Ryder's phone dings for a minute, then ends. Thomas normally picked up, knowing about his son's anxiety. So why didn't he this time?

Ryder's eyes twitched, his hands shaking and his breath becoming quicker and quicker. I'm going to die, everyone is going to die, it's all my fault, all my fault.

"He's panicking."
"Well, if he faints, it'd be easier for us."
"We'd still have to deal with the girl."
"I said easier, not done and over with."

Usually, a side would come out and help calm him… But now it seems that someone was taking control of his body, regulating his breathing for him and all while being completely silent.

One pushes a button and a hidden compartment opens in the room, showing off a flashy silver cup full of a strange purple liquid. The cups handle had a small piece of paper labeled "For Ryder."

The piercing eyes of the new person in the body stared at the cup, slowly backing away. The body would not touch that thing, it was unnatural.

"He's not drinking it."
"Yeah, no shit. He's too smart."
"Should we-?"
"Yes."
The door to the room swings open and a shocked girl walks in. "Woah…" She breathes out, then stops short when she sees Ryder, Sam, and the still unconscious twins. "Uhmmmm…"

The body stares at her, not speaking for about a minute before uttering three words. "Who are you?"

"Shelby. Shelby Dawson." She says nervously, "Who are you?"

"… Ryder Sanders." The body muttered, finding it best to keep the secret that they were a system, well, secret.

"Okay…hi Ryder…"

"Why are you here? Do you know where here is?"

"Looks like a torture chamber…" Shelby mutters.

The body just deadpanns. "Well no shit sherlock."

"Sorry….I kinda take after my dads in the smart department…" Shelby mutters.

"… I don't know who your dads are." The body muttered, scratching at thier arms.

"Shawn Dawson and Ryland Adams…"

"Still don't know who those people are, but okay."

"Sorry." Shelby apologizes again.
