Thinking about how I love some pieces of the gamer girl aesthetic, but I want gamer girl aesthetic in purple and black instead of pinks and whites.
Gamer girl but make it ~edgy~

@Becfromthedead group

Yeah, no, I mean all the gaming stuff has to be black and purple. Those pink cat ear head phones? Purple. Pink mouse and keyboard? Also purple.
And dark colored neon lights kinda vibe

@Becfromthedead group

Yeah, I was at best buy earlier getting myself a drawing tablet, and I saw all the gamer girl stuff. Guess they never stop putting ladies in an "everything pink uwu" box. Of course you can get gaming accessories that aren't "gamer girl," but I think we can have feminine-ish accessories that aren't all the same shade of pink.

@Becfromthedead group

Yeah, probably. I just wish it was more mainstream. Probably will never get any of that though because I just use a laptop. Said laptop has cool backlighting that I usually leave on purple, but otherwise, I don't have the extra money that I'm willing to spend on a fancy mouse and headset.
It's just a cool concept, and I wish there was more of it out there. I wanna see more mainstream gamers with a similar aesthetic to mine.

Thinking about why old school projects like gardening, paper making, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and weaving, aren't big things now.

I crochet and want to learn how to make my own paper. Good for the environment and a new hobby.

@Becfromthedead group

I do knitting and sewing, and I love them so much ;-;
Trying to learn crochet as well still
They may be time consuming but they're such cool hobbies

@StarkSpangledMayflower

I could never learn how to knit, it never worked for me. I love sewing but our machine is stupid and I forgot so much about it. I wish it was or mainstream so that I could take a crochet project out to the park, mall, or even a coffee shop to work on and not get looks from people

@StarkSpangledMayflower

Oh cool! The last thing I hand-sewed was in my grade 8 home ec. Class where I made a Teddy bear

I like taking my crochet projects out in public to work on, expecially parks and the beach, but people like to point and whisper, my social anxiety takes offence to that 🥲🥲🥲

@Becfromthedead group

Oh my god, do you wanna see my stupid ass cat that I sewed last summer, having no idea what I was doing?
And understandable. Mostly my friends would just come up and be like "oh, that's so cool," and usually that's the response knitters and crocheters get in public, even if it is in behind the back whispers- because it is pretty damn cool

@StarkSpangledMayflower

Bec its amazing and I love it! I like the lopsided face, it looks very soft

My friends still can't understand how string turns into a toy or a sweater and I'm like…you loop it, thats it

@Becfromthedead group

Thank you! He's super lopsided because there was a pattern you're supposed to print out and I said "no, I think I can eyeball it."
I could not, in fact eyeball it.

But yeah, it is just loops and knots but it's crazy how many patterns you can get out of a few types of stitches.

@StarkSpangledMayflower

Wjy is that me with every new project 😂

In crochet every stitch is the same. It just depends on how many times you yarn over. My mom.is always shocked when I tell her that after making something new

@Becfromthedead group

Oh, I guess thats true, from what little experience I have.
Knitting is exactly 2 stitches, plus those normal stitches altered to increase or decrease or whatever
