MiBoiSycore I remember my mom read the books aloud to my brother and I when we were little but we stopped partway through one of the books (the fifth??) because it was moving too slowly and we were bored. I barely remember them and I haven't read them on my own since. Everyone always seems so scandalized when I say I haven't really read the books. It's like a crime or something.

@Mindful_Bison

@Francis Yep, book five moves pretty slowly.
I read the Harry Potter series in maybe 5th grade? It was good but not as good as Lord of the Rings/the Hobbit

"Maam, do you have your license?" The officer barked.
What was this? What did i do? "What?" I squeaked.
"Do you have your license?" He repeated.
"Yes." I fumbled through my bag and handed him the card. "Here sir."
His eyes bugged. "Hey rookie, come see this." He called to the other cop.
A younger man walked over. "Yessir?"
"This is the worst crime ever committed. If you ever see this, report it immediately." The younger one only nodded. What did i do? What's going on? Why am I being arrested in a library?
"W-what did i do?" I asked.
"You never read the Harry Potter series. Maam, come with me." He took me by my arms and dragged me out of the library. "No- no my books!"
"They're worthless."

I read a couple pages of the first book once (for both Harry potter and Lord of the rings), but then I got bored cause there were a ton of pages (and I was young and had attention span of a flea). But my brother and Dad watched all the movies with me around, so I got to see all those.

@Firebrand

i looked up the attention span of a flea and found it was 30 - 90 days… my dude you have the longest attention span ever

@LudibrousLainey

Really? Woah, I didn't know it was that long. I more have the attention span of a goldfish then, lol (This one I actually looked up to double check, and it's apparently 9 seconds. Which is pretty accurate for me, lol).

@m1dn1g7t_ri0ts_13

She has these exact words on the board every single day: “A goldfish has the attention span of 9 seconds. A human has the attention span of less than 8 seconds now. Good job…”
