@murphysgirl

(Hehehehehehehehe.)

What's the tech like? Is it fantasy/medieval, or more modern-day? And what's the weather/climate like?

@murphysgirl

Gender differences between males and females of the different tribes?
Signs that someone is powerful, important etc. (like cars are status symbols)?
Celebrities - are there any?

@Althalosian-is-the-father book

Celebrities? Nah. Well. There are political figures that have some clout. A lot in the case of the Fén, not so much for the Menna unless you’re in their city. Ancestors are revered by all the tribes except the Dweor.

@murphysgirl

First off, gender or sex? Are we talking culturally or physically?

Sex. Sorry. I forget that those are different things. And physically.

Status symbols

Menna: First off, clothes. Clothes are expensive. Many clothes, or decorations on said clothes instantly show who is wealthy and who is not. Another big giveaway is if they have jewelry, normally made of siláqy, a silver metal that oxides blue very quickly, basically gold in their world since some of their money is made of it.
Gobé Li: Not much. Status is dictated mostly by age, though males can hope to earn collars stained red with berry juice for service to the tribe.
Dweor: Status symbols are only for the priestesses. When a Dweor is accepted as a priestess, her earlobes are pierced, leaving large holes where polished pieces of zmar (an emerald like stone) are placed in them, where they will fuse to the ears as they heal. They also have a tattoo under their bottom lip. The Máz Mûl, the high priestess, gets above and below her eyes tattooed as well.
Fén: Both men and women wear makeup. They have berry juice to lightly stain their lips and apply eyeliner and a sort of mascara to enhance their eyelashes. Normally this I see done by the higher tunzíl. Also the decorating of arms and legs is strictly for the high tunzíl, so that is a status symbol.

I mean… basically the same as here? Exactly the same for the Menna. The women don’t have as big a height difference in the Fén. The Dweor are basically the same as us except for the fact that Dweori are shorter than humans and have a wider body type than the average white tall skinny thing. Gobé Li have fewer sex differences. Breasts obviously. But they both are build basically the same, wiry and short. Gobé Li women aren’t curvy or anything like.
