Royal smiled, happy that she was even considering. "I'd like to accompany you." It wasn't often that he got to leave the Seawing Kingdom.

"You're joking…" Scorch stared at the SeaWing for a moment, "You're not joking." She sighed and rolled her eyes. "There is no way I'm taking you with me, lizard-brain."

Lizard-brain? He stifled a laugh. "Oh, that's a shame." He sighed dramatically and added, "I guess I'll just have to call the guards, then."

"No! Nonononono!" She protested, shooting a quick glance down the hall. "Fine. Fine!" She took the vase out of her bag and shoved it into Royal's talons. "You want the vase? Then go put it back." Maybe she could ditch the SeaWing while he was distracted.

"Wh-" Trying not to drop the vase that was suddenly thrust towards him, he replied, "I thought you wanted it?" Women are confusing.
He could hear footsteps from the hallway. The guards were coming down the hall. "Well, you either get caught for trying to steal, or we get out of here and nobody has to know. Your choice, princess." he whispered. They had about 5 seconds before the guards reached them.

"Ugh, fine." Scorch whispered, snatching the vase and placing it back in her bag. "Follow me." She stepped into the nearest room, pulling the SeaWing in behind her and closing the door. She listened quietly for the guards to pass by, and quickly checked to make sure the vase was still in one piece.

Yes! "To adventure!" he said as he was pulled into the closet. "So, how did you get in here anyway?" he asked. He figured they might as well get to know each other if they were going to travel together.

"That doesn't matter. What matters, is how we get out."" Scorch replied, turning to look at him. "You know your way around this place. How would you leave without being seen?" If the SeaWing wanted to tag along, he'd have to make himself useful.

"We'll have to be quick." Royal slid out of the closet once the footsteps faded. "Follow me." he said, holding the door open for her.
(I request time skip.)

Scorch stepped out of the closet. "Lead the way." She followed him down the hallway, glancing back every now and then to make sure they weren't being followed.
(I guess we can timeskip now if you want?)

Finally slipping out of the palace, he turned to the young Sand/Nightwing. He really needed to come up with something to call her. "You'll have to lead from here."

"Let's go then." Scorch took to the air, glancing back to make sure Royal followed her. Alright, to the Scorpion Den. It would take a while to get there, but she had a feeling Oryx wouldn't complain once he saw everything she had brought back for him.
(Oryx is the guy she usually meets up with to sell her stolen stuff.)

"Still not telling me where we're going, huh, princess?" Ah, yes. The most basic of names. This is what she shall be called.

She rolled her eyes at the nickname. "Don't call me princess." There was no way he would survive for long in the Scorpion Den without her help. "Have you ever even left the SeaWing kingdom?"

"Once." he replied. "But mother insisted I stay right by her side." It was a business trip to converse with the other queens and see how they were fairing. Who was in charge while the queens were away? he wondered.

"Well, today you get to see the real world." Scorch replied, "We're going to the Scorpion Den. When we get there, you have to stay close and do exactly what I tell you to do." She shot him a sharp glance. "Understand?"

"Yes, ma'am!" Royal answered, thankful that she at least answered one of his questions. "Although, I do believe it will be dark by the time we hit the rainforest." He wasn't sure if she'd want to travel when it was harder to see.

"We'll stop there, and keep going in the morning." She answered. "We might even be able to get some supplies while we're there." That, and some more stuff to sell to Oryx, of course. She could easily exaggerate the value of the items anyway, but the more the better.

"Great plan, princess." Yeah, he wasn't gonna stop calling her that.
(You wanna skip to the rainforest?)

(Sure.)
"Again, don't call me that." Scorch said, "We should be there soon."

~Timeskip to rainforest I guess~

"Alright, here we are." Scorch landed gracefully at the edge of the rainforest. "We can get some rest and get going tomorrow." She looked at Royal, flicking her tail. "We have two options. Stay out here, or go into the rainforest?"
(Gtg. Night!)

The prince was silent for a moment before realizing she was asking him and not just talking to herself. "Oh! Into the forest, I suppose. Although, if you'd rather stay out here, we can."

(Whumpis)

"Alright then, in we go." She turned away from him, walking into the rainforest. She could have just told him they were going in, why did she ask his opinion?

"For the record, I was planning to go in anyway." She stated, glancing at him over her shoulder. "I was just going to leave you out there if you didn't want to come."

"…? Ok?" If that was the case, why did she even ask him?
He followed closely behind her, not wanting to get lost in an unfamiliar area.
"So, princess, were you also planning on finding proper shelter? Or should we sleep in the trees?" Royal asked as he glanced around.
This place is filled with trees. That's probably why it's called a rainforest.

"Shelter would be ideal. I was hoping we'd run into some RainWings, and be able to get some food, but we could always just hunt for like, a pig or something."
Scorch looked around as well, though she wasn't entirely sure what she was looking for.
"Oh, but don't eat the sloths. The RainWings like to keep them as pets.
