A story of mine takes place in an eastern-asia inspired universe and I can't think of names for the locations there. The world is divided into six primary regions, does anyone think they could help me name them all? I've tried generators and word manipulation, however none of those have left any particularly admirable outcomes.
"Eastern Asia" has a wide variety of language roots and cultures. I would figure out which one you want to focus on first. China? Japan? Korea? India? Southeast Asia? (Which again, is full of its own vastly different peoples?) That should let you get a better grasp on names and feel.
(I would suggest against trying to do a pan-Asian melting pot approach - some of us don't especially like having ourselves represented as a willy-nilly mixture)
( I apologize I don't know how to reply to stuff correctly ahh, I hope you can see this! ) Ah yes! Each area is supposed to be inspired by a different part of East Asia, as well as the people in them. Thank you for the advice, I'll keep that in mind!~
Maybe look up the major cities of each country and alter them slightly? Or find out their meaning in English to give you ideas?
