Stephanie nodded without her eyes leaving her phone. Her smile was replaced with a a slight frown and her happy attitude was replaced with something a bit less happy. If a bad guy did something Stephanie didn’t find amusing, there was no doubt that Stephanie would just kick him or her. “Yeah, make the other Avengers proud. . “

"Miss Rogers, we have arrived," The limo driver informed, the limo having stopped.
"Yes, thank you." Blythe turned to the others. "You guys have your invites?"

@spacebluelily language

Stephanie pulled out her invitation from literally nowhere. It had seemed like she just pulled out a invitation from thin air, which was true, to some extent. She smiled at Peter and Blythe before getting out of the limo. Once out of the limo, she took a deep breath and just looked around.

"I haven't been to one of these for years. Last time I think I was with Aunt Nat." Blythe marveled.
"I don't think I've ever been to one of these," Peter said quietly.
"Of course not, silly. But you get to come to all of them now. With me."

@spacebluelily language

“Aw, how sweet. I’ve been to a lot of these. I think the last time I’ve been to one of these was about two or three years. I can’t quite remember, but this is surely going to bring a lot of memories. Some unwanted memories and some wanted memories. Now, shall we go in?”

Blythe took a deep breath, readying herself. "Yes. Let's go in and get this over and done with." She walked up to the entrance. Being the daughter of Tony Stark, she was one of the more high-end people in the city. So, she got to cut the line. And since Peter and Stephanie were with her, they got to cut as well.

@spacebluelily language

“I keep forgetting that you’re able to cut without making the others in line mad.” She looked back and looked at the pretty mad looking people in line. She smiled slightly and turned her attention to Peter and Blythe. “Yep, without making the others mad.”

Deleted user

"I don't normally use it, but I'm a VIP at most events. And if you're a VIP you get to cut in line anyway. So these people would be getting mad at other VIPs anyway. They're just getting extra mad because it's well known who I am."

@spacebluelily language

“Oh yes, they’re very jealous. And their looks are enough to confirm it, but, haters gonna hate. You can’t do anything about it and they can’t do anything about it. Expect yell and look like a fool in front of other people. Now, can we stop standing outside and actually go inside?”

"Invites," The bouncer said sternly. Blythe handed her invite over, waiting for the others to do so. It didn't take long for him to approve them, and the trio went inside. The thing that was noticeable first was the giant chandelier in the middle of the ceiling.

@spacebluelily language

“Ah, yes. A giant chandelier in the middle of the ceiling that might or not might be taken down by the end of the night due to a very threatening thing that can break that priceless object.” Stephanie said as she walked inside. She looked around and clapped her hands, getting Blythe’s and Peter’s attention. “So, what’s first?”

Deleted user

"Well, I would love to scope the area out, which Peter and I would normally do. But neither of us can do that in an area with this many people. We'll both be seen and I'm a well known person. And I don't know if you can do it either."

@spacebluelily language

Stephanie sighed and closed her eyes, and put a finger to her chin. “What if I scope the area out in my astral form. . but, wait, would that stop the time or not? Dad has been in his astral form multiple times and so have I, but the thing is I don’t understand the astral dimension as well as dad. What to do, what to do?” Stephanie mumbled as she sighed and crossed her arms.

Blythe glanced around, looking up and around. She spotted someone and sighed. She turned to Peter. "Forgive me, Pete. But I'm gonna do something I'm already regretting." She walked away.

@spacebluelily language

Stephanie quickly jotted back to reality when she saw Blythe walking away. She blinked and looked at the direction Blythe was walking, slightly confused. “Where in the actual multiverse does Ms. Rogers thinks she’s going? I will not stand here with an idiot while she does. . whatever.” She paused and then faced Peter. “Well, not really a idiot. . but. . you know what, I’ll shut up now.”

Peter looked around, then spotted who Blythe saw. "Oh, it's just her ex Charlie. Don't worry - he doesn't know that we're together. And I know for a fact that she no longer likes him. He's just really easy for Blythe to manipulate."

@spacebluelily language

Stephanie crossed her arms and frowned. “If Blythe ever does something that affects you in a negative way, I swear to the gods that I’ll beat her up, and there’s the small possibility that I might kill her. . .”

(When it comes to people hurting Peter, she is a ruthless person. She wouldn’t care if Peter forgave them or not, she would literally beat the person that hurts him physically or emotionally. It’s uh. . embarrassing at times.)

"No, you won't," Peter said sternly. "I trust Blythe and I know she's not gonna do anything to hurt me. Charlie fucked with her too many times and she finally cracked. That's the reason they broke up. He broke her and she fixed herself. I know you're protective but you need to trust me."

@spacebluelily language

Stephanie rolled her eyes, now facing away from Peter. Her arms were still crossed, she still had that frown on her face, but now her eyes were following Blythe like a hawk. She sighed and rubbed her temples, and continued looking at Blythe like a hawk hunting their meal. “I trust you. You know, you’re a lot like the oth-“ Stephanie quickly covered her mouth with one of her hands, stopping herself from finishing the sentence. If she finished her sentence, then her jig was up. And there was no way she would be able to explain that she came from a different dimension to Peter and Blythe. . .and the rest of the Avengers.

Blythe slowly walked up to the balcony Charlie was in. At certain events he was even more VIP than her - but only certain ones. This was one of the only events he was. And he had the best view in the room at the moment - perfect for a bit of surveillance.

(you will see what Charlie looks like soon - he's hyperlinked in a chapter)

@spacebluelily language

More and more people started coming inside, and soon the place where Peter and Stephanie were was starting to get crowded. She sighed and made her way to a table, hoping that Peter would follow. She sat on the chair, her eyes still following Blythe. Her phone dinged, she took it out and a look of surprise passed her face when she looked at her phone.

Blythe reached an area where she couldn't be seen. She took a deep breath and then knocked on the door that opened to the small area Charlie and his family was in. Charlie answered, and his face visibly feel when he saw Blythe. She mustered up her courage and plastered a smile on her face.
"Blythe."
"Charlie!"

@spacebluelily language

Stephanie slowly read the message that an old friend had sent her. That friend had been dead for years, so it was no surprise Stephanie was surprised when she got a message from her. Now, the possibility of her friend faking her death surfaced into Stephanie’s mind and she frowned. If she did fake her death, why didn’t she tell Stephanie? She sighed, blocked her friend, turned off the phone and looked around the area. “What to do, what to do?”

Deleted user

"What are you doing here?"
Blythe pushed past him into the area Charlie was in. "Can't I visit an old friend? I thought we left it on good terms? And you have the best spot in the whole building."

@spacebluelily language

Stephanie looked around the area, quite bored. She put her chin in her hands and sighed.
“Peter, what are we supposed to do until Blythe returns? We can’t just sit here and do nothing, No, that’ll be just a waste of time. Not just ours, but everybody’s time.”

Deleted user

"We aren't just going to sit here and do nothing. Blythe is doing her job, we need to do ours. There's a bunch of people here, we need to interact. Might be a little easier to scope out who is an innocent and who is someone from the organisation."

@spacebluelily language

”Well then, let’s go. I gotta admit that it’s gonna be hard with this many people here, but all we have to do is look for the people who look suspicious, shifty and who are talking in very quiet tones. Just like them.” Stephanie said as she motioned to two people who were about 6 or 7 feet away from them and talking in hushed voices.

Deleted user

"Well we'll keep an eye on them," Peter said. "But we can't just assume either: we need to be certain."

"And your point is…" Charlie started.
"I want to see if I can spot anyone special." It wasn't a lie - just not what Charlie was expecting. Blythe's eyes scanned the crowd, taking in suspicious people.

@spacebluelily language

“Of course we have to be certain. It’d be embarrassing if we just assume they’re part of the organization and then we find out they aren’t.” She said with a sigh.
She looked around, her eyes scanning the whole entire crowd, taking in suspicious people and non suspicious people. It wasn’t going to be easy finding the ones from the organization. Things like these were never easy.

Blythe almost allowed her mask to cover her face so that she could analyse people better, but then she remembered that Charlie and his family didn't know about her being Spider-Vixen. She turned to him.
"I've just decided that this is boring. Sorry for disturbing you and your family Charlie." With that, she turned on her heels and walked outside. As soon as she was alone, her suit covered her body.
