Desjani hadn't expected that large of a story… Personally she hadn't expected any at all. "I apologise sir that you had to go through that… Before Geary we were stuck in a hundred year war with the Syndicate. Humans like you and I that extended further than the Alliance could reach and keep under control. Kosatka and very few others are the only ones untouched by war… I've been away from Kosatka for awhile now though. How is it?" She asked him. "I believe Admiral Geary is making his way back now if you'd like to wait for him. He never really stays away from duty, or this bridge, for long."

~~~
Carabali hummed quietly to herself as she walked through the ship for a few moments, wondering just where exactly Elizia might've gone off to now. She should've known staying behind to chat with Geary was a bad idea… Yet she could never really help it personally. Nevertheless she checked on the crew from time to time as well to see where Elizia might've gone off to.
@Mr.Misfit
Who would’ve guessed that a year-ish and one large space firefight later, I’d become the impromptu Lovuthan ambassador. This has been one crazy day.
Elizia sat in something close to a break room talking to a group of engineers off duty about aliens (Dancers? I’ve heard of them before, I think. We talking about those spider-wolf guys?), when Elizia noticed Carabali wandering around and chatting from the members of the crew. Bidding her goodbyes to the engineers, she ran to flag down Carabali.
“Carabali,” she waved, against the weight of her braces, “Good to see you. I was just taking time on my way to the bridge”
@Divine_Emperor
Blake stopped, taking a glance at Desjani.
"Don't tell me you don't know, Geary and his fleet disappeared thirty years ago until now, by now your family is probably long dead. If not then they were blown to pieces." He said before continuing to walk.
"I'll see you in the meeting, Second in Command, Desjani…"
@ThatOneWeirdLostFleetFan
Carabali looked over to Elizia, giving a smile to her of course. "You need to not worry me again… But I'll take you there directly if you want. How are you finding the crew?" She asked before noting the bracers. "Huh, cool braces… What do they mean? I hope I'm not intruding for asking. Geary will probably ask how a greeting works for your people so, get prepared when we get there.
Desjani was lost for words at that. Kosatka… Thirty years on this assignment? The hadn't felt like she even aged a day! "Understood, see you at the meeting as well, Fleet Admiral." She stated. She took a deep breath as she looked over at the crew. Continuing in a louder voice now, confident of course. "Kosatka will live, nobody can ruin her and she will survive for millenniums to come." She could see smiles from others on the bridge and gave a small smile back. At least this would boost her confidence for a little while.
{Ye, Spider-wolves are termed as Dancers in the books!!}
@Mr.Misfit
(Oh, I wasn’t asking, I know. It was just a side snippet of conversation kinda thing.)
Elizia smiles sheepishly and looked down, “Sorry, Carabali. I was getting sidetracked. Your crew members are amazing. Very polite, and most of them very calm as well. The experience shows.”
When Carabali questioned her braces, she raised them to eye-level, “They mark a Mechanist who is currently or recently taking up a combat role, either as a militia or opportunist like me, or an actual trained mechanist warfighter. I decided to throw them on to see if I can beg a little more favor from the Fleetmaster when they arrive.” She started walking towards the bridge, waving for Carabali to accompany her, “And our salute is rather awkward for humans to pull off. We recognize the traditional human greetings, you won’t need to adapt to us.”
@ThatOneWeirdLostFleetFan
{Sorry!!! I wasn't online for three days was all and waiting for everyone to reply lmao. Deep apologies anyways, might not reply with Geary just yet. Sorry for the wait!!}
~~~

"Ah, the crew would definitely want to make a good impression on someone like you, that's for sure." Carabali replied with a smirk. "It's fine if you got sidetracked, you're not too used to the way we work around here." She replied.

She noted what the other said about the braces though and hummed a little, smiling still. "I'm personally glad that you are ready to do so. Even if it's on a ship so different from yours. Proud of you personally here. However, I do not know if the Admiral is up on the bridge as of yet but he should be there soon. Afterwards, we can all head down to the meeting room. How long until your… 'Fleet Master' is it? Comes down here to talk to the Admiral?"

@Mr.Misfit

“Dunno,” Elizia replied, shrugging her shoulders, “In the words of my sister, ‘He’ll get there when he gets there.’ So it appears they may have a situation. I have considered taking the Loveless over, but I believe I should remain on board as both assistant and ambassador to you.” She paused to charge an engineer’s arc welder, then continued, “It is unfortunate that I have been out of the loop for so long, though. We Mechanists are still a new face in the universe compared to the rest of the Lovuthan Theocracy, and our culture is still evolving. Much will have changed in the past 2 years.”

@Mr.Misfit

(Ok. I just wanna get Elizia and Blake introduced)

“As a matter of fact, I’m already perplexed by the…. pardon?” Elizia raised an eyebrow whilst looking over Carabali’s shoulder. An entourage of bodyguards surrounded a figure in a similar uniform to Geary, only minor changes.

Too far away to tell if it was Geary, but who else?

“Umm, Carabali? Wasn’t the Admiral on his way to the bridge?” She asked, watching with horror as the group approached.

Perhaps she was not as welcome among humans as she had been told.

@Divine_Emperor

Blake continued walking. On his way two people were talking. He kept going pausing in front of them, raising an eyebrow slightly.
"Why is there an alien on this ship?" Blake asked curiously, the previous emotion outbreak kept under wraps.

@Mr.Misfit

She didn’t know what to be more offended by: the fact that he hadn’t even bothered to address her directly, or the way he completely disregarded the fact she was an alien— despite the fact that most couldn’t even tell— and just went straight to the why. This wasn’t Geary, that’s for sure.

Elizia narrowed her eyes, “Apologies, but I have no idea who you are, or why you are on this ship. They welcomed me here, and so here I am still. Fleet Admiral Geary has allowed me to assist this fleet, which I volunteered to do of my own good will.”

She bit her tongue, then quickly added, “Of course, you’ve probably got good enough reason to be here as well, seeing as how you’ve got the fancy uniform,” she held out her hand, “Eliziethara Arazael, Mechanist and rebel from the Lovuthan Theocracy. Elizia will suffice.”

@Divine_Emperor

"Well a Lovuthan," Blake said.
"I suppose you are with those reinforcements." He continued.
"I'm sorry with that cold hello." Blake apologised.
He then put out his hand, hoping a chance to change the appearance he had given himself accidently.

@Mr.Misfit

They shook, but Elizia raised an eyebrow, “Reinforcements? No sir, I’m an independent trader. You were expecting Mechanist reinforcements?”

How about a big Lovuthan dreadnaught, silly?

Ah.

She shook her head, smiling shamefully, “I’m sorry, that was quite ridiculous of me. I didn’t arrive with the fleet, no. But I did call them here in hopes of keeping us alive.”

@Mr.Misfit

(I didn’t feel like rewriting, and Elizia is kinda skittish when she’s addressed as something more than she is.)
