Bruh for real, I can eat all the ice cream I want but just gallon milk makes me break out like hUh??

what percentage are you drinking?

I used to drink whole milk with added vitamin d (because, sing it with me, the sun is a deadly laser. Now I take supplements)

@Pickles group

I bet skim
Skim tastes like thicc water and it's gross

Skim is for c h i l d r e n
nAsTy

I used to drink skim and then my doctor thought I was allergic to something (multiple somethings at different times) because I was so small. And then they put me on growth hormones and told me to drink whole milk because it would maybe make me gain weight

@Rainy_is_back

Hey, @crocs-to-a-knife-fight, do you have any suggestions for keeping good nails? My nails seem to keep getting weak, the longer they get. So they break really easily.

hair and nail gummies. multi vitamins are all the vitamins which you should also take. drink lots of water, milk if you can, eat veggies and things.

also you can buy strengthening stuff for them! its usually like nail polish

I'm not the best to ask, because I have like freakishly strong finger and toenails(my toenails istg could make box cutters) but I hope that helps! for all of you lmao. and drink your milk you nerds. bone juice

Okay, sweet! Thank you!

so I'm not a dermatologist or doctor

surprising I know

but maybe a lower percentage and no supplements could be good, so that you could drink milk

also I swear by my skin routine during breakouts

The supplements were prescribed, and no one in my family drinks lower percentages so it's all good. I am in good, milkless health 👍

Give

alright so most of this you can get anywhere from the dollar store to Sally's by way of beauty aisles

use cotton balls

wipe down your face with them, each cotton ball light soaked in witch hazel

like seriously you put the cotton ball to the mouth of the bottle and tilt, hold to two or three, then ur good

wipe your face and neck

I use two for my face(one for forehead, nose, and around my mouth and chin. the second for cheeks and then overall if needed. focus on spots that build up dead skin and get oily). one for neck. you dont want to use one for all because the bacteria on your neck is not good for face

get behind your ears!!

do NOT use it on your eyes

once all that is well and done, use a face moisturizer. witch hazel dries skin

for bad breakouts and red spots, use straight up teatree oil. a drop will cover a decent spot, I lather till I reek of it bcs I'm dramatic

also if you sleep like shit invest in stuff for under eye shadows. pressing a cold spoon or holding used green tea bags there can also help with that

boom!! it's cheap and only has a couple actual steps, which is good for those of us who cant sit there for an hour doing stuff. do it every day though. that's how you get Results

@jupiter-sun-of-sweater-town group

Also, MAKE ROSEWATER. idk if it helps breakouts but that stuff feels great on your skin.
Here's a handy how-to tutorial:

  1. Get as many roses as you want.
  2. Pull off all the petals.
  3. Put them in a pot with water.
  4. Boil that water for half an hour.
  5. Let that stuff cool.
  6. Remove all the disgusting shriveled rose petals.
  7. Pour into a bottle of your choice.
    DONE.

@south-is-a-tad-bit-outraged

thanks for the help both of you!! i use witch hazel a lot, but sometimes i use persa gel when i need to get rid of a pimple super quick. does anyone know if that’s good for my skin or not?

@croccin-champagne

well, if i had a picture of your face i could legit just show it to my mom and worst case a day or two later you'd have the best haircuts but also i am in no way at all pressuring you bcs internet spooky and people can be fucking creepy dw

what kind of face shape do you have? have you looked at pinterest for 'mens haircuts', or even women's short haircuts(helps with shitty relatives) and found the more masc ones that could be altered to still look like that but definitely masc?

@Max_Miracle_DroppedMostOfTheirRPs

I believe so but then again I’m also a tired dumbass so who knows
From what I can tell I have an oval type face. My jawline be pretty sharp tho ngl
I’ll see if I can find a good picture of me that’s not at a wack angle and I’ll dm it to you if that’s okay?

Fucking, how do I tell what color undertones my skin has?

@Brooklyn_Is_Here

if your veins are blue, you have a warm undertone
if your veins are green, you have a cool undertone
if you have both then you're neutral

@moss

I thought it was different? Like blue and purplish veins are cool and blue-green ones are neutral and then green/olive veins are warm.

@Brooklyn_Is_Here

You are absolutely right I am so sorry, idk if you're talking about the undertones of your skin for hair color or anything, but here's a helpful video, (Also Brad Mondo is great for hair advice.)

@croccin-champagne

jhhjfgh i seriously think something near a faux-hawk but without the sharply shaved sides would suit you. allows for styling should you want, looks good without, and it still saves you from parents who don't like the 'edgy styles'

@strangebird actually got a cut similar, though the top and sides are very close in length, which is more what i'm trying to say lmao. maybe she can share her reference photos if she still has them?

@Relsey

I know the nail's conversation was a while ago but…
If you don't want your nails to break, just wear nail polish. The polish acts like armor on your nail, if you deal with lots of chemicals (Like if you are a swimmer) the chemicals will be attacking the nail polish not the nail. Now the trick here is you want to wear nail polish but not switch it out a bunch, pick a color and stick with it for as long as possible before switching it up.
Nail oil, I can not tell you how beneficial the stuff is. If your nails break a lot its probably because they are extra brittle. After you use nail polish remover, put some nail oil on. Nail oil makes the nail more flexible with out making them weak like water does and on that note..
Avoid doing things with your hands after taking a shower or having you nails in or around water if it's longer than a few minutes. Your nails are a lot more absorbent then you think. Your nails absorb the water and they become extra breakable.
Invest in a dolor store metal nail file, they aren't expensive like glass ones but they aren't the cardboard trash most people use.If you see the beginnings of a nail ripping, reshape the nail to accommodate for it.
Don't buff your nail, that's just stupid,. You're literally weakening the nail when you do that so don't. If you want to have a smooth nail finish just use a thicker base coat.
That's all I have.

You can also use clear nail polish if you're in a position where regular nail polish isn't something you can wear without ridicule, it's worked well for me and there's some fast-drying stuff out there that makes it just take 5 minutes and go! Or just if you don't want any flashy colors, or if you have a preference for clear nail polish.

Also, that shit works so well as a top coat and makes your fancy sparky nail polish last a million times longer, so that's awesome if you want that.
