customers. But there was no one there, no store employees and no regular shoppers, only me and maybe ten other people standing in the middle, all looking disoriented. No doors to leave the mall.
After a bit of confused looking around, a voice coming from somewhere (maybe speakers) told us that we all had died, but we had a last chance to come back to life. We just had to find a certain something, no description given as we will recognize it when we see it, here in this mall. We had a time limit I don't remember, maybe something like a few hours to a day. Of course everyone went searching and slowly time went by. Occasionally, the speakers announced how much time was left. As everyone kept searching, at some point there was only something like 2 hours left. Everyone started to seach more frantically. Still nothing.
As time was running out, everyone started panicking. At maybe a few minutes left, we still hadn't found anything. When the last minute started counting down with actual ticking of a clock, the mall started to dissolve to white from the edges to the middle as if this reality was breaking apart. Scared, everyone fled to the center and huddled together. The white nothingness came closer and closer and when only the space we were sitting on was left, I shut my eyes tightly and started whimpering. It was a really scary feeling, I think we were starting to dissapear as well. Then suddenly nothing. As if everything had stopped exisiting.
No idea how much time had passed between this "feeling of not exisiting anymore" and suddenly feeling something again. I still couldn't see anything, my eyes were still shut tightly, probably from "before". I think what I felt could maybe have been the wind on my skin. I could feel solid ground underneath my fingers. I seemed to be lying on a cold rough metal floor. After my senses started coming back, I slowly opened my eyes, squinting because it seemed so bright. As I got used to the light, I saw I was lying on my side in an abandoned, slightly overgrown mall or warehouse where the sun was shining in through the holes in the roof. Feeling dizzy, I tried to sit up, still having my head hanging down and now looking at the floor. I could see other feet and legs, understanding that there were others sitting and lying here with me. "Those from before!", I thought.
As I quickly leaned on my arms for support and lifted my head to properly see them, the second I would've seen their faces, everything went white for a split second and when I could see again, I was lying in my bed, staring at the ceiling.
I was so stunned, I kept staring at it for what felt like at least ten minutes, not being able to form a coherent thought. It all seemed so surreal. After I finally sat up and thought about it, I seriously doubted my sanity for a moment there. it all semed to fit together so well, as if I had really died, maybe in my sleep, ended up wherever the fuck that was, some kind of afterlife? And despite not having found what we were supposed to find there, we were for some reason still brought back.
As if the abanoned mall was the parallel version of this afterlife place in our world. As my body seemed to be left in my bed, that couldn't have been our bodies sitting there in the abandoned mall. But I could feel the wind and the sun on my skin there and the cold hard floor. And for some reason, I think, I wasn't allowed to see everyone elses faces. I could see them in the "afterlife mall", but only the typical not really detailed and blurry type of faces one usually sees in dreams. I couldn't remember them. Maybe those in the abandoned mall would've been their real, detailed faces. And we weren't supposed to know who the others are, so we couldn't find each other in the "real world".

As a disclaimer preface, Dr. Seuss's estate made the right call. I am no buddy of his bosom, yet I still feel very certain that Dr. Seuss himself would approve of his estate/executors' decisions if he were alive because to my knowledge he did very much want to undo the damage he did from illustrating World War 2 propaganda before he went onto children's books. So if evaluation of a maturing society about these issues revealed his works still in want of improvement and not standing the test of time, then I very easily believe he'd want those specific publications to not continue being published. Just like plenty of other old books don't continue to get published anyway.

Onto my dream last night:

Had post-apocalyptic dystopian Dr. Seuss dreams about going to the grocery store and trying to show somebody else art I made that I bluetoothed to my phone in waking life but was no longer in my phone.

I woke up and checked that it was there, which it was/is, but I don't want to go all the way back to sleep only to find somebody in a post-apocalyptic Dr. Seuss dystopia to show them non-Seussical art on my phone. They'll survive without my showing it to them. If they still think I made it up that I even do art, like because non-Seussical art doesn't even exist in that part of the dream world, then—whatever.

@NathanU

I'm not one to have dreams nowadays (or at least recall them after waking up), but two dreams I can remember off the top of my head are:

  • My mom dumps a whole plate of noodles (which I love) into a giant plastic trash bin (about as tall as her) right in front of me
  • Back at my grandparents' house, I'm chased by a big tarantula and it eventually jumps onto my hand

@Greg-The-Janitor language

I usually fight demons in my dreams. The most recent ones I've fought are:

. a horde of mechanized spiders
. a dark tentacle like being that grew out of the walls
. a 100 story tall monkey with fifty arms and fifty legs
. a god of time
. a being created out of homework papers and that could form the papers into floating blades
. a group of disgruntled triclops (cyclopes with triangle eyes) who were wielding sledgehammers
